As we already know there is some ish that has been posted around the internet about Michael supposedly pulling out of the American Idol show, which is reported by The Sun. I will tell you now and only one time we will NOT post that ish here because we should all know Michael isn't scared to preform and we all know that it's Tabloid ISH, so do NOT post it here. This thread is only for reliable news and nothing else! Thanks.

“But another reason I do things like that - other than promote an album - are the opportunities to step outside the box. I love that. Like when I did the Gene Kelly tribute on ‘Movie Rocks’ (YouTube video below). It’s a reminder of what a classic performance is. And that I am a product, and student of things like that. Things like Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal’ [performance]. They serve greater purposes than record promotion. They live forever. It’s not just about a moment.”

love living in Orland Park because, as the "World's Golf Center," it affords me the opportunity to go to numerous, beautifully groomed courses and slowly destroy them with every divot-dislodging swing I take…and I take plenty of swings! I am bad. Not in the Michael Jackson, wearing tight leather black pants and dancing all about…not that kind of bad, although I must admit, my "Thriller" dance and moon walking have become the stuff of legend on the wedding reception circuit, but I digress.

Yeah, the way I take it is that he's an artist that I grew up listening to with N'Sync, and that's the level that I want to be at. Being compared to him instead of just some one hit wonder is an honor, and he's someone that's compared to Michael Jackson, so to me, that's a huge compliment.

His is a timeless legacy, recalled in film classics such as West Side Story - for which he shared the best director Oscar in 1961 with Robert Wise when his 1957 Tony-winning Broadway creation was transferred to film (and which years later, would inspire Michael Jackson's Beat It video) - and in an enormous canon of 66 ballet works, many of which were among the first to tell stories of Americana, instead of the usual Russian fairytales.

The Simpsons Season 3 DVD offers a number of hilarious episodes including the season premiere in which Homer's co-workers have him committed after they mistake him for a mental patient. While in the New Bedlam Home for the Emotionally Interesting, Homer meets a tall, stocky white man who claims to be Michael Jackson. The Simpsons befriend the man who eventually admits to being bricklayer Leon Kompowsky... Other notable episodes include "When Flanders Failed" in which Ned Flanders opens a store at the local mall called the "Leftorium" (catering only to left-handed customers) and "Lisa's Pony" in which Lisa's overwhelming desire to have her own Pony nearly drives Homer to an early death as he works 24-hours-a-day to afford the expensive pet…

Manu Dibango, internationally renowned for the classic 'Soul Makossa', was headlining; dubbed the first-ever disco record, Soul Makossa has had an enduring influence on popular music since its release in the 1970s, not least Michael Jackson's 'Wanna be Starting Something'.

What is not immediately obvious as you stroll into the open-plan, 17th-floor offices of Tommy Hilfiger, brightly lit by windows that stare down New York’s Hudson River, is whether you are entering the home of a fashion house or a music label. Sure there are racks of pick ‘n’ mix clothes rolled across the aisles and a fashion shot or two on the desks, but the walls are adorned by guitars, photographs of rock and rap stars, and album covers. In one frame sits the Tommy Hilfiger sweater worn by Michael Jackson in a Vogue feature. In another, the designer himself posing with Mick Jagger. In a third, a broody black-and-white still of Tommy and his three brothers ~ Andy, Bobby and Billy (who died of a brain tumour in 2001) ~ looking every inch the rock band.

While their showmanship was weary, their vocals were surprisingly tender on a cover of Cat Stevens’s Father & Son.
