The Encino home and the Cababases home are not in the same city. The homes in Calabases were built about 12 yrs ago. It's a newer community and is close to Malabu which is near Zuma beach. I would estimate to rent/lease a piece of property there in a gated community is not less than $5K or 6K a month. It could be more dependeing on the square footage of the home and it's amminities.

UPDATE: TMZ has reported the house is being rented for $26K. The home has seven bedrooms. I don't think the home is worth $26K a month
for a Calabases home. It isn't as exclusive as Holmbly Hills or Beverly Hills buut the estate is covering the cost for the remodling of Encino and for MJ3 and Katherine to lease out this pad while she fumagate/remodle the Encino home. lol
The Encino home is not located in a gated community.

With so many people losing their home in this day and space, renting/leasing anything to live in is a whole lot less with our economy in a recession.

Thanks dear, I knew about Katherines temporary house, but I was talking about what the average rent could be for houses there, I especially had Jermaines house in mind since he cant afford pay childsupport but he can afford rent a house in a gated community?

I find it odd though that Jermaine can pay all of that rent yet he only wants to pay $214.00 per month to his sons with Alejandra. That is nuts! Now we all know why Katherine needs more of MJ's money. She is supporting Jermaine's youngest sons. Alejandra doesn't work anywhere so who else but Katherine is supporting those kids?

I "wonder" if A&E put Jermaine in that home as part of his deal with them. I notice that "some" reality stars are put up in NEW homes only to have those same homes snatched from them once the show is over, or if the show does not do well.

Poor Jermaine was "probably" hoping that his Vegas show went well, then "maybe" they would have signed him to some sort of ongoing deal. I'm guessing that won't be happening now, since that show didn't go according to plan.

Exactly.. he probably thought he could do a residency at some Las Vegas hotel for a year or two but that ain't happening now because no one is interested in seeing Jermaine perform. His best bet is to ask his baby sis if he can tour with her if her 'world tour' ever gets off the ground. So far she's going to Japan, that could make him a few bucks

It is unclear if Jermaine even knows the owner is about to lose the house. Under California law, he has 60 days from the time of foreclosure to vacate.

Jermaine -- who has lived in the house for a year-and-a-half -- filed a police report in September, claiming someone stole $150,000 in jewelry, furs and clothes from a suitcase in the house.

Well IF he didn't know before, he "probably" knows now.

IF the "year-and-a-half" is true, then it does appear as this rental could have been a part of his deal with A&E.

i dnt understand y he doesnt want to pay child support. its not like he is paying for hayvenhurst then having to give more money on top of tht. this situation is a mess. n if alejandra is so broke, how can her and her daughter afford to go to japan. thts not a cheap trip. n if what margaret said in her book is tru then alejandra is stupid. she seen the stuff margaret was goin through with jermaine. n margaret said tht she used to confide in her also so im sure she told her how she was tring to help hazel recieve some child support. so y would you have 2 kids by him. n then after all of these yrs you still dnt have a job. with all the connections tht the jackson have/had you mean to tell me you couldnt have gotten work. she a beautiful woman so she could have modeled or something.

alot of stars are put in homes just for filming purposes. i dnt think you would want someone knowing what your house looks like esp. with the crazy people out there. many of them move after filming is over with. i think jermaine could have had a successful career if he wasnt so stuck in his j5/jacksons days. all he had to do was play smaller venues n he could have still toured n made more music

yea if youre lazy like i am you may not. also some people keep valuables like tht in places like suitcases. but i dunno

edited to add: from what tmz said it didnt seem like it was unpacked luggage. it seems like they had it in a lv bag and someone stole it.

He AND his brothers wasted so many years waiting for Michael to join them, when they could have carved out decent careers for themselves WITHOUT Michael. Sure it wouldn't have been as grand and lavish, but so what, it would have been respectable just the same and by now they "could" have built up a decent following for themselves.

The theif only took one bag. Didn't ransake the place. Just walked in the unlocked door and took one bag. Why didn't the theif take ALL of the luggage? I mean, how on earth could the theif know that that one bag held ALL of the goods? Makes no sense to me.

i know they do put people in homes to make their lives seem more lavish than they are. not no name reality stars of today. im talking about celeberities who have a name before a reality show. some of them get houses for filimg purposes.

n they could have came into more stuff than just doing small shows. there isnt any telling of what they could own by now. im really starting to believe the rumor tht they may not trust each other 2 much, cause there is no way that they couldnt have come together and made somethings happen by now. Now that we have seen a picture of Jermaine's crib AND all of the doors, i.e. "all of the points of entry," I would have to say that the story is either made up OR that is one lucky theif. LOL!

The theif was able to enter the EXACT door where the luggage was stored.

Jermaine Jackson could become homeless early next year, because the house he's living in is going up on the foreclosure auction block.

TMZ has learned the 5 bedroom, 6 bathroom Calabasas home Jermaine is renting is on the brink of foreclosure ... set to be sold on the steps of the Pomona, CA courthouse on January 21.
The minimum bid, according to Foreclosures.com, is $2,184,233.

It is unclear if Jermaine even knows the owner is about to lose the house. Under California law, he has 60 days from the time of foreclosure to vacate.

Jermaine -- who has lived in the house for a year-and-a-half -- filed a police report in September, claiming someone stole $150,000 in jewelry, furs and clothes from a suitcase in the house.

And there's more ... Jermaine is behind on child support to the tune of nearly $100,000, and he's asking a judge to reduce his support payments from $3,000 a month to $215 a month.

True, that has happened a lot.. for instance Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and that d-list chic Audrina from the Hills left a door unlocked so they got burglarized.. cant recall if orlando bloom and Megan Fox also left their doors unlocked when they got burglarized too.. but the difference is that their houses were trashed and loads of items were stolen, not just one random bag.

however that doesnt mean this is a lie/insurance fraud.. maybe the thieves saw the bag first and saw what it contained and took it and left..

I believe a gated community is a place where the security is "supposed" to be HIGHER and that you would most likely have to pass through some sort of "check-point" before you are allowed to enter the property.

If you are a guest of a person living in such a community, you "might" even have to be on some sort of guest list, if the home owner knows you are coming in advance.

I'm not sure, but I also believe that you can't just drive up and enter. You most likely have to be "announced," before entry is allowed.

I would also think that a gated community would have LOADS of survellance equipment and a 24/7 security detail that just rides around the property, making sure everything is in order.

Now if all of that is true, it should be easy for the authorities to pin down who the alleged theif is, unless the person who stole the items LIVES in the gated community themselves.

Sounds like a paradise for celebrities Yeah I would assume there is a lot of security and camera surveillance so it shouldn't be too hard to catch the thief. And I can't imagine that someone from inside the community did it, I mean these people are probably rich already otherwise you wouldn't live there, and if they were to rob somebody in the community I'm sure there are more interesting targets than Jermaine lol.
