(I Like) The Way You Love Me - Discussion

The spoken/sung/beat boxing intro - awwwwwwwwwwww
"this is the tempo and
This is the melody
Sings: "I was alone in the dark when i met you"
Drums *beat boxing*"

Meeeeeeellllllllltttttttttttts into puddle.

Come back Michael

same! it's like, he's right there with you, as the song just comes pouring out of his brilliant mind ! I love how I feel him SO much more with the intro there...Makes the song even that much more special

It is pretty awesome... I like both versions of the song. I am a fan of the original and play it often but I like this different take on it. The intro is perfect and makes the song.

any idea what he is saying after beatboxing?

is he saying

look at that, ok?

???

Wow, I'm surprised, I quite like it!!

Is it me or does this has new vocals after all?? At least some parts of it... there were reports of the song not having new vocals, but... I guess not.

Towards the end, right? Sounds like it might be the rest of the phone recording, just over-dubbed.

the song is simply amazing. i love it. best song on the album to me. it should be a single. it would do good on all radio stations.

I definitely think this should be a single. I'm torn between whether I like this or Much Too Soon as my favorite ballad on the album.

I really like this song, and I'm glad they didn't just shovel the Ultimate Collection version onto this album. The intro is perfect for this song. The only thing I take exception to is the Auto-Tune I'm pretty sure I heard in parts. Michael's voice simply doesn't need it.

The more I listen to this song, the more I like it. It's such a lovely ballad.
I like this version better than that on UC. I love the intro and added instrument, is it flute, clarinet?

Is it true that MJ recorded this song in 2008-2009 ! and it is not as the demo released 2004 ???

Much improved. I like the song now, before it was too repetitive and boring to me. Now it has a really nice lazy feel to it.

I think it is better now. I loved the original, but I honestly thought the ending could be improved. Now, the ending is great. I love the new version. Listening to it right now!

i like the old version better the new one is like a nice remix

According the UT it was recorded anywhere between 200-2004.

thanx alot , so the song from this album was recorded and finished in 2000's completely by MJ and not re-produced by Sony ???

but do anyone know when it was originally recoreded as a demo, since it was re-recorded in 2000's

This song is simply beautiful--I love it! And the short voicemail message from Mike at the beginning makes it even better to me. I've got this one on repeat!

The version on The Ultimate Collection was not a demo. It was a finished song.

The Ultimate Collection version>>>>>>>>this new version

cuz the new version sounds flat compared to The UC version.
They shoulda just put The UC version here, when they decided to release it. That woulda brought more attention to the song.

you mean this version was re- touched by Sony not by MJ in 2008-2009 ??

and MJ only released the UC version , not this version ?!

Listening to the first line: "I was alone in the darkness when I met you". I actually paused the song and considered deleting it.

Seriously, hearing Michaels voice with that lovely music made the hurt of him being gone physicly unbearable.

Love this song, even if it makes me upset and feel like crying.
