Michael Jackson’s Kids In Exclusive People Magazine Feature

Thank you Ivy for posting...but what a waste of paper.

Where is the big Exclusive? How is it credit to Katherine that the kids are "normal"? MJ raised his kids for 12 years...she only had them for 2. And most of that that, they have been pimped out to the highest bidder.

The media is so clueless... sooner or later, they will wake up.

ETA: I am under the impression, the kids don't spend that much time with their grandmother. The kids stayed at the same hotel I was at in Vegas. They were with the cousins & bodyguards, Katherine was nowhere to be seen.

At the Cirque show, she sat by herself, while the kids were a few rows below. I am hoping I am wrong, but these kids are being raised by nannies & bodyguards, while Katherine is sharpening her new found business acumen.

It's just sad she is getting all credit for MJ's hard work. Until the kids start giving interviews, and remind people what a great father MJ was, I am afraid this will continue.

Jackie says, 'they (PPB) stay with the family'. I'm sure that will be the plan - no getting away like MJ managed to do in the 80s.

those were my first thoughts exactly. like they wanna entrap them or something. I'm sure the plan is to to keep them entrapped for as long as possible.

I have a "feeling" that Prince will leave the coop sooner then later. He just seems so mature. I see him wanting to do his OWN thing, independent of the family. I also have a feeling that since he is the oldest and was with his father the longest, he "may" have already been told AND TAUGHT certain things by his father.

If I'm not mistaken, he has also said that he "wants to earn his own money." With all of the money he will collect from his trust fund, he STILL has the presence of mind to know he "wants to earn his own money."

All of the family's "give me this and give me that," along with "can you do this project with me," might not be Prince's cup of tea when he comes of age. Just like it wasn't his father's cup of tea after a while.

what I posted is what they put up on their website. the magazine version is probably longer.

I don't remember Michael had a choice to say 'no'. He hadn't. He talk about it many times. Just remember his bitter speaking memories in Shmuley books about his own childhood, feeling like in a trap, there's no choice, no being normal and feeling hurt because of it.
It's sad that kids seems growing up the same way
 
Diplomate, I agree that the kids are not as helpless as many of you make them out to be.
Michael may have very well been helpless but the kids especially the older two, no, I'm not buying that.

No im sure paris loves the limelight.the problem is the adults around them that will exploit them

but i have a strong feeling that they have no choice anyway

I agree if they didnt want to be there, they wouldnt. With the exception of Blanket who seems to be making a real effort sometimes, it's just a feeling. But as kids, they cant imagine the dangers of what they're doing. Because, thats' what parents are for...

I don't think anyone's trying to dispute the fact that Paris likes hogging the limelight, or that Prince enjoys being in public. I'm sure they enjoy it, when you have a bunch of attention seeking relatives, you think that's the way to be. The point of what most of us are trying to make is that they don't really have a say, I doubt they can tell their ''hands on'' grandma, that they don't want to sign belts, be incorporated in a contract, aren't in the mood to attend this or that event. It's simply ''get dressed we're going'' or ''sign this for your dad'', or ''you're gonna help your uncles out by wearing this''. I highly doubt they're aware of the dangers a life in public/showbiz brings along, all they see is the fun side of it, people screaming their names, taking pictures, getting to know famous folks, stars bending down to them cuz they're MJ's kids'' etc. I don't think they are truly aware of the dark side of showbiz, and those Jackson's aren't there to protect them from anyone. They're there to sell them out to the highest bidder, they've done it throughout these 2 and half years. And when the kids get older, around 18, they'll even sell them out more, they won't be there to help them if they get into trouble. The odds of the Jackson's holding press conferences, to talk about their problems are a dozen times higher, than the odds of someone stepping in and helping them out.

