I hope it's OK to post this here as it contains strong language and harsh humor, but it's so insanely funny that I think it's worth sharing. It's not new, and unfortunately there's no thread reader version so you have to go through all the tweets which isn't too convenient. I just remember having seen a video of one of her live performances and she had her fingers taped like MJ. Do you happen to know which concert or TV show that was? :)

Unfortunately not, it's actually new information for me (are we sure she didn't just cut her fingers? :laughing: :tongue:).

Yeah, I&#8217;m fairly sure. :D

I should add, it&#8217;s been years since I saw that clip, back when I wasn&#8217;t involved with MJ outside of occasionally listening to his music, so I didn&#8217;t make that connection in my head. I remember I was wondering what&#8217;s with that white tape on her fingers, but I shrugged it off, as it was Björk after all, and I&#8217;ve seen way more unusual things from her. :D

I&#8217;m only making this connection now, ha ha. Gotta find that clip! :D

There's hope the video will appear sooner or later! I was looking for the above clip for years and then I've accidentally found it (despite the title which isn't too helpful).

Beside her obvious good taste :D I love how enthusiastically she talks about MJ.
 
This is super random, but I just realized I don't think I ever posted about it. This happened quite a while back, before the coronavirus lockdown closed the place where I work (tutoring place). I always wear a black fedora at work, and there's one student who is a huge MJ fan and particularly loves that. One time I was telling her about general vs. specific and I said "calling this a hat is general, but saying it's a fedora would be more specific." She'd never heard that word and asked me what a fedora was, and when I explained it's the kind if hat I wear, she said "oh, I thought that was called a Michael Jackson hat!" This kid is like 9, so this was adorable.

There's some great footage in here that I haven't seen before and some excellent live performances, too.
Of course, there's plenty that I'm familiar with, but I can never get enough of this kind of thing.
I fell in love with this kid in 1969, when I was a kid myself and I'm still in love to this day.

And while some may question the veracity of more or less newly 'discovered' footage of SIM, the provenance of which is somewhat debatable, I find Human Nature and some other points in the movie far more revealing and exciting.
