I listened to the whole album all weekend at with the volume up and I did get the full effect of the album. It's a fantastic album, especially when turned up!

there is nothing wrong with such a lengthy album, as the tracks are actually good, the only cut imo should be Privacy, i cant find anything to like about that song lol

I know that it seems that 'You Are My Life' is unpopular with many fans and I have seen some here that actually like/love 'You Are My Life'. I am part of the latter group of fans who love that song. I love that song because it comes from the heart telling someone how much their love has changed a person's life for the better. I believe MJ was talking about how his children changed his life most likely. I feel the warmth and such unconditional love from that song. It is my 2nd favorite slow song on the album.

I'm also one of those that loves YAML.It's something only MJ could have wrote. It's one of my favourites from the album.

I had to vote no :) i think its awful apart from 3 or 4 Songs other than that i feel the album is repetitive sounding and gets boring after the 5th Song

OMG I love that song too !!!! I can't believe people don't like it !!!!

As for is invincible a good album it is AMAZING and deserves more praise, we all know if sony didn't F*@k up the promotion it would have been even more of a success than it already was !

and I can't believe 19 people voted no !!!

The first half of the album is AMAZING!!! From Unbreakable to Speechless. I don't really like the last half to be honest, Except Threatened (I like Threatened).

Yes! :D I love Invincible! It is one of my favorites. And I love You Rock My World too. :)

yes... it's just not as good as the previous albums...

Definitely yes! An amazing album! I love all tracks!

+1 !

I think the album was not a bestseller only because of the trials and the very poor promotion...
Definitly a pretty good album

Like with most fans, when I think of Invincible, I think 'Underrated, to a great extent'.

Invincible is in fact my favourite of Michael's album, it's fantastic! It really deserves more recogniton.

I don't get it when people say that Invincible is to long because it lasts for same length as Dangerous (77 minutes) and many fans say that Dangerous is MJ's best album ever

Under-rated? Yes
A fan favourite? Yes
Poorly promoted? Yes

But, a great album? It's mostly not for me, except a few tracks (Unbreakable, Heartbreaker, 2000 Watts, Threatened and Whatever Happens). It's far too long and has so many ballads - most pretty weak, IMHO. As a review when it was released stated, it is over twice as long as Thriller and has less than half the effect.

I do listen to some tracks time-to-time, but it's not a classic.

I know I'll get attacked by people saying it is an amazing album full of heartfelt ballads etc., but there we go...

no attacks...

there is an irony though...how come 50 % of the threads in this section are about Invincible? lol

i don't want to be a lightining rod either...

but maybe media had a little influence on the highly critical nature of the criticism of this album, because there is a lot of interest in this album...so..maybe its not so underrated after all..

but people might get mad at me for saying this, but i think media has a little influence on thinking...

i think if the albums were reversed, thriller would be thought of as underselling, and overcritcized, when in reality it would probably still sell as it was reported..

in conclusion, i think the media is lying about Invincible sales..the bias against Michael was extreme..and, if i had said the media was that biased against Michael, and nobody saw the evidence..people wouldn't believe me..

because there's something subliminal about the media...
not that this is a subject comparison, but, it's a media comparison..

it's sorta like alchohol..

it's popular...there are crashes due to drinking and driving, but because of the cool beer commercials(and government allowing it)...alchohol is still popular..

anyway, it's strange for me to say i don't like an album that i listen to constantly, and bought with my own money, and download, constantly, since 2001..so...i guess i love Invincible..lol

I think it's a great album, but in the same time probably the most complicated of all MJ's albums. It took me about an year to really go into the the music on this album, put down my defences and really enjoy. It has a great deal of drama and anger combined with the most peaceful and loving songs in the history of POP music. In one piece - Speecheless - it comes close to something that I call a silent song - very reflecting, religious-like with accpella intro. In the other - Threatened - it sounds paranoic, drastic. It's never mild or scant. I don't think you can rate or compare one MJ's albums to another. Differences are just too big. But if I were told to compare - Invincible would be the one of those I personally admire the most.

It's my most favorite MJ album together with HIStory.
It is highly underrated. I guess Sony made a good job...
And I also think it is his most personal album after HIStory, although I know that he "only" co-wrote most of the songs.
I love it! Thanks MJ!

I think those 20 people who voted NO must compare it to other MJ albums, because Invincible is far better than nearly all other albums released by other artists the last 12 years.

Vince is a good album no matter what. It has it's flaws but it also has it's gems. It's a very good album and I don't think many, if any, can construct a valid argument as to why it's a bad album.

It's NOT as good as MJ's other albums (except for off the wall.. Vince>>> Off the wall) but c'mon, this is MJ we're talking about.

I really like this album. Never heard one I didnt like though, they all have their own "world"/sound. Invincible is special too. Full of great songs.

One thing i didn't like about Invincible was that it didn't have that classic Michael Jackson feel to it. Some songs did like Unbreakable, You Rock My World and Threatened, but for the most part the album don't feel very michaelish to me.

Now i know that people will say ''He was trying something different'' but he tries something different with every album HIStory sounds nothing like Dangerous and Dangerous sounds nothing like Bad but all those albums still had that classic Michael Jackson feel to them.

Another thing that bugs me is that We've Had Enough never made it onto the album. That song alone was better than alot of songs that actually did make it onto the album.

And yeah the fact that Michael only wrote and composed two songs by himself for this albums still bugs the hell out of me. When i buy a Michael Jackson album i expect a good chunk of the songs to be written and composed by Michael himself. I'm buying a Michael Jackson album not a ''Michael Jackson and Friends'' album. I have no problem with Michael bringing in outside songwriters to contribute to his albums, by doing that we've gotten great songs like Off The Wall, Human Nature, Man In The Mirror, Just Good Friends, Jam, Dangerous, Tabloid Junkie and Is It Scary. I just think that Invincible went a bit O.T.T with the outside songwriters
