MJ Forever Tribute/ MJJC Statement / Estate statement / Fan letter pg51/ GLE put on administration

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

What are they saying about Prince and Paris? People have no shame. I mean these are kids, they don't deserve to be ridiculed, bullied, insulted just because of who their father was. Michael knew what he was doing about protecting them as much as he could. I just hope that all three of them can weather the storms and find peace in their lives after they are on their own.

They're calling them fame whores. I just can't understand these people. The kids make a few appearances honoring their dad and suddenly their fame whores. People have no shame really.

Also Paris just tweeted that Blanket's hair got stuck on one of the rhinestones on her glove while they were on stage introducing Beyonce.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

No. But should we make assumptions and cry "poor Blanket"? Don't think so. Next snapshot with Ne-Yo - he is laughing. I hate to go personal, but I can say this: knowing what is it to lose the only parent at age nine, I probably would cry too if I see the sea of people who came to honour my parent...
Note: I do know how old Blanket was in 2009. I was nine when I lost my parent.

I am so terribly sorry for your lose. it is NOT easy on a child to lose a parent at such a young age..no matter WHO that child is. However Blanket is paraded around on stages in front of camera's....with the likes of the very people that made his father feel bad about HIMSELF...the comments that they have made about Michael have gone UNNOTICED by the Jackson clan...they continue to bring HIS children into the company of these people. NO child at the age of 9 should be subjected to this...it is poor taste on the part of the ADULTS in his life that IS NOW in charge of his physiological well being to put him up on ANY stages as though he was a show piece. Remember what ALL this did to Michael...they took away his childhood. Well not for nothing....THEY are doing the VERY same thing to Blanket. If I see tears....THAT tells me that he is upset about something.

Michael Jackson's Brothers
Doing Another Tribute Show But Without Randy

Another Michael Jackson tribute concert will go down this December in Tokyo and the Jackson brothers will headline the show, but without Randy Jackson ... sources close to the family tell TMZ.

According to our sources, the brothers will perform around 15 songs. The concert will feature several other artists, mainly Japanese acts.

No word yet on any other Jackson family involvement.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

With the trial going on and people making a mockery of Michael's death, I'm simply glad to see the kids don't have their focus on that and are seeing people celebrating their father, and with the exception of that one picture, they all seemed to have a good time. While this tribute has been questionable to say the least, 40,000 people and several musical acts got together to pay tribute and show love to Michael. IMO, that's the most important thing

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

we do have to be careful to start condemning for condemning sake but there are some marked differences between the two appearances:

[1] the children were not required to be on stage at the immortal premiere (at the cost of $100,000 us)

[2] they were not wearing accessories designed by their grandfather in a blantant attempt to drum up sales

in other words for the immortal premiere they could honour their father and enjoy the experience of others honouring their father, while for michael forever their appearance was of financial benefit to both joe and katherine jackson.

truth!

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

did YOU see Blanket crying at the IWOT ,,,,NO,....so please...lets NOT start that here. The kid IS miserable THAT is obvious. A person would have to be blind NOT to see that

Doctor....Super shy Blanket is teary eyed, because he miserable, or understandably emotional about his dad.?

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

did that child actually cry? OMG this is what they did to Michael.

just to make it clear. to attent at a premier of imortal as an audience and to go on stage like this is totally different. Prince and Paris may be enjoying this. they are somewhat old enough to choose and maybe their dad would approve of them being on stage (i believe he would sit down and talk and explain to them what the consequences are. then let them choose) but Blanket looks so sad and he's so young that i don't think he understands what's going on. he was 7 when his dad suddenly was taken away and i think he's slowly is realizing the concept of death. this would be the last thing Michael would let him be exposed to. jmo

Oh... NO! I mean, fine I get they wanna do tributes but timing is a reason for sucess. Wont ppl be bored after hearing all of these tributes all the time and eventually lose interest?? Overexposed too much?

Let's agree to disagree on this one. I would go ballistic if Prince, Paris and Blanket are pushed into performing before coming of age. Otherwise, I don't see anything wrong with them honouring their father. And I do think it is a hypocrisy of epic proportions to phrase their attendance at Cirque and and then bash their attendance at tribute concert. That why I don't do it. But it is just my opinion.

^^^^^^^Retirement concert!!!!!

Anyway.........

It looks like Blanket has detested every minute of it!!!!

I hate to say it, and I know many of you will hate me for saying it:

But the only way out for those children is if Katherine passes away.....

.....it means Diana Ross can claim full custody and save them from terrible future that awaits them!!!!

They won't go to Diana if/when Katherine dies. They would only have went to Diana if Katherine was already dead at the time of Michael's death.

I have to disagree. Those kids seem to have a pretty good future ahead of them. They're smart kids, just like their father.

