Michael's Manhood Thread - 18+ (Read The First Post For Rules!)

Haha yesss!! I’m about to go to bed but I will soon! Have you yet seen the video for You Are Not Alone? 😉
Oh watched it, re-watched it, made Michael sing it to me in my dream one day. And I am over it now  Now thanks to @staywild23 I have moved on to Come Together, Give into me and Dirty Diana as my latest obsession. Of course I keep going back to YANA and In the Closet when I need more material ;)

Oh my God! That last part spin, toe stand, body roll!! o_Oo_O:love:🤩🤯 How can he do that. There is just so much energy in this! 🤯 And right after this he rips his shirt :)

Thank you for the gif.
I knoooow GOD I feel like I come alive when I watch him, while simultaneously, I feel like I can’t breathe and could pass out from both amazement and undying lust hahaha.

Bad era Michael controls my entire life some days lol… I am obsessed with everything about him. Last night I watched a couple Wembley performances and, predictably, had to stop after 3 because I legitimately felt faint. Like, fanning myself, giggling, crying, faint lol. I don’t know how I will ever get through an entire Bad tour, but I know for sure I have to do it alone (with water breaks, cry breaks, other kind of breaks…. 😉 lol)

He is so sexy in that era that I truly don’t know how to handle it. I have honestly never seen any other human being embody so much warmth and charisma, along with raw, unfiltered, natural sexuality, all at once, in my life. Also he is just physically *radiating*… he looks like he’s literally glowing most of the time during that entire era, whether on stage performing or accepting awards, or just existing.

Like… this is hard for me because I am a language person, but with Michael I find myself just relying on the same words over and over because I feel like the words don’t yet exist to describe him. That’s the case all the time, but especially during the Bad era, for me. I have NEVER been so overwhelmingly attracted to a person I’ve never met lol. And sooo many people say he was even more beautiful in person. But how is that even possible when he hardly seems real?! I always come back to trying to pinpoint what about him is so *painfully* sexy and the only thing that makes sense to me is that his inner self is shining through his outer appearance. Because to act as if it’s all just physical attractiveness is wrong. While yes, he absolutely won the genetic lottery with his eyes and his smile, and as much as his curly hair during the Bad era especially sends me to places I can’t even describe, his energy, warmth, kindness, humility, all of it shines through him all of the time. As much as I absolutely think Michael knew the effect he had on his fans and how sexy WE think he is, I don’t think he saw himself that way. Which is why he, and really ONLY he in my observation, can be the absolute sexiest imaginable human being, without ever coming across as full of himself.

Man… I wasn’t planning to go on such a rant about this, but I can hardly help myself!

@zinniabooklover I have to know - what is your favorite era???

@staywild23

OK, first up, that reply you just did to Hiker (with a question to me at the end), that third paragraph? Pure freakin' gold. And not only pure gold but cooler than cool.

I'll have to come back to that another time. There is SO much there. SO much. Jeeeeeez!

Favourite era. Short answer - I don't have one.

Longer answer - well, are we talking music or clothes / image? Either way, I still don't really have one. This is the Manhood thread so I'm probably about to derail the entire thing with one of my longwinded ramblings. But, you did ask!

Looks - the 1970's wasn't Michael's best decade, imo. Not because of his actual looks. He has always been beautiful. I'm quite shallow and am as much influenced by clothes / general image as I am by someone's actual looks. So, those dreadful '70's clothes. And the hair, omg, the dreadful hair. I am absolutely allowed to say this because I was there, I even had one of those awful (god - AWFUL) big afros for a little while (what in the freakin' HELL was I thinking?). WE ALL LOOKED DREADFUL. All of us. The 1970's was a cool decade for music but godawful for clothes and hair. I can tell you who looked good in the '70's. Marc Bolan. Bryan Ferry doing Virginia Plain on TOTP (glitter eyeshadow, ooh). Alice Cooper (sigh). Poly Styrene. Johnny Rotten. And Adam. Beautiful Adam. And that is it. Everybody else looked rubbish. The hippies, the punks. We all looked crap, frankly.

Music wise the Jackson's did Can You Feel It and I even bought it. But that's all.

