Agree Rasta. He has been the same way all his life, can never understand some fans.

Love his smile in that photo. Maybe he is giving us a hint of what they style of his new video will be about. LOL!

Been loving the look a lot from the first look at the pics:) And I keep goin back to the pics and watching his eyes:wub: Aww...the man got beautiful eyes....

Not everyone have to love the look, yeah. There can be both likes and dislikes with anything. But any type of insult like, calling him "fool" is hard to bear esp. on this MJ fan community.....

Also, one should remember this: the type of outfit is traditional clothing that shows cultural identity for some people. (shoutout to the members who pointed out the cultural sides)
Many of us usually wear Western-style garments regardless of where we live cuz Westernization has spread many of its lifestyle. I'm from Korea and I guess not many of y'all have seen or worn my country's traditional outfits...If Mike had worn them....there would still be belittling comments...just becuz it would look "unusual" to some people's eyes, when all he does is experiencing different styles of culture and/or wearing different types of clothes.
So, please keep this in mind...

i dont mind whatever he wants to put on but i would love to see him go out in one of those great suits again with the hat too lol that would turn some heads too but then they wont write the bs they write now i hope but then again si.nce its mj they probably wouldn change their attitude anywayz

i dont really care about the outfit, its the face im worried about. that sparkle in his eye has been missing long time, he dont look right. sorry guys....
havent seen him look like the real michael since june 2005, it all started in middle 2000/2001 really:unsure: then for a short time from march to june 2005 he went bk to lookin like his normal self, im not gettin into it tho cos ill probly get a warning :(

I'm worry about him. In some new articles, they say he's so so sick. I don't believe it but somehow I'm still worry because he doesn't look good these time. And we have a lot of pics which he comes to the doctor, I'm so scared abouthis health

Ok you know what I'm tired of this... everytime Michael dresses up like he's been released from the funny farm (that's my opinion to which, I like the rest of you are entitled to)... you all go off your own damn rockers.

I'm tired of members taking these moments to have stabs at each other....

Tired of the judging of each other and accusations of "you're not a good fan, how long have you been a fan anyway? etc"

Tired of members trying to use the photos as a chance to bring in off-topic discussion that they know is a no no (Michael's health, Michael's spiritual choices, his ability to parent children etc).




Soooo if you can't comment on the pictures without bitching at or attacking someone because their opinion on the photos doesn't match yours.

OR

if you can't stay on topic,

OR

if you want to continue your ongoing battle with your common arch rivals... then go somewhere else and don't post here because this thread... like all the other picture threads as of late... will be closed due to circular member bashing.

We don't hear news for a long time and so everyone feels like they have to analyze these pictures? He looks fine to me! He's smiling! You can't really tell if someone is well or not by a photograph because it's just a second frozen in time anyway. Me? I just think he looks good and happy and it's great to see his eyes for a change.

Yeah, I'm so over it all, I don't even care if there's a method behind the madness or anything. All I know is that it causes more negative that positive reactions.

He get's negative press responses (which is fine if that's what he's going for, I don't know and don't ask questions cause I don't care, I'm not his PR person).

Where I do care is because it also causes negativity in the fan world, you have fans who are embaressed (whether it be personal. knowing that they're going to once again endure the "oh your fav pop star is a little :crazy " or whether it be because they feel that "yes, he does look a little kooky and he's suppose to be an adult man etc")
You have some fans who are angry or disappointed because he can look so nice in just a normal pair of pants and top (no need for 3 piece suits).

It all comes together and results in nothing but arguements on here, which I then get the distinct pleasure of sifting through and cleaning up. It's time consuming, thankless and does nothing positive as everyone feels "wronged" that I removed their personal attack against so and so for their stuuuupppid post how could I not see that? (when in reality that stttuuppiiid post was dealt with too :rolleyes: ).
Fans end up being chased off the board by the aggressive members we have who go off at others for voicing their opinion... and then little "groups" form and try to form a popular opinion of which they can then measure everyone elses post. "Oh no! *gasp* you think Michael looks foolish, we're going to berate you and belittle you until you either leave, or give in and realise that he doesn't look foolish he has a reason!!"
Moderators get accused of censorship... but more often than not it's the popular opinion and it's groupie members that are the real censors.

meh. i love him for being him . something's up with all of us. we're all a little crazy. and give the guy a break, he's been in the spotlight since he was like six years old. over top of that all those things he went through..... it's gotta effect him SOME freaking way right?

The thing with those photots is this, Michael puts on a hat which he normally does, a stylish draping top and trouser with sandles.

The only thing that stands out is the type of mask he wears this time and the scarf around his neck.

I would suppose that the reason he wore that scarf is that normally he covers his mouth with scarfs, whereas this scarf lets him talk easily when he goes into a shop.

I would suggest that for fans concerned, the best thing is to write to Michael and express your views, rather than on a forum where he is unlikely to read them.

To me, he looks happy than he has ever been in a long time, but i believe that he would do well if he was style-concious everytime he went shopping as his photos will appear worldwide. I'm sure he is not aware of the impact it has on some fans. If he uses his standard masks, then usually there is nothing the media can say about that, it's when he uses unexpected disguises, which also stand out a lot.

