"Michael", a biopic about Michael Jackson, is officially happening.

God help me if Branca has a massive part in Michael's biopic 😅

Didn't Branca and Mike part ways in the late 80's/early 90's? Then he came back in mid 2009?

This could be the biggest hint we've had about the timeline yet

No Branca was also in the History-time on Michael`s side. They had up and downs but he was a longtime-adviser from Michael and I think maybe the best he ever had. He even made the contact from Michael with Lisa. Michael spoke in the Diane Sawyer-interview about it. I am not surprised when there will a place for him in the biopic. Michael did fire Joe Jackson as a manager and took John Branca as his lawyer, the buying of the Beatles-catalog, getting Michael his masters, the deal for the Thriller-video and other milestone-deals they did together, I am sure this will be a part of the biopic too.

Oh that's right. Well remembered my friend

The more stuff that's come out over the last few weeks, the more I can see this biopic being like The Jacksons An American Dream

I'm not so sure, An American Dream was obviously more focused on the rise of the Jacksons including a lot of Joe and Katherine's back story , I doubt we will get anything like this.

In the series how far did they go again? Just up to the initial success of Thriller? It's been ages since I watched it.

I honestly think we won't be getting much of the Jacksons stuff unless it's the first 25/30 mins or via flashbacks.

There is just so much adult Michael content to cover that there won't be enough time.

Yeah I hope so too.
But fans need to keep in my mind, this film won't be 3 and half hours long, it'll probably be around 2 hours. So a lot of stuff will be skipped over and even left out
its needs to be 3 hours max cuz it sounds like it just might be like american dream

i know but it needs to be it needs to clear michael's false allegations once and for all
You keep saying it needs to be. I'm just saying you'll probably be disappointed if that's the way you're thinking.

Awesome if it's in depth but expecting that and nothing else will lead to disappointment.

What needs to be conveyed well is Michael's artistic genius on the one hand and his naivety and trustworthiness on the other.
Because you don't necessarily expect from a perfectionist like Michael to trust the wrong people again and again.

I heard on the MJ cast, Taj said that someone (implying Oprah) doesn't want the biopic to happen.

I bet it will be from the perspective of them going through doccuments for the trials, going through MJ's history for the court in 2005 or something, could be a great way of linking it all together and having the "climax" of the film being MJ being found "NOT GUILTY".
This is actually not a bad idea. I like this