OTW era. Michael looks cuter than cute but, ngl, did not land with me. Look, girls, I've said this before. Michael is beyond beautiful but I have never fancied him. The late 70's was his worst period in many ways, looks-wise. He just had no edge. I'm not saying he should have. He was always himself and that is absolutely right and proper. Everyone should always follow their own path. And, you know, Jehovah's stuff, etc etc. But in terms of getting me going (looks or music) there was just no edge there. Remember, his OTW period was going on at the exact same time as punk. No competition. He was never going to get a look in. So I still loved Michael at this time but probably paid him less attention at this point than I ever did. He really did disappear into the wallpaper at this point.

Music-wise, generally I prefer the music from Dangerous onwards. Looks-wise, pretty much any era. He's always gorgeous. Image-wise, ooh, bit harder, that one. Dangerous stage outfit, total work of art as already established by Hiker and me. However, Bad era stage outfit probably just takes it although it is a photo finish between those two. HWT - already dealt with this over on heresy thread, really don't wanna get into it again, lol.

Hair styles. How can one choose? Seriously, how? 1970's I've dealt with but once that's over with it's all good. OK, I'm going to commit. I'll go for the 1990's. Think about it. How freakin' amazing is that? BOW - beautiful. In The Closet - ooh! Give in to me - sigh! BOTDF - the French plait. OMG, the French plait! OK, he lost it with the short hair (really doesn't work for me) but, even then, it's only really YANA. His hair in TDCAU is gorgeous.

I think that's enough de-railing for today. Plus I now have to go and watch Give in to me. I haven't seen it since yesterday.

Ooh, be careful though. There's a photo on the previous page posted by MacMandy90 which had my eyes out on stalks. That was my first ever look at this thread and I had to run away. I still haven't recovered, two days later, lol.

I have officially renamed MM90; in my mind she is now Armed&Dangerous. She has a computer, she has a mouse and she has Ninja photo-finding skills.

<goes back to hiding behind the sofa>
This absolutely cracked me up! :ROFLMAO: Alias Armed&Dangerous lol!!

Oh, this is dead handy. Was just coming on to post a comment to you.

Your photo-finding skills? Total respect.

I don't generally wear hats but if I did, I would tip my hat to you.

Awesome photo. I mean, it has totally shredded my brain but, still ... awesome!

Thank you dear lol *tips hat* lol :ROFLMAO:

All the while doing these ninja skills my brain goes bonkers! :ROFLMAO:

The effect Michael has on people cannot just be external beauty. And I agree with the Bad era radiance. He is in late 20s there, still so full of life, so much to look forward to in the world. We have heard from him that he enjoyed being on stage performing (not the touring part, but actual being on stage part) and that shows. Also I think unlike many other celebrities he genuinely liked or appreciated the awards he got, and his fans of course. So when he is smiling, speaking, or thanking fans its heart felt and not fake (or he is a very convincing actor ;) ).

Oh don't worry, we can never get too far from Michael's manhood and sexiness topic here even if we try. Let me add some flavour to this below.

I am totally with you here! :D Music-wise, I am digging the Bad ear at the moment, also the unreleased stuff. Vocals are really strong. But this thread is all about looks. So lets get down to the Dangerous outfit first. 👌🤤 Every time I see him in it, I want to run my hands all over the soft gold fabric and his slim dancer's body lines and abs that are so accentuated by the outfit. I die whenever I see Siedah run her hand down his arm in IJCSLY. o_O😶‍🌫️ Then I want to rip it off 🤐🤐. The HIStory outfit with it tightness and no underpants is obviously sexy, but Dangerous is subtly sexy. Don't know if that's what he was going for!! I know what I don't like about Bad era, its all the metal, its too much though as everything else he makes it work!. Like @zinniabooklover said, we are talking photo finish here.

Yesss, all 3 of those videos are incredible!! 🔥 and haha, my mom has been wanting to watch his videos lately too, and I have a dvd of his videos and I forgot about the beginning of YANA, and on the big screen tv with my mother watching! Haha!! 😳 I don’t think she noticed though 😉

Aww well I'm glad that it spoke to you!! haha I was in my feelings this morning about Michael. I am always in my feelings about him, anymore. But I think when language escapes me I'm especially vulnerable to losing my mind over him because I can't properly express the experience I'm having. But I want to respond to some of your points!

