I know right? I am sure there are other reasons...She was still on stage before, during & after the autopsy was making the rounds.

I am suspicious... bt for now, she is getting the benefit of the doubt.


Somethings just don't add up... The trial date was set in May, and we already knew it was a 4/5 weeks trial. These shows went on sale in AUGUST....

Can someone in Australia ..lt us know what has happened in the media, or with the shows she did perform last week? I know this is a 2000-seat theatre, but were all the dates sold out?

Anyway, I guess it doesn't really matter now why she has done a 180...SMDH
 
Sales had nothing to do with it, all 3 dates were virtually sold out, with a few being released again as per usual leading up to the days of the show, and the media reception was very positive, reviews have been posted in the tour thread, why is it so hard to believe she changed her mind and wants to see justice for MJ....

It's hard to believe because for the past two years since his death, she didn't seem to care and she was working non-stop. She went to work the next day after the memorial and the funeral so that's why I am shocked that she suddenly has this change of heart. I agree with Memefan and I feel it's because of something else. She didn't care about 'justice' before but all of a sudden 2 years later she think it's important to be with her family? Something is off..
 
Working to deal with grief or whatever her reasons were is completely different 'not caring' and missing the case of the murderer of her brother she's said previously she holds him responsible and wants to see him put to justice, so where you get this is a change of heart I don't know, she was there in court everyday until she had to leave to do the shows. As was said in the statement when the dates were set the schedule of the trial was different and she wants to be there, obviously this is important to her, she's left a big gap in her tour for it, if she 'didn't care' she would have just continued touring without the gap.

I'm sick of fans spouting this crap as if they had an inside leak into her feelings or something! Jesus. Everybody deals with grief differently, Janet dealt with it by continuing to work and distract herself. Is that really so bad? Not everybody drops - or CAN drop - their entire life to sit at home and cry every day. I'm sure she did at that times, but life goes on. Yes, even for Michael Jackson's family. You can't expect them to spend their life in mourning. Janet had other commitments as well that needed to be completed.

As far as ticket sales go, Melbourne dates sold out within the DAY of being on sale. And they didn't go on sale until about April or May this year, so none of this "August" crap. We didn't even know that she was coming to Melbourne as well as Sydney until earlier this year.

Well what I'm saying is that for 2 years she was working, making appearances, touring, making movies etc., so why suddenly does she feel compelled to come back to California to the trial? In the very beginning Janet went to work right after the memorial and the funeral, so why is being with her family so important now?
 
^ There are obviously reasons that we do not know about, and it's unfair to judge her based on only a handful of things that have been said by her team over the past few days. I'm sure there are valid reasons, and I am not angry at her in any way.

I'm angry at her tour promoters and the people putting her shows on here in Melbourne. It was NOT a good idea to combine three shows into one. That was a crappy, quick decision that a lot of Melbourne fans are very angry about.

Because this in some form is "the end" in some respects to having "justice". 2 years ago there was a big trial on the horizon and I don't blame her for a second on continuing to work through a lot of the crap before the trial began. Now this whole sorry story is about to come to an end and you blame her for wanting to be there at the end for her brother?

The Jackson family just can't do right in anyone's eyes :no:
 
If Janet has stopped working since June 2009, she would be called a lazy parasite who wanted to take advantage of her brother's untimely passing. So, Janet never stops and continues to act and tour, she's now being criticized for not caring about her brother???

If Janet continues to tour in Australia without rescheduling her dates. she would be judged by fans for not being there at the end of the trial. Now, Janet has rescheduled and is now in the courthouse, and fans speculate that she has other motives???

Oh my gosh... I'm not even a Janet Jackson fan. But, I'm so saddened to see the level of bitterness. What some of you are saying about Janet is not that much different than what the media said about Michael. Opinons based on nothing but biasness and speculations.
 
She did go the first week and I will give her credit for that. I am more annoyed with Tito, Marlon and Jackie. Where have they been? I think Tito went the first day and that is it. I expected them to go at times. I know it's hard but it's your brother. Rebbie has gone more than I thought she would. I don't know why they do what they do but I just want someone there for Michael every day.

