Michael - The Great Album Debate

It sounds Jean Walkerized to me...

I think the same but in sec.10-12 it is so similar to MJ...I hate this situation when I am not sure about MJ voice. I thought it could only happen with cascio tracks but now...

@Chamife ...Oh wow!! That's so cool! You did a great job..I really love it :D
Thanks :D. She loved it too.

@Bumper and Love is magical: It's not me in the pics, but one of my daughters. Thanks for the compliment, though. Yeah, she's pretty. (That's why I removed them again later).

@ Bumper: Pfeww, experience must have scared you. With little unes you always have to have eyes in the back of your head, huh?. Ongelukjes zitten altijd in een heel klein hoekje. Glad nothing really serious happened.

Actually, we're saying Jacksonstein is disgusting. I concur, fake or not.

BTW, what does everyone think of the new MJ snippet that Pentum posted? Sounds incredible, huh? That voice... Leagues above the Cascio tracks! I mean, that is some pure, powerful MJ vocals! I wonder if it was a song he was really passionate about...

Can someone tell me why the Cascio vocals aren't that raw and powerful, even in a technically more complete form (based on Pentum's info)?
Aww...heard it a few times. I'm not exaggerating when I say this snippet of 36 seconds does more to me than all Cascio songs together. Melody got to me and it does sound like Michael. Curious what song it is and I wonder what producer/songwriter was behind this (if that's the case of course).

@ Pentum: Thanks for posting. Listening to it over and over again (also trying to decipher wat's being sung).

Technically your saying Michael Jackson is disgusting.

you know even if it was actually michael jackson it would still be disgusting, i love michael jackson but that doesnt mean i have to like every song by him in existence -___- no one is perfect, not even michael jackson, so if it is him its still disgusting, nothing technical about it now. as far as you are concerned i just called mj disgusting ^__^

I need to get to my good earphones to listen it better but ALL seems to be from Gibbs song. No? and in my crappy computer speakers 7-10 seconds seem to be different recording than the rest. Did I pass? :p

Welcome to the club! :D
If we now imagine someone who is able to sound somehow like MJ is singing under those samples, like Marcus Joseph Williams, maybe pitched up, and an actual MJ producer produced the song, who (obviously) has access to many geniune MJ samples, and it is released on an actual MJ album...
Well.

*crickets*

I thank you all for your kind words and support. My son had to spend a night in hospital because doctors needed to monitor his heartbeat during the night. He had accidentally swallowed an anti-allergy liquid product.

Now, he's finally back home and as strong and healthy as ever :)
Those are really great news, what a relieve! :)

That audio it´s not MJ.

The good thing is that he sounds better than Jason on Cascio´s tracks.;)

Well.

I'm currently not in a position to say if it sounds like Michael or not. I'm at a work computer with crappiest on screen speakers.

Sure but you also need to look to the other way around. If pentum could fool people , it should also question the people's ability to identify Michael's voice. If being a long term fan gave us the power of realizing Michael's voice better than anyone then we shouldn't be fooled. and also again if some people fooled , perhaps it should show that attacking other fans for not hearing what you hear is quite unnecessary and it's not their fault and it's not that easy or clean cut to determine Michael and an impersonator.

I guess so. We're taking almost anyone. :D

That's exactly what he's trying to do.

You are right. This discussion has shown that it doesn't matter, how long a fan anyone is.

and also again if some people fooled , perhaps it should show that attacking other fans for not hearing what you hear is quite unnecessary and it's not their fault and it's not that easy or clean cut to determine Michael and an impersonator.
And you are also right on this one. This is a thing I learned. It seems it's not as easy as I thought it is, or as it is to some people. I didn't know that listening was that subjective. But after loads of comparisons ... well ... I thought that would settle it.

Because everyone should be - not from the start ! - after loads of comparisons able to see that the Cascio-singer's vibrato is way more similar to Malachi's than to Jackson's.

I am hearing it with laptop speakers and it´s not MJ voice.

It´s not his way of sing.

It´s easy to see it´s not him, I think he is Jean Walker.

Sounds whiny to me...But much more convincing than Jason lol

I don't have to recognize Michael in a cloudy, 36 seconds lasting snippet. I have heard all Cascio tracks/snippets and tons of clear 'real' MJ material to compare.

Drew the same conclusion as you. :) I also did not get a chance to hear it on proper speakers/headphones yet, but to be honest I do not think it will influence my judgement one bit.

I had a long post about all the research about humans ability for voice identification and it really sucked :) people aren't really good in voice identification.

Two factors were found to be significant
1. how often the person was exposed to the voice (not long but often)
2. some people such as musical ability were better than the rest

But after loads of comparisons ... well ... I thought that would settle it.

from that research perspective it shouldn't. Because when people were given a name and ask to identify that person from a bunch of speakers and actually played an impersonator, they would identify the impersonator as the real thing. It's also why law no longer accepts such voice identifications to stand. From the research it shows if the people are lead , they will hear things that aren't there or real.

On seconds 00:25/00:26 you can hear it´s not MJ.

It´s like the crying "goating" way of sing of Jason Malachi.

I have to say it´s sounds good and i like the voice and music.

smh..

That's the problem. Some are led by genuine samples and the official word.
Some are led by comparisons.
Some actually come up with it themselves, speak out and eventually make comparisons.

I believe, vibrato speed is the key, and I'm gonna show it.
Sooner than "the truth will come out". ;)
