"Michael", a biopic about Michael Jackson, is officially happening.

Guys! You forgot about one important fact: the producer of Bohemian Rhapsody is going to produce Michael biopic! And as far as I remember in Freddie Mercury film, they showed mostly his adult life! Without childhood and death! Film starts with Freddie being around 20s. And ends with 1985 performance (6 years before Freddie's passing). So, according to this fact, in Michael biopic we are going to see a little bit from his childhood, around 15 minutes (just because his childhood is very important in his career). 80% of the film will be about Thriller, Bad and Dangerous eras. They won't include This Is It and his death at all! And film probably will end on 2005 court, when Michael was finally justified! In my opinion 40% of film about allegations and tabloid junkie problems. And actually, Michael film will probably end on good ending, because usually movie creators don't really like endings, where protagonist dies. So, I bet it's going to end with Michael's justification in court
Don’t you think that the director will have something to say about the framing?

The queen movie made money. MJ can easily equal that. I'm thinking biggest biopic of all time, four stars, cinema.
Queen movie made close to a billion. That is very unlikely for a biopic. If MJ's biopic can even do 300 million at the box office, that is a success, in my opinion.

They've barely boycotted Ezra Miller and his sins are far more egregious than Michaels, especially postmortem. They won't do much there.
I'm not sure that is a good example to use since The Flash didn't do well. I don't think most people even know who Ezra Miller is anyway, and is not as well as known as Michael Jackson. Or even O.J. Simpson, R. Kelly, & Chris Brown.

I recently found out that Ezra Miller is an actor, my next quest is finding out his sins. I don’t know if I care enough though.

His Wikipedia page controversies is longer than most people's entire profiles lol. Crimes Begin. Crimes Continue

Well it's today's drama. Most of these feel like the aftershocks of very far away past events.

I think they'll take Jaafar's age into account when writing the story, OTW, Thriller and even Bad era Mike is perfect for him to portray, as he and his uncle were around the same age. But I doubt they'd try to make him look like his uncle age 45 when the trial was happening for instance

Don't be surprised if they shift the timeline of events, for example they might want the biopic to centre around a big performance, like the Superbowl, so the allegations get moved up.

As much as this is a biopic about Michael, it's not here to please just his fans, it's geared to the masses who don't know his story.

It's officially sanctioned by the estate & the Jackson family, and it's going to be co-produced by Graham King (AKA the producer of Bohemian Rhapsody who secured the rights to make an MJ biopic several months ago) and it's gonna be distributed by Lionsgate.

Also, Graham King is a fan who mentions that he's done his own research about the allegations and believes that he was innocent. So we've got that going for us, which is nice.

Personally, I don't think that a single 2-hour movie is enough to do justice to Michael's career, and I'd rather see the Estate focus on a project that helps vindicate MJ's innocence (e.g. Taj's upcoming Kickstarter documentary series). However, if this movie is done well and is able to improve the general public's perception of Michael in a more positive way, than it's a win-win situation.

What are your thoughts, everyone?
Whatever, a biopic is still useless for a larger than life MJ.

here are the news:
will.i.am as Q
Will Smith as Joe
Chris Rock as Eddie Murphy
Hopefully not or the film will flop with all those unnecessary expenses. Get some talented unknown actors, give talent a chance, don’t burn your money.

I did not know which thread to post this in.
John Branca had a meeting with DJ KHALED this morning....😅

Oh for the love of God, I bet they're gonna do the same as they do on the documentaries and put a segment on the movie where they show current popstars say how much MJ inspired them. We don't need more of that. I hope more that the meeting was related to music and not to the movie.

So you think just because this guy posted this in the movie thread that this is related to the movie?

He produced some of Rihannas biggest hits. You just don't know him by name
oh, OK. I only know What Now by Rihanna so if he didn't do that one, I still don't know him.

EDIT - just checked. He did other stuff but not that one.

P.S. Not saying he must be useless just bc I don't know his work. He could be a genius for all I know. Just saying, his name means nothing to me. I guess he has something if Rihanna has worked with him.
