"Michael", a biopic about Michael Jackson, is officially happening.

It'll be interesting to know who produced the song, it sounds very well polished, including those very Mike sound background harmonies.
Right now the YouTube video just credits Jaafar

It seems that jafarr's song '' rebirth of michael'' has disappeared from apple music and other spotify platforms around the world

That makes it even more weird haha because that would mean it wasnt meant to be released. I can still see it on my spotify though.

I doubt its a leak, because it was uploaded at Jafaars official spotify, so some must have hacked it or something in a case of a leak. However, on youtube its on a random new account without a profile picture and other videos.

A new set is being built for the biopic. All of these albums came out in 1979 so it shows that they'll be filming the OTW period next.

and they have all the details down (including the exact same microphone Michael used on the Dangerous Tour).
Good point here. Yes i noticed that too. And the head set mic that m used on the dangerous was quite state of the art at the time because some other artists were still using mics with stands/ cordless.

Some small history of the Headset Microphone.

April 1979, Kate Bush - The Tour of Life
May 1986, David Bowie - Glass Spider Tour
October 1986, Janet Jackson - "Control" music video
February 1987, Janet Jackson - Grammys
February 1990, Janet Jackson - Rhythm Nation Tour
April 1990, Madonna - Blond Ambition Tour
June 1992, Michael Jackson - Dangerous Tour

Random- Google tells me he used a Shure WBH54B for TII.🤷‍♀️

I wonder why he didn't use it in the bad tour🤔

I hope they either stick to the music or make a brief reference to the accusations and how they impacted him personally.

I never liked the headset tbh, the hand mic seemed to give him more power
Mm it took a bit to get used to I agree. But would it have ' dated' him using a mic? maybe not. Madonna was the only other artist using a head set and that was in 1990 .. and he was always about reinvention / using the latest tech.

Like the RED camera for instance.

Sorrry I'm off topic. But back to the mic ~ I would say it is very appreciated by most of us here to see that little yet important details are being carefully paid attention too.

Can I still contribute an idea for the intro of the movie? :)

Starting with the Bad Tour would be awesome: Seeing MJ from the back making his way to the stage and starting with 'Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'; that always gave me chills (even more than the toaster opening from DWT)

Edit: I wouldn't surprise me if they start the movie with 'Jam' from DWT though, then end it with 'Man in the Mirror' and show the rest as flashbacks

The opening scene should be young Michael (day)dreaming of playing with other kids on a tranquil sunny day with a lot of laughter and running only to get a rude awakening of father Joe loosening his belt on a tense rehearsal scene. After that scene we switch to Michael in his room to play with his imaginary mouse friend as Ben plays (Tearjerker moment)

The next couple of scenes should include screaming fans harassing the boys on stage and the street as they move from hotel room to hotel room during touring and recording. During these scenes rocking robin gets played in the background. Itis all very frantic and even scary at times.

Then it is revealed that it is an older Michael re imagining these old times, confiding and pouring his heart out to a friend or even therapist.

It was a recurring topic throughout his life that he missed out on being a kid so it should be a central theme in the film to get the audience on his side. It will also ease in later adult scenes at Neverland of Michael having fun with children (possibly with Childhood playing during a montage)

I think the film should try to answer one question above all - why was Michael the way he was? This should be a movie about how he achieved excellence in the face of constant abuse from the world around him. It should make the viewer feel what it is to be the loneliest man on the planet while also being the most famous. I feel like a dark tone like the Joker in some aspects may actually suit the way he experienced the world. It shouldn't just be all happy and "yay Michael". It should substance, meaning, depth and a message. People should walk out of the cinema not only amazed by his talent but they should ask themselves "oh my god, what did we do to that man?"

How many days are they scheduled to shoot this movie? I thought I originally read 80 or 90.

Here's what I think and ion care if it's an unpopular opinion

All of this is a joke to me. Biopics are no fun. I mean, why would you enjoy watching someone else acting as MJ when there is literally 4k concert footage out there. No. This ain't for me. Good if you like to waste 3 hours of your life seeing someone else acting as the greatest artist of all time, again, when there is CRYSTAL CLEAR concert footage from the 80's to be exhibited in cinemas all over the world. But no, let's make a boring ass 3 hour film of someone else acting as MICHAEL JACKSON. Oh but it is jafaar how could you say that. Yup, I CAN. still not Mike.

I can see why this opinion is unpopular. Biopics have been very popular of late and they've been a dependable cash cow. The Michael biopic may well gross over a billion dollars and will likely put Michael's music back in the spotlight again. After that maybe you can have your concert cinema tour but there wouldn't be the demand for that now.

I know I made a great comment when someone brings the money talk lmao. Yes indeed, biopics make great cash thanks to braindead people who enjoy mediocre films :)

This is why we are NEVER getting HD Bad or Victory tour films. Because some of you all support shitty, mediocre ass releases.
