This artwork is nice though, but not for a cover of MJ's new material album. They really are trying hard to make people forget what MJ looked like after dangerous aren't they? Even the images on the breaking news site (on the tv's) is from mostly from the 80s!

That's only natural and to be honest, not unexpected.
Does the Elvis estate ever use pictures of 'fat elvis'?
No, they want the public to remember the young dynamic elvis that was a huge hit. It makes commercial sense.

I agree, In most cases when dealing with the "Legacy" of an artist it's probably best to market them at their peak.

I guess my problem is what most would like to see is something put together as close as possible to the album MJ was working on. Which probably wouldn't have included images like this. Plus there are tons of great images from the late 90's up until 2009 that would have made an awesome cover.

Leave the "classic" MJ look for future releases that are complations of unreleased material from various eras.

Re: Can we assume that Blue Gangster and LNFSG are going to be on the album?

Rumors suggest that Love Never Felt So Good won't be on the album....and I don't think it should since it sounds pretty badly dated.

A Place With No Name should be on the album IMO.

I still say a MJ version of "Why" would sound fantastic on the album....IMO it would be a great song to finish the album

What about Dr. Freeze? He/she worked with MJ on Invincible. I liked his...or her work. Are there any left overs from him/her?
 
I don't like or trust Friedman to be honest. He comes across so arrogant. I still can't believe that the media are not paying any attention to the fact that well over half of fans on all the fan forums think this song is fake....
I asked on another thread if anyone thought it was weird that the 'vocalist' on breaking news sings 'fakey faking breaking the news' at one point. Is that weird or what?

Will you stop pissing over absolutely everything? Every single one of your posts has been utterly depressing these last few days.

I know the whole Cascio controversy sucked and has dampened a lot of fans spirits, but there's still a lot to be excited for - in the next few weeks we're getting new authentic Michael songs and a brand new music video. Stop ruining it for the people who want to enjoy this experience.
 
I Love the cover. It's a little busy but its beautiful and I totally understand what they were trying to do.

oh and thats Katherine under Jane Fonda NOT Oprah...wow!

Hello MJ Fans!

I never felt so empty after hearing Breaking News the first time.
I had a weird feeling is it michael or not when i listened to the song. But whats important to me and i want to know the truth. Is the song structure mj's idea yes or no??? Thats the main question for me!! After all the debate around the vocals mj yes or no. I still want this
album to succeed not for Sony but for Michael yes Michael.
His legacy is not depending on this album but what people forget. it's about celebrating
his live/music/performance and spreading his love of music once again.(THIS WAS OUR TIME IN MEMORY OF MJ).

SONY TAKE YOUR RESPONSEBILITY and replace the 3 casio songs with real mj records
maybe than you will get a portion of respect back!! And I think from promotional side it will sell a lot more with real mj tracks!!!
 
Why on earth would they include the Cascio tracks on the album and NOT go for the songs with Will I AM?

I guess 99 out of 100 potential buyers of the album would know Will's work /reputation - that would be a big advantage trying to reach the younger buyers!

I'm trying so hard to look forward to the new album with joy...

The Estate and Sony have a golden opportunity right now to really build upon Michael's legacy. Not that it needs it, but because he deserves it. And they are blowing it.

I'm hoping that the track Michael did with Lenny Kravtiz makes the cut.

Those two together equals DYNAMITE in my opinion.