Very True. I'm not a big Janet fan either however it just seems that when anyone of the Jackson's appear to not be working, they are all living off of Michael's money and fame...then when they are working thats a problem too???

To me, Janet comes off as a bit self centered but it is definitely nice to see her taking the time to support Michael and the family. I like to give credit where it's due.

Someone is there for Michael everyday. I don't think Marlon went to the 2005 trial so I'm not surprised he hasn't been here for this one. Don't know about Tito and Jackie.
 
Perhaps its just too upsetting for some the family members to be there, you know. And that's okay too, they shouldn't be judged for that.

If anyone here thinks I'm judging Janet for going to back for the trial, I'm absolutely NOT. I am 100 percent behind her decision. My anger is directed towards the tour promoters who have decided to group all three shows - one which I had a ticket to - into a big, arena event next week. It goes against what the tour was supposed to be about, and there are a LOT of angry fans who have even gone as far as to get refunds.

Well, Janet agreed to the restructure so you essentially are angry with her too, can't be mad at the promoters alone when this is her show.

Mmm, but she doesn't know Melbourne's arenas. The promoters would've suggested particular venues and I highly doubt she would've researched into the particulars of each one. They pretty much made the decision for her that was going to cost the least amount of money.
 
What is the issue the verdict is coming and she wants to be there. She was there when Michael was on trial for the verdict. I mean goodness I am not a big fan of hers but cut her some slack

This is what I find strange. The ones I thought would have good sense are .......... and the ones I thought were the shady ones are the ones showing up. I never know what to think with this family.
 
If you're not personally affected by this, I don't see how your opinion is valid. At least you didn't buy a ticket to an up close and personal show, have it canceled on you three days before, and then rescheduled with 4000 other people in a giant arena that's meant to seat close to 20,000. Again, I'm angry at the tour promoters.
 
So unless you are not affected by this you can't reply to this thread? Most people seem understanding but are just stating why they think Janet did what she did that's all. I understand it's about the promoters but you will still be able to see janet live and in person. Janet is still here.

Chile please! everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion and it is'nt for you to say if their opinion is valid or not. If Janet wanted to reschedule these shows as they initially were meant to be done she could've, scheduling may have played a big part in the decision, so again, you can't be angry at the promoters for this alone, I'm sure you don't think she's a puppet that is gonna go along with something she does'nt agree with. If they had cancelled those shows instead of resheduling them, then the complaint would've been about that and not the 'up close and personal' angle that's being complained about.

The irony here though is that even though she came back this week for the trial, she most likely may not even be in that court room for the verdict as she will have to fly out for the other remaining dates including the rescheduled ones.

Oh LOL. What I said is by far the LEAST offensive thing I have seen posted on this forum before. People constantly pretend that everybody's opinion except their own isn't valid. You're all just mad that I had the guts to say it out loud LOL.

NONE of you are personally affected by this. I have never seen Janet live before, I don't live in America. I am not privileged like you guys, a lot of big acts only come here once every 10 years or so. The last time Janet was here was in 1997 when I was just but 6 years old. I paid to see her up close and personal and I'll be damned if I don't get that. I'm not the only one who's upset about this, just go onto her facebook page and you'll see hundreds of fans in Melbourne who are begging her promoters to reconsider this. I don't care if she has to come back next year, I don't mind waiting as long as she needs time. I am very proud of her for going back for the trial, and she has my full support. The fact is that Janet is my idol, I look up to her very much. But squishing three concerts into one is NOT okay, it's unfair to do it to only ONE city. Very unfair. And that's why I'm mad.

I'm entitled to my feelings, and yes I do believe that your opinion is not valid - on this particular matter- because you do NOT know how it feels. Go cry me a river and go back to hating on the Jacksons like you normally do, LOL. 'Cause that seems to be your pet habit around here.

In short, girl PLEASE. Just no. LOL.
