Majority owners of Neverland are going to sell it!

Colney were not good people for Michael to become involved with, but he did. They could have a Graceland but more controlled. Specific, advanced ticked holders only who are brought in by coach from a pick up point.

At Princess Diana's family Althrop estate where she is burried they had certain days of the year where a controllable number of tickets were available. Also with the land stretching so far there might be an option to make another entrance.

Michael's estate will be worth a lot of money so there may be the option if it goes on sale, and remember his estate owns part of it, for them to purchase it, maybe with help from AEG who seem to have more respect for Michael.

We have to wait and see.

it should be kept with the Jackson Family for the kids

screw the arvizo family, if it weren't for them. nothing would have happened. screw tom sneddon, why hasnt he bed riddened?

^yeah :( they're all made Michael's life shorter!

i'm so sad now...thinking that Michael is going to get buried soon and that he can't stay at the place he wants to be.
I miss him so much:cry:

Michael himself said Neverland was him. So whats this thread about now? Are they REALLY going to sell it or just people who wanna buy it but haven't yet?

The conspiracy reached its goal!

They killed Michael, and ranch will be destroyed..., and turned into a grape-vine...

They wanted Michael to be forgotten and defeated and Elvis and his Graceland artificially glorified!

These reports are not new...., they were fulfilled!

Michael doesnt want any "home museums"... It has nothing to do with his art... That was his life on the Earth but now it's gone. And the art will live forever.

Neverland is too far out of the way for a museum style place. Running a place that size would cost Millions per year, as it did Michael in it's hay day. The local town didn't like all the hoopla when he was alive, let alone thousands of people descending upon it

These people are NOTHING but a bunch of opportunist scumbags.

It's a shame Michael ever got involved with this bunch of crap.

Some on this board were applauding the shuttering and selling Neverland.

I told you it was a mistake. Now, unfortunately, we have no place to go to remember Michael.

To think someone will own Neverland -- other than MJ or his estate is just unbelievable.

So true. But I doubt anyone here will see the bigger picture.

Heck, the last post I made about digging up the articles from December until now -- foreshadowing his death was deleted.

Why not shine the light on the conspiracy?

It's so obvious -- it's a crime NOT to shine the light.

If Colony Capital hadn't of helped Michael refinance his loans against Neverland, Neverland would've been gone a long time ago.

Wtf has the jackson family lost neverland??????????? No!!!!!!!!!!!!

So much of the pain MJ lived through these last 10 years was connected to Neverland and Santa Barbara. It is true what Donald Trump said to Larry King. That town played a HUGE role in Michael´s problems.
He said he would never return. Wouldnt it be wrong to forcefully put him back against his own wishes?
Besides L.A. was always his hometown. Neverland was more of a vacation home. The forest lawn sounds like a good place to rest. It is beautiful, safe and he will be in the company of many of his old friends and idols, like Sammy Davis and one of the Gibb brothers.

I know its painful to think of Neverland as just being "gone", But you got to remember that that was something Michael himself agreed with.

Then why was it said according to both Matt Laurer and Larry King that all of Michael furniture is being moved back into Neverland?

And all of this is being done for a reason. Things are happening behind the scenes that we don't even know about. The petitions have been filed with the Santa Barbara County. The lawyers on on it. And Michael will end up right there at Neverland near his given tree. Mark my words, folks.

Like Jermaine said, the people who make the laws can change the laws. And they will.

.... Sorry, but Colony did nothing for Mike in the end. And it shows...cause he's GONE!

If anyone has the expertise and the determination to turn Neverland into a shrine/museum/celebration for Michael, it is Barrack with Colony Capital. I truly believe this man will make it happen. He understands what is at stake here. People are forgetting that Michael owns his ranch as well. Therefore, his estate owns the portion of that ranch that he owned. Let's just wait and see what will happen. I think it is very telling that the body will not be bured at Forest Lawn.

I really hope you are right and I have a feeling you are. I know that Neverland was where Michael had some heartache - BUT he had much joy there and he still held onto it right 'til the end and I think there was a reason for that.

He held onto it because he loved it. Of course he was hurt by what happened to him there, but that doesn't mean he didn't still have a love for his own creation. When I think about the legend that is Michael Jackson, I can't see him simply being buried in some cemetary somewheres where his fans can't visit him and celebrate him they way he lived. I just can't see it. Michael needs to be placed in a SPECIAL place.

Wow, there's no heart from this Colony guy in this entire article/interview at all.
Nothing about the memory of MJ, what Neverland meant, anything. It's just about the money...

That's how it seems. But then again, I have a hard time believing half of what I read anymore. I will believe this when I see it. The same applies to hearing it possibly becoming Michael's version of a Graceland too.

I really hope he can be laid to rest at Neverland. I think he deserves his own Graceland.

I agree, but does Neverland need to be in the current location? The current location is isolated and in a county that mistreated him.

Perhaps some buildings, the fence, gates, etc. could be duplicated at a more accessible location that doesn't have the stigma associated with the current location that caused him to abandon it.

Michael's fans deserve a place they can visit like the place Elvis's fans can visit. Both had a similar ability to connect with their fans that most other celebrities lack.

I don't know if these argument will cause California leaders to support a Michael Jackson "Graceland", but an economic argument might.

Neverland could attract tourists from around the world to a state with major budget problems. If the private sector won't go along with such a memorial museum, the state could step in and purchase the current Neverland or an alternate Neverland by issuing bonds which I suspect Michael's fans would be willing to purchase. Those who purchased bonds would eventually get their money back with interest and they might be able to use the interest they received to pay for a visit to Neverland.

Admission fees, memorabilia sales at the site, etc. would pay off the bonds. The facility could include stages using video equipment that would allow fans to in effect dance with Michael in some of his videos.

Alternatively the state could purchase the land for a new Neverland using bonds and then allow a private company to lease the land and construct buildings, etc.

Having state ownership would allow his body to be buried at the site and allow the facility to avoid property taxes. Revenue raised at the site along with the money spent elsewhere by tourists would more than offset any loss of property tax revenue.
