Let's talk about this amazing movie! (SPOILERS!)

Re: Things I Noticed (some spoilers)

I thought the ending of Earth Song was live. He was just singing the What About Us version instead of the album version. It sounded 100% live to me. I would be thinking "is he miming that?" and then he would leave out a line because he doesn't want to stretch himself too far and I would think "holy shit, his voice is in good condition."

Re: Things I Noticed (some spoilers)

If they have 100's of hours of tape, why did we then got to see tapes fromappr. 3 or 4 rehearsal? I mean you can see from his dresses they were pretty much from 3 or 4 rehearsals. Where is all the other stuff they have?

This should be mandatory to see in the theater.
Everyone was singing, dancing, applauding after every song, shouting "I LOVE YOU MORE" to the screen and crying.
The whole atmosphere was loving and fun, just like Michael would have wanted.

I saw little kids trying to moonwalk in the lobby after.

My favorite part of the experience was during TDCAU, when MJ starts doing those fierce shoulder movements and gets an intense "rawr" sort of look on his face, some girl screamed "OH MY GOOOOD, MICHAEEEELL!!!!" like she was having an orgasm. HILARIOUS.

Also, I never thought I'd witness two elderly women who knew all the words to "Jam".

I love Michael so much for continuing to bring everyone together.

There are a million other things I want to say about the film, but this post would go on forever!
 That's awesome, yet funny. I've went twice and the crowd wasn't as great as that.

Re: Things I Noticed (some spoilers)

well if they put all of the stuff in the movie it would be on for 1 week making it the longest movie of all time lol They can only put some things in u know they cant exactly put all 100 hours in. Plus theyll probs make a live album of the songs we didnt c. Then theyll make another movie of rehearsals. then theyll probs bring a couple more live albums out.

I went to see it last night with my husband and it was amazing. The whole movie theatre here in Stockholm was jam packed and almost everyone was wearing something to do with Michael, the gloves, the shining socks, Michael jackets, T shirts, I saw one guy wearing the Beat It jacket that was so cool. There was even an old granpa wearing Michael T shirt sitting at the front, so sweet.

Waiting outside the movie hall, there was a band and a choir playing Michael songs, and the atmosphere was just on the top. Before the movie started, there was a group of young girls, from ages 12-14 doing a dance performance, in honour to Michael, and they were really good. Got standing ovations from the audience.

Then the movie...the first look at Michael, tears came rolling. I loved every second of it, seeing Michael so alive made me think, he was never gone. He'll never be gone...

It was beautiful, hearing the amazing voice, seeing the stunning steps, directing to the perfect tone and timing everything to the greatest show on earth.

i loved it, and I know there will be more of it.

Love the bonus at the end to all the fans who stayed behind to watch the credits.

He is all about Love, L.O.V.E

Thank you Michael...I love you so much.

The "Earth Song" girl was beautiful !
But I got a question ? What Did Michael mean with " We need to save the world , we only got 4 years to go? " That shocked me a little bit.

That scared me because some people believe the world is going to end in 2012, four years! I hope Michael was not sending us a message. I've been thinking about that alot since I saw the movie actually

Oohhh I LOVED IT! I went all by myself, cuz my friends don't like Mike. Even on my own, I had a great time! I just loved the The Don't Really Cared About Us, with the 10000000 soldiers:wub:

Did anyone get a newfound appreciation for pole dancing? The parts they showed with Daniella Rueda-Watts was impressive. It wasn't the typical pole dancing. More like an athletic art? I remember when it was first mentioned that Michael recruited a world class pole dancer for the shows, some folks were freaking out thinking it was going to add a "sleazy" vibe to things..or wondering if he had lost his mind. lol Well, I can totally see how Michael took notice of her gift. Some of the things she was doing on that pole was just...wow. Not sleazy at all. More Cirque du Soleil style? There was one part where she was literally hanging out from the pole (by one arm) like she was a flag. A guy sitting in front of me was like "Dayum!". Ppl in the theater were cracking up. lol

I've seen that kind of dancing before but I can't remember what it's called. They do it with "curtains" or fabric hanging from the ceiling instead of a pole. LOL it's tough to explain.

Re: Things I Noticed (some spoilers)

What surprised me is that he sang so high... his voice sounded like during the thriller era. Even though I prefer his more mature voice I was blown away... def amazing...

JAM - wow! The band is amazing. I LOVE this version.

BTW I'd love for an album of the TII live band playing to come out. They're unbelievable.

So much live singing. I think 90 % of the movie was live and they just filled some parts that were missing.

Earth song was the most touching performance.

