I can understand that. Tbf, the only times I truly LOVE his shorter hair is the 1995 VMAs (which I think this gif is from?) and the Wetten Dass performance. I am not crazy about it in the photos from the time. But I think it looks incredible especially at the VMAs, both during the performance and when he's accepting his awards. I think maybe it feels sort of like a throwback to Thriller Michael. The little curls are to die for too. I also love how much you can see his incredible bone structure and smile

Also, I will always always prefer him with curly hair (duh) but I still find him beautiful and attractive with all different hairstyles, so I understand what you mean completely. You can not like a particular look, but it doesn't really matter in the end. Michael is always Michael and that's the most important thing

Oh no, Thriller short hair or OTW short hair is fine. TDCAU shorter hair is awesome. It's this 'short back and sides' thing I'm not keen on. I read somewhere he did it cos Lisa Marie asked him to. No idea if that's true but, hey, true love. What can you do?

I mean, I love talking about all that technical stuff too and his brilliance as an artist etc (as I know you do about him as a dancer, especially) but I find it increasingly impossible to talk about Michael at all without commenting on how drop dead sexy he was every moment of his life. If I participate too long in any one thread, it will turn into Manhood 2.0. Remember the two of us on the "women" thread a couple weeks ago?! Actually, the first other fan I really interacted with back in I think February on Reddit asked me if I thought Michael was a misogynist because of songs like Dirty Diana and I was like ummmm no? And I was surprised she even asked. She had a number of reasons she suggested he might be but I argued against all of them. We both kind of laughed because we agreed that even if he did have misogynistic tendencies we would always give him more leniency than literally any other man haha. But the more I know his work, the more I don't see it at all and I stand by that lol.

I probably need to offer penance for bringing that thread up in here lol.
