"You may not vote on this poll". If I could, I should vote "yes". I love it as much as (if not more than) the others.
If my English is broken, thanks to correct.
@ Ioka I may not vote on mjfranceforum too. Impossible to sign up. I try since november.
of course, it is good. You cant rigidly compare it to Mj's previous albums cuz it has it own way. and I've recently been addicted to listening to it. ^_^
There aren't enough songs solely written and produced by Michael. I get the distinct impression that Michael was uninterested in the album and relied heavily on outsider writers/producers, more so than on his previous albums.
I don't really get what you mean by Dangeorus having "BOW". It has alot more songs that are much better.Yes, there are people think this way. But it's what THEY want, it ISN'T what MJ wanted! If he wanted stay on sound of 80s/90s he must made it on Invincible!
Of course, if there was a very good promotion for Invincible and reached the top with more musics, no one would say nothing about its quality!
Ppl say that Thriller has Billie Jean and Beat it... Bad has 5 songs on top! Dangerous has BOW... and what Invicible has? If there was a normal promotion, realizes of others songs Invicible would has more than You Rock My World!
NO. for many reasons, I'll just say the album was over the top in every single department. It's not a bad album, but I feel MJ didn't want to do this album, he was so drawn out throughout the entire piece... and I don't know... it just lacked the umph his previous albums did. I mean lets look at his previous work:
OTW had DSTYGE
Thriller had Billie Jean
Bad had MITM
Dangerous had B&W (or WYBT)
HIStory had TDCAU (or SIM)
... What does Invincible have that stands out so much it leaves you breathless every. single. time like the songs listed above? None, It is consisted of great melodies, but nothing truly astonishing.. I still like the album though.

- "You Rock My World," I believe.
(Unbreakable is awesome too.)
YRMW is around the same level as scream. Awesome songs, timeless classics.. but nothing that makes you go OMFGWOW! every time you hear it.
I disagree...Unbreakable, Threatened, 2000 Watts, what ever happens and lost children makes me go OMFGWOW...
All this talk about Invincible not being promoted well enough...I'd say the fact that it didn't sell as much as people would expect an MJ album to sell rather affects the general opinion on whether it was a good and successful album or not. It doesn't matter to me if they promoted it more or not, because I bought it and I've listened to it and...it's a good album with some really awesome songs but it just doesn't make me feel as ecstatic as his other albums
No, it's not.
Obviously it's nothing to do with promotion. We're not asking the man in the street who's probably called Barry. We're all MJ fans sho have heard the album a million times and recognise his others are better.
It's not a terrible album, there are just no songs that come anywhere the genius of Billie Jean, Smooth Criminal, Who Is It, Off The Wall, Earth Song etc.
It doesn't make you less of a fan to prefer an album over another!
promotion not only makes you know that a new album is out !
it helps you to notice how good it is...
That's why MJ made so great videos...
Some songs would no be appreciated here so much if they didn't have the videos we know...
Bad, Jam, Smooth Criminal were helped by their videos...
it we are in love with these titles it's also because we have the videos in Mind...
some other titles like Tabloid Junkie, I can't let her get away, she drives me wild, are underrated by fans because they don't have Videos...
It's as simple as that...
A great video may enhance a good song, it doesn't turn a mediocre song into a great one.
It's also worth noting that from the 7 singles from Thriller, only 3 had videos.
As a rule A MJ album never has more than 2 weakish songs, IMO. Invincible has. So it's not on par with the rest. But the good stuff is very good. I love this album