I *totally* agree with you about how the style/image of the era can have an impact. First, I do tend to agree with you about the 70s. Though I love the style for what they were doing with it, I find it pretty distracting when I'm trying to watch content from the 70s. I think the style of the clothing, especially, kind of takes over the dancing and singing sometimes. However, I do think Michael was gorgeous during the Off the Wall era. Like, absolutely beautiful. And so so sweet and cute. But that's the thing I think people often forget - Michael pre-Thriller was honestly very young. (I mean, he was young during Thriller too, but you know what I mean). He was a teenager in the 70s. He was a brand new adult during OTW. He is absolutely beautiful and adorable, but so young. It's hard to see him as a sexy man during a time when he was very young, insecure, unsure of himself (despite being a phenom as a performer already)... he was very involved with his family still and kind of tied to a certain image. He hadn't come into himself yet. He created himself with Thriller in a very intentional and beautiful way. Idk, sometimes I see debates among fans like, if you find him most attractive in Bad, or later in his life, you are somehow rejecting his "natural" appearance, but I don't agree with that at all. In fact, there's about a million ways I could respond to that claim, but I will stick with the relevant one here. If nothing else, Michael was not at his peak even maturity wise. He was still a young man. Too young to really to be regarded in that way for many of us, even if we think he was adorable.

Now when we get to Thriller, my *feelings* start to happen. I find him so so sexy during Thriller. HOWEVER, he was sexy in a "really nice, but also really cool boy in class I am in love with who will never know i"m in love with him and who I will fantasize about loving me back every day until I graduate'" kind of way -- not a "boy I need to immediately have sex with or else I will explode and die in the void" kind of way, which is how I feel about him in Bad lol. SO I guess the point I'm making is, as much as some fans may negatively perceive our attraction to his later days as somehow diminishing his natural beauty, I would say a lot of it, at least for me, is about witnessing his sexual, emotional, romantic maturity blossom before us. Does that make sense?

It's SO funny you mention hairstyles because, as everyone in the world now knows, I'm obsessed with his Bad-era curls. Sometimes I actually try to pinpoint why, on a physical level, I am SO obsessed with the late 80s and it always comes back to those curls. I just....God. I would marry those curls. I would throw myself onto a fire for those curls. I would give away all of my belongings and live destitute somewhere for those curls (thankfully none of this is a requirement for enjoying them/Michael would never allow for such a thing). My point is, I am overwhelmingly sexually attracted to his curls lol. It's like, my sexual orientation is 50% Michael Jackson's curly hair now. It's truly a disaster. But anyway, EVERYTIME I watch the In the Closet video I just desperately wish he had those curls. I'm actually not super crazy about his hair in that video. But I think it's because I can't let go of the curls lol. You see what I'm saying? I'm fixated. But honestly, I'm not sure I'd be alive to type any of this if he DID have those curls in the In the Closet video, as I would have suffocated on my own desire the first time I saw it, and never recovered. Sooo....there's that.

What was I saying?

The effect Michael has on people cannot just be external beauty. And I agree with the Bad era radiance. He is in late 20s there, still so full of life, so much to look forward to in the world. We have heard from him that he enjoyed being on stage performing (not the touring part, but actual being on stage part) and that shows. @Hiker and @zinniabooklover I have to tell you both that I saw someone on Reddit a couple of days ago say that the Dangerous tours are "unwatchable" because of that outfit lol. I thought of you, Hiker, immediately because I knew you'd have so much to say to that LOL. I will say, you two have given me a lot to consider with that outfit. As you know, it's not my favorite. I find it kind of distracting in a way I don't love. But seeing you all appreciate it so much helps me to appreciate it. But then, it also might just be an aesthetic preference. I am not someone into buckles and chains in any regard, but on Michael in Bad OMG. I don't find it too much at all. I find it positively mesmerizing. Especially his belts. OMG his belts just emphasize how rhythmic his thrusting is and that does all kinds of things to me. Ugh, I need to stop thinking about it... lol

Oh! And God yes his external beauty is so overwhelming in Bad. I think his late 20s/early 30s is so stunning in part because he is at that age where he was sort of naturally reaching sexual maturity. But I also think that joy radiating out of him was just.....God, who wouldn't want to be as close to him as possible during that time? He seemed so happy and so free. I don't think that's necessarily an age thing though, but rather this was the first time in his life he was fully independent from his family and fully representing himself, as himself, in the world. I mean, even with Thriller he did the Victory tour, instead of his own tour. This was the first that was all him. He had bought Neverland, he was developing a life completely separate of his family, and *probably* having the freedom to explore relationships more too.

