the family would have been doing this A&E reality show whether or not michael died, this reality show thing is not NEW. they have been doing reality shows like so many washed up stars before.
i do wish these reality shows would die down though...but they haven't, even after a decade of invading peoples (particularly children's) privacy.

no matter what we think of them, no matter if michael was the bigger star, the brothers were still apart of the jackson 5 and they have a right to do their own reality show.

Some of the Jackson family hate these threads is getting tiresome. If you hate them so much and your not willing to be open or objective about their actions, then save yourself some stress and don't come on Jackson family threads. It's ok to disagree with some of what the Jackson family members have done but some ppl here just hate and complain about EVERYTHING they do without being objective. No matter how small or insignificant the family members comments/interviews are, some members here still find a way to put a negative twist on it. It's sad.

Incidentally, I am looking foward to this show. I was looking foward to it b4 mj died. And I think it is the right thing to do for the show to acknowledge mjs death. He was part of the Jackson 5 and their lives. Their brothers death affected their lives And last I checked the show is about the brothers and not MJ...and it is part of THEIR lives that they are mourning..and if they want to share their grief with the world so what... If they didn't show it ppl would say that the Jackson family aren't mourning their brothers death at all..Looks like the Jackson family can't win no matter what they do..

The jacksons can use their original title again. they were only banned for 20 years. i love the Jacksons. I can't wait to see the show.

I will be watching. I'm getting sick of the family bashing, everyone on here is so quick to talk about his family in a bad manner. Just ask yourself. If Michael read what you were writing about his brothers who he loved, and the assumptions you were making about them how would he feel towards you? He said himself not to judge a person before you actually met and spoke to them. I hope the family bashing will stop soon. Its really sad.
 
I'm going to watch it too.. And I agree with many here, they were his FAMILY..he loved them, sure, he probably got mad at them sometimes and ditto..but that's family for you, Lord knows how many times I argue with my sisters, especially one, and I think to myself I dont wanna talk to her ever again, lol, but when all comes to all..I love her/them. And I wouldn't like it that other people bashed them, no matter how irritated/mad etc I could be on any of them...hope you guys understand what I mean... but it's family, it's his family, and he loved them.

I literally grew up watching the J5 so I m definitely looking forward to this and so are all of my friends because we were all starry-eyed when we first saw them on TV back in '69. I have a feeling the show may not last long because they are all so nice and that's not what reality TV fans are interested in, but I'll enjoy it while it lasts!
 
As I posted before it will feel like catching up with old friends. If it wasn't for them I never would have realised how great Michael is. Even though I'm 33 I always listened to older music growing up. I love Michael solo most of the time but I always think he's better with the brothers. Don't get me wrong I know it's partially because music recorded in 1970 sits much better with me then music recorded in 1990, but it also because every brother had great talent. I love the way they interacted, the harmonies the slick moves, they were simply a great group! I wish there was a way I could read a nice thread like this without any of the down with the Jacksons crap.

I wasn't that interested originally, but now I do plan to watch.

And on a purely shallow note, Jackie is the sexiest after Mike.

And THIS is why ILY! I'll be watching that ish I don't CARE WHAT ppl say about me! I like Tito, Jackie, and Marlon especially! (Did u peep his smile in that trailer!?? GGGGRRR!! HOT!) Destiny and Triumph are two of the greatest albums in HISTORY and Michael certainly didn't do those by himself.. y'all seem to forget that Michael was never JUST Michael Jackson.. for the first part of his musical career there were 5 other people on that stage. I know y'all saw the movie.. I know y'all saw him call each one of them by name during that J5 medley.

I have issues with them, yes, but have no doubt that this show will be entertaining at the least. I just don't want to see any of the MJ3 on there. Don't want to see them on this show AT ALL. I actually don't wanna see Jermaine either, but I'll just have to deal. :lol:

That pic is airbrushed to DEATH but they STILL couldn't manage to make Jermaine's hair look good. :lmao:

If they want to update the show to reflect on Michael's passing then hell LET THEM! thats their flesh and blood they are talking about. im sorry but i have to jump in on this.... the truth of the matter is they are asking for attention and to be judged since they are putting themselves out there for reality tv and the masses, you get what you ask for. I hate reality tv!! it pollutes your minds and ways of thinking, and it completely distracts people from real issues going on in our world, People need to wake up !

The great quote "only god can judge me" comes to mind..u can judge but ur wasting ur time because none of it matters...it's not for us to judge the families intentions...whether they r on tv or not
