Michael Jackson's father, Joe Jackson, is very upset that the media has not recognized the amazing record breaking acheivements that Michael Jackson has once again broken!



He is not the self proclaimed king of pop..HE IS THE THE KING OF POP!

Remember it was Elizabeth Taylor that called him that, in fact she said "The King of Rock Pop and Soul"

Even Oprah Winfrey at one point thought that the title "King Of Pop" was too limiting for him and that he was more like the "King Of Music." Which I agree he is not only the King of Pop, but the King of Music. His record breaking acheivements, over the years prove this.








NO other artist has accomplished what he has recently with his record breaking tickets sales acheivement for his upcoming tour in London! THIS IS A FACT and not self proclaimed!



Michael Jackson has broken these records with ticket sales:



1. The biggest audience ever to see an artist in one city.






2. The most amount of people to attend a series of arena shows.






3. The fastest ticket sales in history.








Michael sold out a million tickets in 2 hours, at one point the website was getting 16000 requests per minute for presale codes, the ticketmaster website crashed in an attempt to keep up with ticket sales proving that Michael is still loved and adored worldwide!!!



So please not only re-post, but spread the word around and fax and email all media outlets about why they are not reporting Michael's incredible accomplishments?? If it were they other way around it would be all over the news!



It feels like another conspiracy attempt to conceal the truth from the public, by not reporting it they way they normally would with any other artist who would have acheived this incredible accomplishment!

Since when has the media been fair, to Michael or anyone? I don't blame Joe for being upset, but this kind of thing happens all the time. They're all vultures, feeding on people's despair.
 
You'd think he would be used to it though??

Surely this cant be a suprise to Joseph.
 
It doesn't matter if you're used to it. It still hurts to see people treat your child with disrespect, especially when you know that they've achieved something greater in their field then anyone else in history.

I dont blame him for being upset...its pathetic the way the media treat mike :angry:

And years before any of that, the MEDIA crowned him the King of Popular Music, before that the MEDIA declared him the King of Records. It was the MEDIA that first crowned him the King of Pop, based entirely on his record breaking and still unsurpassed achievements at the Grammys and elsewhere.

Michael is the only artist, living or dead, that the media continuously tries to strip of his well-earned title...
 
we will never let them rob him of his legacy... well, I won't anyway. I shouldn't speak for others :innocent:

I can understand why he's upset. Let's not forget, he was born and grew up in a much more racist era of the US (it still is racist, tho) So, he strongly feels his son is treated this way becuz of racism. His reaction is not only about his son as a father, but also against that injustice that he's endured in his life.
 
The Media should give praise to Michael who is really a musical genius and stop always looking to spread Horrible gossip to bring his career down.Haters are not welcome in my Michael Jackson Club.And Tabs are trash. I don't blame Pop Jackson one bit for being upset.

Nothing can be done about it. The only way for MJ to fight back is keep getting breaking records! and do fantastic in his concerts!!! I just hope when MJ performs, he will shock the whole world once again!!! and let the haters eat crows and rot in their jealousy.
 
and ijust read an article here on the mjjc site that mjs essential michael jackson record has reached #1 in the billboard pop charts!!!!!!!!

aaaaaaaaahhhhh! but where is that being reported have u even heard about that???
 
I'm which ya joe on this one. I mean it was *cricket cricket* all up and through the media. They ain't saying a WORD about michael's "IT" shows. Ghost town sho nuff. How sad (on there part) cuz when the press con. happened they were laughing like mike was some kinda joke, Now that the egg is smeared on their face.... *cricket cricket*

I lot off ppl who don't keep up with entertainment news or watch tv, much, for that matter don't even know michael is doing shows. That's just how quiet it is. You tell me if any other star had accomplished what michael just did, that it wouldn't have been ALL over the news. You just can't tell me i'm wrong. I really hate how they do him. And I completely understand why michael had his doubts and reservations.

btw...you don't get used to being hated on. sorry. nope. you don't. Dealing with it, is one thing but never USED to something like that.
 
oh and I check msn front page everyday. They have news or whatnots flashing on the front (like a small slide show) on current things happening and NEVER... NO... NOT... ONCE did they put michael up there. Now ok so that's find but they didn't even recognize him in the bottom headliners without pictures. Now here you have somebody that just sold out 50 shows in one city and within hours. AND NOT ONE MENTION. Come'on now. Then what erks me is that they had the nerve to have jessica simpson (not front headline but a little farther down the page with a little pic) on a headline talking about some "why did she get booed at a concert" or something stupid. And I just was like, what the heck!?! Are they serious!?! Here we have mega global international superstar genius breaking records and setting NEW heights and yall going on about dumb ole jessica non singing no talent having simpson. Reallllly! And what got me is that they were focusing on the negative about her. I mean really we know she can't sing and only has a record deal cuz she rich to begin with so why make a big deal when she can't sing msn. why? When you knew that already. The media really just trying to dwell on the negative. even with poor ole jessica. Ugh! That really erked me fo real.

You havent read the thread properly. I am talking about why it is suppossed to be different that Joe is angry now when im sure he has been pissed of at the media 100's of times before and that it shouldnt be suprising to him. To which someone replied, because Michael has accomplished something special, to which I said. He has never accomplished anything special before?

he's doing the right thing as a father. and i as a fan will continue to treat every trashing of MJ as if it is done for the first time.

nobody ever gets used to getting hurt..no matter what anyone says...you can quote me on that.
 
i just read the news today that bono has done a super-duper record with selling out a stadium in barcelona in 2 hours with his band U2...

but i didnt read anything about michael in the last days.

so here you see, artists like U2 are praised by the media because they believe they are so "cool" and untouchable, but with MJ they maybe raise their eyebrows and then think:

"no we can't bring this in our news"...
