(Just wanted to repost the 44+ minute vindication video that I created in 2005, for those wishing to journey back to the days surrounding the verdict.)
Michael needs to do something if he ever wants to come back with a "bang". You cannot just expect him to release a new album and all of a sudden things will be all better again. An interview could clear alot of issues up, not necessarily with Oprah but its better then brushing everything under the rug. And you never know about the Jackson themed entertainment venue similar to the Beatles one...remember just last week Latoya and some Jackson brothers mentioned something was going to be announced relating to the Jackson family in Vegas.. who knows maybe they are working on something? But I do know that Michael DOES need to make some serious changes IF he decides he wants to return to music. Thats the reality of the situation, I cant see how anybody could argue that, even the most obsessed fan.

Here is something to add some juice to the discussion and perhaps a link (???) to the sooner than they think comment Michael made. :wild:

Christian Audigier Opens Nightclub In Las Vegas
He’s made his marks in fashion with Ed Hardy, Smet, Crystal Rock and now L.A. based designer Christian Audigier is moving into the nightlife world. “Christian Audigier The Nightclub” is set to open in Las Vegas in an attempt to bring fashionable nightlife in sin city.
Audigier has partnered up with the Pure Management Group, the same guys who have brought you celeb destinations LAX and PURE in Vegas.
We hear the grand opening will be pretty spectacular with a performance by the “King Of Pop” Michael Jackson. After all this is a guy who celebrated his 50th Birthday party with MJ, Britney Spears, Pamela Anderson and Fergie.
In regards to his club Audigier says, “Quite simply, it feels amazing. I feel like I can do anything and this is just another facet of who I am. I have so much to offer this world from what you wear to how you relax, party and enjoy life. This will be an extension of how I do it and everyone will be able to do it with me. Let’s party!”
Let’s start popping the champagne! The club is set to open in July 2008 at Treasure Island Hotel and Casino.
ur right, it adds juice, but they quote Augdier, but no quotes from him about MJ performing. the article writer, as usual, says 'we hear'. and even if the designer would have been quoted about a performance..i would think that reporters and people who invite MJ to parties and get him there would remember by now, that they should not speak for MJ on those things. he complained, once about having too many spokespeople. so as far as i am concerned..what MJ said on the phone about the album is the most recent news, to me.
kelly not guilty for those who are intrested
The option to buy the catalogue is a rotation option which is built into the contract. it gives both parties, ie, Michael and Sony the option to buy out the other, if the other wishes to sell, but that option alternates every 6 months.
At the time when RF was screaming that MJ would lose the catalogue in May, what he was referring to was sony's option to buy that would have ended in May. He didn't mention that MJ would then have his turn to buy Sony if sony wishes to sell.
The option is merely academic and not to be taken seriously, as neither can buy the other out if that other doesn't wish to sell, and I do not believe that either Michael or Sony will be selling just yet.
that was the case TMKI've just never heard it before. Also, an option to buy normally means that the other party can't refuse to sell if you want to buy
Are you sure about that? I'm not saying it's wrong, I've just never heard it before. Also, an option to buy normally means that the other party can't refuse to sell if you want to buy. It's possible of course that the option only means that the other party can't sell to somebody else, but it seems a bit unusual. What would the point of the option be if you can't excersise it unless the other party agreees? Do you have that part of the agreement available?
The media will nolt speak the truth about MJ's relationship with the company. When ever something bad happens it is all MJ's fault, like Beatles songs and advertising. When ever there s good news, it is Sony.
The fact of the matter is that MJ OWNS the company equally with Sony.
The contract was drawn up so that both sides share equal rights.
Now the media will tell you that MJ borrowed $300 mil loan using his catalogue as colateral. What they refused to tell you is that Sony ALSO borrowed the same amount of money using the assets of Sony/atv as collateral. This lead me to believe that both side were using the assets to get maximum loans for business transactionj for the company. Otherwise, what a coincidence.
Yes, RF constantluy reminded the entire world that Sony may buy MJ's share of his catalogue and sony had up to 6 month to buy it. What RF refused to add was that it was a contractual arrangement giving both sides equal opportunities to buy the others share if the other desires to sell. This opperates on a rotation bases, so I imaging that since the April deadline has passed, it is now MJ's turn to buy out Sony, if Sony wished to sell.
Also, what the media forget to tell the public is that both sides of the partnership have guaranteed a price of $1,3 billion for 1/2 of the othes share, so If Sony did buy out MJ's share, he is guaranteed to walk away with approximately $2-3 billion dollars guaranteed. Signed and sealed.
came by just to check if anything new..
Any album release dates :timer: or anything??
lol! Man this wait gets tough.. I keep coming back hoping that TODAY will be something.. ha ha!! we are so thirsty we flip out at any little thing..
"Akon said he was in the studio with Mike this week?" "Neyo said MJ asked him to write."... "Michael said he was in the studio today."
Man we are rapped around Mikes little finger.. ha ha!

I actually liked the article. But nevertheless, I'm skeptical. Why would Colony's folks be talking about their plans to the media regarding Michael. It doesn't make sense. I don't believe they'd be that stupid. But on the flip side, if they really are in on this effort to restore his public image via comeback and somebody started running their mouth, they might have just ruined it. As much as Michael has wanted to keep everything close to his chest regarding the comeback plans, (ex: Ne-Yo), even if they're trying to force him to finally buckle down and make his next move distraction-free, they should have kept the plan to themselves IMO.