We are enjoying his performance but do you all realised that it's just so easy to forget that the set was Staple Center? He danced and sang there, his memorial service was also held over there. It was the same place where the casket was brought in. So heartbreaking, the place is full of mixed emotions, sorrow and confusions.

no, it never dawned on me till now.
he felt alive. is still alive, will always be alive to me.

Hope we will see more in future and DVD!

otherwise...move is amazing! And the SMooth Criminal part ..i mean...how great that was? that movie!

i feel really sad today :(...i want him back!

Re: Do yall like the ending?

As the credits came up my friend goes "Shit, I completely forgot he was dead". I felt jelous cos' I wanted to experience that feeling again, lol. (Of him being here) but unfortunately I couldn't. And suffice to say I felt the movie wasn't enough. I have this massive 'emptiness' inside of me still.

Jeez, I think I need to go shopping or something.. Retail therapy.

I hope there's more on the dvd!

LOL you sound so much like me... retail therapy haha

Yeah I really hope there is so much more footage on DVD cause they got 100 hours worth of it! I can't complain about the movie... I was really happy with it and Michael felt so alive in it!

I watched it today. The show was incredible, almost overwhelming in a way, it was beautiful.. or it would have been beautiful if only we had reached that finish line. I know a lot of people were really excited after seeing the move, but it's made me so upset.

His vocals were PERFECT. Earth song, IJCSLY, billie jean... so wonderful. His dancing in Billie Jean.. ahhhhhhh slow mo crotch grab lol

What was your favourite line in the movie? (spoiler Warning)

Mine was probably "I was just getting a feel of it" and "that's what rehearsals are for".

What about you?

And also "can you hold on please, Michael" gotta love Kenny!

Re: What was your favourite line in the movie?

"weeeeeeeeeeeeeee"

:D

I also liked it when Kenny Ortega was directing Michael on the cherry picker and had to say "Michael can you please hold on. Thank you." He was like an excited school kid! :D

Re: What was your favourite line in the movie? (spoiler Warning)

Fave line was whatever he said during Smooth Criminal when he just stood there after the film bit ended  The whole room laughed at that :D

I left during the credits and missed the extra scene but i am going again so i don't mind.

Re: What was your favourite line in the movie? (spoiler Warning)

the "wheeeee" indeed. The whole Beat It part was funny. I also liked "ohh you shouldn't have told me that!" or something like that. When Kenny told Michael that thing could go higher. Ohh that made me laugh and i could almost feel people thinking why did she laugh..LOL

I questioned this too, a large percentage of the film seemed to come from two days of rehearsal.

4 years would take us to 2013 though. :S lol I think he meant with taking This is It around the world.

My favourite part of the film is still (even though we had heard it before in trailers) when he sings 'Breaking my heart nah' in Billie Jean.

That just kills me, I could listen to that over and over again.

Re: What was your favourite line in the movie? (spoiler Warning)

Most of the lines is what I recall. They may not be exactly as I wrote them.

-"If you want more booty, I'll give it more booty. (laughs)" (The musical director after MJ told him to make the music funkier while playing the keyboard)

-It was something close to the end when Michael said something like: "People want to escape. Let us take them to places they've never been before."

-Michael's last lines in the final shot (after the credits) while rehearsing Human Nature: "The music stops and I'll fix my shirt, my belt, my jacket, check out the crowd and bang the music continues (at his signal)".

-And the most awesome line IMO from Michael: "I'll throw the jacket to the floor and it burns. Turn down the lights and let it burn (with attitude). . . ."

That's 2012, which has to do with the Mayan calendar ending. I'm not sure, but Nostradamus might have said something about 2012 also. The calendar ending doesn't mean the end of the world per se, but a sort of "renewal". Some people say it's the return of Nibiru or "Planet X", which has a 3600 year (earth years) rotation around the sun. Nibiru is a large planet, so if it comes into earth's orbit, it would cause all sorts of problems and would be the end as we know it. It has been said that Nibiru coming into earth's orbit is the cause of the dinosaurs disappearing and the "Noah's flood" in the bible amongst other things. But Michael is probably talking about the Mayan calendar or humans trashing the earth, because if it's Nibiru, there would be no prevention methods for that.

Re: Things I Noticed (some spoilers)

The cinematic Earth Song video piece was absolutely gorgeous. The score "cinematic version" of Earth Song was remarkable. That isn't the London Symphony's version is it, or is it all new?

Re: Things I Noticed (some spoilers)

Also, Mind Is The Magic during drill was really cool & appropriate. I never thought of Mind Is The Magic as a military-type song, but it totally is.

Also, how cool was Threatened and his dance moves on that platform?

2012 is 3 years.

Im pretty sure he meant that we only had 4 years to help save the world with a tour........