The kids are away from that mess of a trial and seeing folks celebrating their dad, no matter how questionable this tribute seemed to be

CARDIFF, United Kingdom — Michael Jackson's children helped 40,000 fans honour the pop legend on Saturday as the "Michael Forever" show kicked off in Wales's Millennium Stadium despite a troubled build-up.
There had been doubts over whether the tribute show would go ahead after months of controversy. But the presence of Prince, 14, Paris, 13, and nine-year-old Blanket along with a host of musical stars ensured a celebratory atmosphere.
Headline acts including US pop diva Christina Aguilera, Motown legend Smokey Robinson, boy-band JLS and soul icon Gladys Knight.
Michael Jackson's sister La Toya, who performed for the first time in 20 years, said afterwards "Michael was enjoying the show" and that "having all these wonderful artists coming together shows the children how special their father was".
But youngest child Blanket appeared overawed by the occasion, and had to be helped out by his older siblings while introducing R&B legend Beyonce's performance via satellite from the US.
The side show of family feuding, rumours of feeble ticket sales and a last-minute headline cancellation threatened to overshadow the main event, but despite a downscaling, most fans were determined to create a fitting tribute.
Local fan Claire Norris, who was at Jackson's 1987 concert in the same stadium, argued the "king of pop" would "definitely be for the concert", but would be "spinning in his grave" over the organisational problems.
Fellow Cardiff resident Julie John added: "I was married and my husband wouldn't let me come in 1987 but this is fantastic and it was a really nice surprise to see the Jacksons".
US R&B star Ne-Yo kicked off the show with a cover of Jackson's seminal hit "Billie Jean" complete with dazzling white socks and a passable attempt at a Moonwalk as pre-event acrimony was put to one side.
"This is not about controversy, this is about celebrating his music and life," the performer said to loud cheers.
The 75,000 capacity stadium in Cardiff is better known as the home of Welsh rugby but for one night sporting rough-and-tumble made way for showbiz glitz.
The mainly-female audience let out an ear-piercing welcome for boy-band JLS, who performed a cover of "The Way You Make Me feel", before introducing Jackson brothers Marlon, Jackie and Tito for a reprisal of "Blame It On The Boogie".
Global megastar Beyonce sent her own tribue, performing "I Wanna Be Where You Are" from the US.
Many fans were dressed in Jackson's trademark top hat and red leather jacket while Jackson's famous high-pitched "woo-hoo" reverberated around the arena and inside the stadium's atrium.
US student Martha Gardner, studying in London, said she "had to be here" to pay tribute to an "American hero".
The event was the brainchild of Jackson brothers Marlon, Tito and Jackie, sister La Toya and 81-year-old mother Katherine but siblings Jermaine, Randy and Janet remain opposed.
They believe that the family should be in Los Angeles where doctor Conrad Murray is standing trial for Jackson's manslaughter.
The "Thriller" star died at his Los Angeles home in 2009 aged 50.
There has also been dispute over where proceeds from the concert will eventually end up.
A portion of the takings will go the AIDS Project Los Angeles and Prince's Trust -- both charities supported by Michael Jackson -- but many fans have been angered by reports that the Jackson family themselves stood to make a profit.
Global Live Events, the concert's organisers, have been tight-lipped about ticket sales but revealed on Friday that 40,000 had been sold and the capacity of the show had been reduced to 50,000.
US hip hop stars The Black Eyed Peas dealt the show a major blow on Thursday when they pulled out of their headline slot, fueling rumours of an imminent split.

Someone tweeted Paris about MJ would not have liked this.

moonwalkerJ
@pariisjaxn MJ would have never wanted u guys on stage. He had NO childhood and protected u. Im so sad his wishes r not bein respected

pariisjaxn
@moonwalkerJ so u don't like the fact that we went on stage to represent him? ok

moonwalkerJ
@pariisjaxn I understand u wanna honour him, however entire world KNOWS u on stage is against ur fathers wish & Im really sad for MJs sake..

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

You (not you personally, just fans in general) shouldn't make Paris feel bad for going on stage. She wanted to honour her dad and she shouldn't feel guilty about it.

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

You can see that Blanket wasn't happy about being on stage..the way he was talking...tells you everything

I agree. He messed up the words too. I read that was the reason he cried. I dont know why they made him speak, hes too young for that. You can tell the way he sound he was nervous. :(

Re: Michael Forever Tribute/ MJJC Official Statement / Discussion / Estate statement / Fan letter @p

I think Blanket was nervous at first, he couldn't say his line properly as a result and he was overwhelmed by seeing all the people in front of him. I'm pretty sure that if he was on that stage it was because he wanted to be there but it's one thing what you want and a totally different thing being able to control your emotions, especially given that he is so shy as we all know.
