James Ingram talks about MJ recording PYT

That was great. And James has always been one of my favorites irregardless of this repping for Michael. Thanks!

OMG !!!

got that out of my system... now - oh wait...

NOWWW... i think i can speak :p

that was hilarious! James Ingram rockssss!!!!! as does the host... is it Travis Smiley or w/e?

Well they're both black so I can see there's no racism and therefore they're giving Michael the due respect he deserves.
Most other TV hosts are pretty mean.

Anyyywayy...

the clip ROCKSSSS!!!
I knew Michael liked to dance and couldn't help by move to rhythm but I never knew he did this like actually dance  with PYT

lol and the way James described it was hilarious.

"Other singers be trying to hold there breath y'know- Michael...Michael don't CARE!"

and the last thing he says on the vid is so sweet and true  Mike is a genuis

Too cute! Bruce Swedien said the same thing...that MJ can't help but dance when he sings. That's why Bruce put a platform underneath MJ too so that he can record the stomps and beats MJ makes when he sings. That's why MJ is MJ...he's unique.

^
rlly...? i didn't know that either. bout bruce putting a platform underneath mike when he was recording... thaz amazingly cool and sweet

James was one of the performers at Michael's MSG shows. As I recall he did a duet with Gloria Estefan (sp?) but can't remember what the song was even though I must have watched my vcr tape of the show dozens of times. He's been involved in Michael's career for a very long time, that's for sure.

^bgz, the song they performed was "i just cant stop loving you"

The host of that show is great. He is always asking the artists that he interviews about their collaboration with MJ. He seems to be a big fan, judging from the manner in wich he talks about MJ.

Thanks, yes, now that comes back to me. I was just searching for it on YouTube without having to get the VCR tape out and running through it.
There are some things on YouTube r/t the MSG concert I had never seen before, like a fan recorded video of the post show when everyone was on stage singing WATW and Michael is shaking everyone's hands, etc. Kenny Rogers and James Ingram were standing together and singing.

(James Ingram and Gloria Estefan singing IJCSLY at MSG, Michael stands and sends them a kiss at end of song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Egso6N5_N-8 )

I'll try to find it again, there's like a gazillion MSG/Michael videos on You Tube, just have to remember what I typed in originally. And I went offline briefly so can't scroll back. Give me a few minutes-

In fact when you listen to the acapellas, you can hear MJ stomping on the platform.

Thank you sooooooo much Star Trader for the clip! Reminds me of what Quincy said about Michael being one of the most dilligent musicians cuz he keeps on dancin while recording:)

That was great. It's so Mike to keep dancing too. I remember reading somewhere that "Working Day and Night" could only have been written by a dancer, what with all the breaths and dance breaks. It's really true. Mike's a dancer-singer fully through .

Also, if you click on the side and watch the Akon, Ne-Yo, or will.i.am. interviews, Tavis asks them about MJ too. I actually ended up watching a bunch of interviews because I like the questions Tavis asks. Thanks for sharing!

i read somewhere that michael ran out of the studio and start crying when recording blame it on the boogie because he couldn't make himself stop dancing
