Justin said in a DM to one of his fans who asked about the song that the Jackson family gave him permission for this song.

guys when The Jacksons were removing Michael's posessions from the house he died in, did they give the Estate all the songs or kept some of them? Remember Will I. Am said he would give the tracks he did with Michael to the family.

okay so this is what Bieber fans are referring as the source of their claims. They are also saying that Justin bought the rights to the song. so I'm going to assume he somehow got the song from someone but he did not have the rights or Estate permission so he leaked it.

In Katherine Jackson - AEG lawsuit it has been established that Jackson removed 2 MAC Towers from Michael's Carolwood home and one of them had some songs on it. They gave the computer to MJ Estate. So at least for a while they had access to some songs, it is possible to make copies I guess.

When I clicked on this thread I almost had a heart attack, but it is a good thing that I continued reading till the end of the thread before I exploded.

If Bieber tweeted about being honored, it means he knew the song was going to be leaked. For him to have the song means that someone gave it to him. He says the Jacksons did. We know that they removed things from the house, and Latoya took the computer and said there were songs on it and she was saving it for Michael's children. (Even one of the T's took papers from the house and up to the AEG trial did not give it to the estate.)

I know I was very shocked when Rodney allowed Bieber to look at so much footage & material of Michael's when they were making the Bad interview. We don't even know if some people kept footage/songs without permission during that time. Rodney also said Bieber was like Michel or some such nonsense.

I hope someone is fined for something, but I have to say I still don't know what is going on.

Ivy if he bought it, do you mean the person who wrote the song sold it to him. Can they sell him a song with Micahel's voice on it?

The production is great (MJ vocals and Instrumental).. but why add Justin Bieber to a song that is already great?!

My concern is why would Bieber take a leaked song that is not his record vocals then leak it. Not good practice in my book,

I think you will find the words "not authorised" by those in charge of his intellectual copy rights and property as to whether it will be released or not is an answer in itself.

song writers can sell their songs but they cannot sell Michael's vocals. That's under the control of Estate and cannot be released without their permission.

Which you would think would mean the estate IS behind this. It is or was obviously intended for a release.

why are you guys hating on this? I have no interest in Bieber, but look at the era we are in. Bieber is "the talk" right now. Give it a change, MJ is singing and if this is going to be a hit, enjoy it before we get a new album

Exactly. All signs tell me that the estate must be behind this. If this gets released they might as well throw the rest of the unreleased songs in the trash.

first of all why do you believe some random 15 year old on the internet saying Justin "bought the rights"? If he did, he could have released it officially, he didn't. so that shows he doesn't have any rights.

apparently Justin himself is saying in DMs that Jacksons gave him the song.

As I said it is possible that someone - whether Jenkins or Jacksons or someone else- gave Bieber the song and he added his vocals. He might have asked Estate for permission to release it and told no and he or the producers might have chosen to leak it. Or he might not even asked anyone for permission and just leak it for the buzz it created.

IF this was obviously intended to release, the proper way would be actually release it - even after it leaked - and earn money from the millions of Bieber fans buying the songs. currently the song is creating a lot of buzz but no one is earning a dime from it.

HELLO. This is just ONE of the songs that are going to come out of MJ. It is not end of the world if it gets released. Great chance that it will be a hit and why should we prevent it? Give it a change

Michael Jackson's legacy and dignity is far more important than getting a hit. Justin Bieber is not a respected artist and putting him on a Michael Jackson song is gonna make people think less of Michael

Also there's already a completed version of Slave To The Rhythm with MJ vocals only

Right so why would they sell a song with Michael's voice on it if we are to believe Bieber. Wouldn't they pay some singer to sing the song and then sell it to Bieber?

What if this leak on the radio reduces the value of the song and its harms the estate's ability to gain a lot of money from an official release? What can they do then?

STTR is brilliant the way it is, it didn't need to be finished because it was already complete and it wasn't even meant to be a duet to begin with. that prick just replaced Michael's vocals for his own with a crappier music.

that "bought the rights" did not come from Bieber. Bieber - if not faked- said Jackson family gave him the song, that's all. It is Bieber's fans are saying that he bought the rights to the songs which can be very well a lie Bieber fans made up as MJ Estate called the song unauthorized and taking the song down. It clearly shows Bieber has no rights on the song, his fans might be lying trying to legitimize the song.

This story burned my soul more than anything.....i dont even hate justin that much....there was just something very wrong about this....i really do hope its not official

Like i said before. He knows his 15 minutes of fame are up so he's doing all this crazy stuff to try and stay relevant