But the combination of a hat, mask and scarf on his head doesn't look good or stylish, when combined with a draping shirt.

The other photos of him shopping in the past have looked nice regardless of how the media tried to spin them.

And thsi is why Michael was better off with a ranch, he didn't go out shopping a lot and was free to move out on his vast ranch without masking himself.

Now, he find himself in a city, having to go out often shopping, something he has not normally done, and that's a challenge to adjust. Whereas in the past, he could plan his outings in advance and pick the best outfit.

He is just trying to keep us slightly amused.:better:

Looking at those cloths, though, makes me wonder if his new video will
have a "Bollywood" connection. Of course, he may have just worned
the tunic and pants because they were comfortable.:fortuneteller:

See you and I know this is a message board... it's a place where ppl, in this case Michael Jackson fans and those who like to stirr up Michael Jackson fans, go to get attention well or news or just for staying in touch with friends. Nevertheless noone's probably posting here to be overseen.
Therefore it's at times good to gather into groups and bash other ppl or groups, it gives you the attention of your group plus the attention of those you're bashing... we've all learned that in early high school.
Either you join one of these groups or you enjoy life aside from them a bit more quiet.
Now some of us grow out of that. Some do need a bit longer... some never make it. However let them be. When something new truely happens this will change a bit again for sure.

Michael Jackson seems to enjoy attention lately... so do his fans obviously... that's ok.
Now new pics of Michael... nice... he looks pretty happy... and yes a bit like :zorro: ... I personally don't really care as long as he looks happy under the mask.
See Michael is the only one who could judge if he likes or dislikes a certain fan behavior and this way might influence it but he never will for understandable reasons. So things will not change here.

Just don't ever think your work here is not apreciated! Because it is! At least by me! :flowers:

Man, some of you all are tripping hard over something which is basically normal for Michael. So you don't understand it, so it's not something you would do because it would "embarrass" you, but you're not Michael and I doubt Michael cares if it causes "dissary" within the fan community. The fact alone that it does shows that there's something "off" about us, I would say. Not him. If he embarasses you, then oh well, don't tell anyone you're a fan then. Because he's NOT going to change, no matter how many times you air your dissaproving opinion about his fashion choices. LOL, his fashion choices. Oh no, my God, he's looks weird, this is the worst thing ever, I don't know what to do! The media is gonna call him crazy... oh God, oh God. For the hundreth time, Oh God.

You all don't get it. Michael IS different. That's just the way he is. The fact that he chooses to step outside wearing something like that proves that he doesn't exactly think like you and I, and there's nothing he can do about it or should have to do about it. You don't like it, but you don't make the rules. There's nothing wrong with it and he doesn't owe his fans the obligation to look like them or act according to societal norms. If it embarasses you because he doesn't fit in and because he doesn't look like you, then too bad. You either deal with it, shrug it off or step out. Because like I said before, this is going to keep happening, and you all are going to keep complaining. I know what you all are thinking. 'Oh, he brings the name calling on himself.' Actually, no, he doesn't. The world brings that on him because they can't accept when someone or something is unlike it, so they attack and ridicule it. You can't blame the victim for someone else' choice or intolarence.

Michael doesn't look like himself since June of 05? Are you serious? You mean when he was half dead? Yeah, he really looked great then. All because he was wearing a lovely suit. Blah, blah, blah. Never mind he was so thin he literally looked like if, to quote Jermaine, you blew at him you'd break him.

I understand your frustrations LJ and you along with the rest of the staff do a wonderful job keeping the forum a great place to visit, so thank you for that.

Just to clear up, I did find the 'foolish' comments quite harsh hence my response, but did not expect to 'gang' or form a likeminded group to berate others who had different opinions -- i thought it was understood as this is a dicussion forum...actually I have no idea why I am in this thread in the first place! I'm not in the least bit embarrassed for Michael and couldn't care less about what he wore so long as he is happy and at peace with himself...just thought I d make myself clear.

I should probably go back to semi lurking now!

I have to say that I was kind of down the day I first spotted the photos. I was very worried about someone close to me. On top of that, in Michael world the tabloid article about Michael's health sucked me as well in spite of 'knowing I should know' better. Then I saw the article with the photos and smiled. It was like a funny gift, A gift of a smile. Michael's smile and mine. Infectious. A little break to lighten my heart for a while. Michael the entertainer, the free spirit, messing with the paparazzi. Even the 'tabloid' article was not bad IMHO. They were like "its on". Each playing their role (TOUR was mentioned :wild:) but no viciousness. The tone has changed. It really has.

And the people making nasty comments on the sites with the photos? One in ten people are supposedly bullies. I guess it is a safe place for them to go and try to act superior. Sad for them. They will always be there regardless of how MIchael dresses or acts. If he let himself be driven into a corner to conform to 'their' supposed idea of what is right he would have fenced himself in and they would strike their final blows. Changing to satisfy bullies never works.