I feel bad for the kids. I really do. :( When Michael was alive, he kept those kids protected and maintain their privacy. The general public and the media hardly talked about them unless it was about their veils and masks. To add to that, he was just a great father. Now that Michael is gone, the kids are everywhere now (tons of paparazzi pics, a certain family member and "friend" has tip them off), public appearances, interviews, etc. Not only that but the Howard Mann contract, signing belts for auctioning, using the kids to promote their (the family) products, etc. The family really doesn't have the kids' best interest . :(

The MORE the kids are out in the spotlight, the MORE the family blabs about them the MORE the kids are vulnerable to attacks by the media and general public.

I'm so sorry Michael :(
 
As the kids of the most attacked celebrity of all time, it is absurd that these kids are as overexposed as they are.

It shows how out of touch the family is because pick up any interview with most of today's young stars and especially today's second generation and they really hammer the point that they don't want the fame, they want to be known for their art.

So this is why the kids being so overexposed is embarrassing. What celeb kid do you know of is this overexposed?

These kids are just going to become walking examples of what you don't do.

You are so right.. It's like the Jackson family haven't learned a damn thing. Did they even hear MJ drugged up on Murray's i-phone talking about his lost childhood and how much he wanted to help children? Did Katherine even hear that at all? :bugeyedNow she's out here pimping her dead son's minor kids. What is wrong with her?

Two years after their father’s death, the children are “doing great.”


As if the news about them being in "Exclusive People mag feature" was not enough...that first line alone made me vince and not want to read any further.

As if they're somehow glad their father is gone and now they are free and happy, doing whatever they want, enjoying themselves, out of prison or something, 'doing great'! Not to say they should be wallowing in pain and sadness all the time, but doesn't the fam know how they're insulting Michael's outstanding abilities as a an amazing father?! They are saying such things to the media that 'killed' him by mercilessly discrediting him all along!!!And now this!


If the children are intelligent, talented, nice and well behaved it is BECAUSE THEIR FATHER raised them and taught them to be that way!!! MICHAEL nurtured them for a decade and made them who they are! But the media, THANKS to the fam keeps showing as if they were being tortured before and are finally in safe haven!

Shame on you People and shame on you J fam! You keep putting a knife in our wounds and turning it over and over again...but of course you have NO idea! After all, for you " Michael was family" and for us he was just "an icon", right?! And that is why we are still hurting like we were two years ago, and we will keep hurting because the pain will NEVER go away. We know NOTHING will ever be the same again and we will NEVER 'feel great' anymore! Yeah, sure we're "just fans" and you're family! Thanks for reminding us that over and over!

It's baffling, but look at how the media is now propping her up by saying she is giving the kids a normal childhood.
 
I hope this is not distastful to some people.. but does anyone want to see Prince get a hair-due change!!? I'm just sayin' lol!! the mullet aint workin for me.. All in Love!

You are absolutely right Ankita. We will never feel ok or doing great anymore referring to MJ's storys, news or memories. On the one hand we should be glad for children who are doing great without father and with people who hardly saw them when daddy was alive. But on the other hand i can't be glad or happy just watching what's going on.

I get the impression that the Jackson family is determined to show that they will not deal with the media the way Michael did, that they want to be seen as better than Michael is this area. It is almost apologetic - sorry that Michael was so weird and unapproachable, we'll do better promise!
 
^^ But they're rubbish at the media. They're all over the place, some inside sources saying one thing, and other family insiders saying the other, inane tweets from various family members. And if they think by throwing a bit of 'red meat' to the tabs and titbits to tmz will keep the media onside, that's never going to happen. The media are just waiting, ready to pounce - you need a phalanx of pr/publiicity people to have any sway with controlling your image in the media and the jacksons have apparently nothing and no one.
 
^^^ I completely agree that they do not handle he media well but to me it seems as though they think that they do (and certainly better than Michael did). And it is not only dealing with the media, it is mainly about the lives of Michael's children. It reads like 'we know Michael did was weird (the whole veils thing) and we didn't approve, but look at us being normal.'

But doesn't the lack of success and respect towards them tell them that maybe sucking up to the media isn't working for them?

IMO, the better move would be to kiss MJ's feet. Show everyone that you have his back. Why portray themselves as a bunch of suck ups to the media? They of all people should have the biggest middle finger at the media.