OOOOOhhh and speaking of IJCSLY -- you all -- I swear to god he is *EXCITED* during the entire Wembley performance of that song. Like, the entire time. It is.... everything. I can't even talk about it. Let's move on.

This one...oh my lord

And presenting...his hands lol
betta eye cloud
🥵🥵🥵

@MacMandy90 I have no idea what you are trying to do to me with these pictures, but it is working. IS his neck the sexiest thing about him?!?! No, absolutely not. But MY GOD that first picture. jesus. I can hardly type...

And the hands....his hands are SO sexy... I stare at them all the time. HOW IS HE REAL?! I will never stop asking that question.

hmm, that's interesting. I did not think about Bad era that way. It could have been a happy period in his life, height of his career, being independent, his dreams coming true, finding is own style. I guess that is why those performances are so powerful, he would have discovered great freedom. I don't think I have watched the full Bad concert yet, I get exhausted less than half way through. I agree that he just radiates natural effortless joy during that period. If you are going to make me fall in love with Bad anymore, Dangerous Michael will be mad at you 😤 Wait till you want Dangerous with us though. Dangerous is more about - I have found my place and I know I own the stage, so I am just going to relax and just be fabulous!! Its a different level of maturity.

... here is something to compensate for all the talking. Found it on a random older page of thread

@staywild23

Mm, I think someone needs to figure out how to get you a bootleg version of Michael's t-shirt from TII. The one the fans gave him, 'Curls for my girls'.

Dangerous outfit. Yeah, I understand that there are people who think it's a pile of crap. Seems somewhat OTT to say the outfit makes the show unwatchable. That would be like me saying that about HWT because I'm not keen on the gold pants. That's just weird. I love the gold leotard but I always understood it as a dance outfit not a rock star outfit. Dance outfits are just different. The iridescent jacket, frankly how anyone could NOT see that as a beautiful work of art I simply don't understand. It's one of the most stunning garments he ever wore, imo. The standing still that he does, it's partly that jacket that makes that moment so potent. But the gold leotard, well, I could see straightaway the fencing outfit connection. Also, it's practical. I read somewhere that the silver (red / blue) top from Bad was the same design but tucked into his trousers so not so obvious. Makes sense. With all the dancing, if it wasn't a leotard, it would come loose and then it would look crap. But also, to me, the gold leotard, it's just so beautiful and different and, yes, kind of unexpected. That's part of its appeal. I can't think of anyone who could carry off an outfit like that. It's so beautifully moulded to his body and his every move. It's perfect. I love the flap that gives it a sort of asymetric (sp?) look. And the fact that it gives the contrast between the black and the gold. Fabulous. I mean, it's feckin' gorgeous. The gold colour is very inviting. Alluring. Tactile. Has a lot of depth to it. I love the stitching on it. And the strap at the back? Love it. Makes me laugh. It's bonkers. It's almost like the grit in the oyster. Let's not make this outfit *too* beautiful. Let's do something a little bit off-kilter. Keep them all guessing.

The jacket. When you watch him doing Jam do you go for Bremen or Bucharest? For me, it's Bremen every time. Just watch him do his opening standing still thing. Watch the close-ups. Watch him breathing (actually makes me tearful but let's not go there) and watch how that makes the jacket come alive. The ebb and flow of the iridesence (sp?) as he breathes (diaphragm not chest). Those colours just come alive. Even the material itself, it flows almost like silk. Or water. Or mist. So beautiful.

But I still prefer the Bad outfit (although it's close, real close!). It's Michael flaunting his edge. He already was showing us what he had by Billie Jean and Beat It but now he's just flaunting it just cos he can. It's punk. I love all the metal. All the buckles. The colour schemes (although the silver top is my fave).

