Yeah, I get a sense that things are becoming calmer again!

People are going about this all wrong though. I think we need to get past the bitterness now. I know a lot of us are angry at whoever is responsible for the questionable songs on the album. But there is no point moaning about it anymore, the best thing you can do is not buy the album at this point.

Agreed....People just need to move on, despite their beliefs...People are starting to sound like broken records...if you don't want to buy the album...then don't....and move on....

No, at this Game, the Estate is the best...they create drama each decision they make...and it's not the end...I can't wait to see the next mistake or scandal they will create.

hey im just happy that "another day" is on it! im gonna download that song and listen 2 it all the time
 
So everything except Behind the Mask and Much Too Soon are more recent material right?
And these two tracks are from the thriller sessions I think?

On my Ipod I'll be mixing these 8 new songs with Shout,OMC and the "newer" songs from The Ultimate Collection. To me that will be the follow up to Invincible ;o)

I can relate to people's anger, disappointment and bitterness. I, myself, was disheartened after listening to Breaking News. Afterall, we've been waiting for so long. The anticipation started to build when words of the recording deal was announced in March. But, just like what some said earlier, we just need to get over our anger and bitterness. It doesn't matter how disappointed we are, the tracklist of this album is finalized. The album is in production. Nothing gonna change.

The upcoming album will never be as good as Michael's past amazing catalog. Michael Jackson was the best producer to his own music. This is a fact. Michael is not here to provide his magical touch. Hence, this album can never be as good as Dangerous or HIStory or Invincible. There is no need to compare Hold My Hand to any of Michael's other single. There is no need to compare this album to any of Michael's other album.

Yes, there are questionable tracks. But, I just can't write off the album completely. I still want to listen to Another Day, Much Too Soon and Hollywood Tonight. This album is still worthwhile. I still want to hear Michael's voice on genuine unreleased songs.

Well, I ask myself will I love Michael Jackson less if the upcoming album sucks and doesn't sell well? Definitely not. Will I love Michael Jackson more if the upcoming album is great and sells tons? Not really. Because he's already in my heart. Not a day goes by that I don't think about him.

I just told myself to appreciate the fact that some good unreleased songs can see the light of the day. I wish the album perform well and pray the Estate exercise better judgement in future projects. So far the Estate did very well on everything else, I still don't understand why they are so determined to include the Cascio tracks.
 
It would be a breath of fresh air if people would stop coming here for the purpose of trying to brainwash Michael's fans into only "liking the tracks" that they like, espcially since Michael's new album has not, even yet, been released for our listening pleasure. :better:
 
I don't know if it's the same for other cities or countries but lately my radio station have been playing a lot of MJ songs lately. :D

They played Black & White, You are not Alone and many others yesterday. It made me so happy. Not to mention, the DJ reminded us of the new album coming out. Cool, huh?

YES! Our local radio station played Scream and Another Part of Me, I was so shocked. Glad it wasn't just my radio station..
 
I have noticed that our two most popular radio stations - BBC Radio2 and BBC Radio1 - are playing loads of MJ tunes at the moment. Perhaps they have for a long time, but I am taking more notice of it at the moment?

'HMH' has been added to both Radio1 and Radio2's 'Playlists' for this week, which is very good as the song is not released until next Monday. :)

Off The Wall - 10 tracks - length ~ 42+ minutes
Thriller - 9 tracks - length ~ 42+ minutes
Michael - 10 tracks - length ~ 41+ minutes

Actually 3 tracks are short (Hold My Hand, Best of Joy and Much Too Soon) but Michael previously also had short songs for example Speechless, Gone Too Soon... Anyway, regarding length 7 songs on Michael are like Billie Jean, Beat It, Bad, Smooth Criminal, Remember the Time, Black or White, They Don't Care About Us, Blood on the Dance Floor etc. --> between 4-5 minutes. :)

please do not compare THRILLER or OTW to the new one...which is even not a Michael Jackson album.

Yes it is Michael Jackson album. And his comparation was good. But Dangerous, HIStory and Invincible had much longer tracks so I thought that this album will be more like that.

Do you have to do this, every thread you go in, negative comments. Funny, yesterday you said you had a right to discuss Hmh in comparing it to other mj songs & now you are asking someone not to compare past mj albums to the new one? Double standards eh?

Michael will never know what is in this album
He didn't approve anything on it when he was alive !
Somebody else sings with him on some tracks to complete his vocals
Some works has been done on his songs after his death

and you call it a "michael jackson album" ?

It's your right to think the new album is not an "mj album" but you shouldn't tell people who don't agree with your point of view otherwise.
 
I just read on wikipedia that sony are expecting Michael sales to be similar to the TII soundtrack, could this right, i thought they were going all out with this, aiming for a number one.

It is their right to call it an mj album if they want, as you are to think it's not.STOP trying to force your opinion on other people.