When I said it was close I wasn't joking. You can see how much more I have to say about the Dangerous outfit.

In The Closet. Yeah, I wasn't mad keen on his hair to begin with. That's cos I'm not keen on Herb Ritts and his style. It's a very Herb Ritts look that Michael has in that video. I always love Michael in jeans and the boots are to die for. The whole look works perfectly but it did take a while for me to be OK with the hair. In the end, I'm won over because of how much you can see his perfection, his bone structure, just the cleanness of his features. Just really emphasises his beauty. It fits the mood perfectly. He looks very manly. That thing that Hiker was just talking about ('it's a different level of maturity'). I think it's really clear in this video partly because of that hairstyle. And I don't think he could carry off the matador / flamenco dancer vibe with curls. It just wouldn't work. So although I don't usually like Herb Ritts' style, on this occasion he got it right, I think. The hair works especially well for the silhouette shots which I love. Also, it works really well as a foil to Naomi's hair which has all the waves in it. If Michael had his usual curls I think it would be less impressive visually. They each inhabit a very specific space with the different hair and costumes even though they are really connecting with one another.

Not that I'm trying to persuade you. I'm not trying to take you away from Michael's curls. Don't think that would work :D

I know you may have felt you wrote too much here, but I honestly really, really love it. This kind of description of the Dangerous outfit genuinely makes me appreciate it so much more. You and Hiker both have. But I like how much you really dove into it here. I honestly wonder if part of the disconnect for me is really not understanding much about dance or the usefulness of this outfit as a dance piece. I remember the first time I saw it i was sort of shocked, because I just really didn't expect it. It's not like it bothers me, or anything. It's just that it doesn't particularly do anything for me. And with how strongly I feel about Michael, that's a bit disappointing I suppose. But I love thinking of it the way you are describing it. The outfit itself is part of the artistry. And for what it's worth, I LOVE the jacket situation he is wearing over it when he pops out. I think he is absolutely stunning during Jam! It is 100% sensory overload though. I lose my shit completely during those performances. His whole look during those opening moments is all consuming!! GAH I NEED NEW WORDS!!

Oh -- and I have mostly watched Bucharest I think, but the Bremen energy is EVERYTHING. I've only watched these performances a handful of times though, because I legitimately can't handle my own excitement. I have not watched an entire Dangerous concert, or Bad concert yet. I just can't. I am protecting part of my brain that can't process it.

Okay, so let me also say, your discussion of In the Closet may have honestly won me over! I LOVE your breakdown of the whole thing and the style and the comparisons to Naomi's hair, and the entire scene and character of what Michael was doing. Holy shit. You really gave me a lot to think about. I'm going to ponder all of this extensively lol. I really mean that.

Oh, and truly, NOTHING will take me away from Michael's curls. They are EVERYTHING to me. The little curls that fall across his forehead. OMG. I see stars. They drive me completely wild. I refuse to believe the curls wouldn't ADD to any situation in which they were present lol. But I understand not everyone has this deep, relentless passion for them like I do. I can't stop talking about them. I bring them up every time I can and I can't imagine that ever changing. I am an actual monster for them lol.

@staywild23

Ohh and I forgot to acknowledge what you said about the Bad outfit -- yes, it's my favorite, absolutely. But I understand why it's tied for you with the Dangerous outfit. I think the Bad outfit is soooo sexy. I also LOVE the silver top. It's so form fitting and beautiful. But all of his outfits on that tour are just gorgeous.

I also completely understand you not feeling much about the gold pants. I didn't really feel much about them at first. I still, to this day, strongly prefer him in black pants of any kind. Or jeans. I just think he looks incredible in them. So the gold pants threw me. But I do find them very sexy still. I love everything we can see in them  I can't help myself. I am only a human woman and I can only handle so much! I also love his more mature vibe. Older and self assured, etc. It's just a totally different energy than the two earlier tours. Honestly HIStory is the only tour I've seen a full concert of and it was oneI DID not expect to feel so into, but it BLEW MY MIND how hot and sexy he was in it. So, I guess all I can say is even if the outfits aren't always the favorites, they are alll amazing because they are all Michael  🔥🌊
