How did Michael feel about groupies ?

Poor Michael :(
Just think of the nightmare of every other fellow out there making jokes about such private issues, as if it was just nothing. I am sorry for the girl, but not as sorry as I am for Michael. It must have felt horrible to be scrutinized this way. All his life. At every step of his way.

Poor Michael :(

Yes, this happened... I even remember the name of the person who posted her story and autograph on MJEOL, I believe, and she was a person that was ripped apart by many fans because of her.. well, audacity or less thoughtful question/comment. But I remember feeling for her, because she did blame herself for her inappropriate communication approach, and was sincere, her first time meeting him, yet she ruined it. She asked him something like, since I believe, he was in a book store: "Hey, Michael.. how about some girly magazines?" Or Something along those lines, sorry, I don't remember her exact question. To which, she said that Michael looked upset, answering simply "Made up for the trial.." Meaning that, obviously, he didn't want to be remembered of it or about how the world found he had those mags at home. She apologized to him afterwards, if I remember correctly, and asked him for an autograph, which he offered to her. But I Do particularly remember it wasn't Just an autograph he wrote, but also some further explanation like 'Don't believe all the things you read', or sth like that, to which he added sth else, most likely, "Love, MJ, or I love you"..

She was from Italy, hence the cultural differences and speaking style on behalf of some. That fan thought she was being funny for moment, until she saw that Michael wasn't amused. She did post her sheet of paper with his message, and I remember it being heartwarming too... The God in him did wonders, for as most are saying, they wouldn't handle others being rude to them, or really daring, not to mention in such unique, extreme contexts.

And no worries, PMDC, I'd actually deleted that paranoid comment of mine before I saw your new reply, for wasn't addressed to anyone in particular, just was trying to point out that the story was real, maybe even the mentioned event.

What a man! Michael Jackson, what a man! He had a heart of gold. He's like a saint. He remained patient and kind even in the most uncomfortable situation.

If one of my friends casually asked me about getting some porns, I'd be upset and embarassed. I don't think anyone could handle the situation so well.

I miss him so much...

She claimed to have been close to him, and made sure she appeared in photos with Joseph Jackson even. She was a stalkerish fan, later making fun of him online on her myspace page with a friend of hers after she got asked to leave.

She made fun of Joseph or Michael? Just curious...

I must say I am juuuuust a little surprised with all the hate for that Joanna girl.
She was around him for quite some time. If she was such a stalker, don"t you think he would get ridd of her ?
Yes...she was following him around, but he asked her for the phone number. :)
What really happened I don"t know, of course, but I do think there was something going on.
She did few interviews and said good things about him. imo

MJ asked a number of fans for their phone numbers and later called them. He really cared and loved his loyal fans and in no way all that meant he was trying to get involved with them in any romantic way. I know at least three other fans (followers) whose numbers MJ had. And yes, he did phoned her, but it was just a friendly and loving thing. He REALLY cared about his fans. And we can have many people's phones and that doesn't mean we want to have some kind of love relation with them, don't you think? ;)

I cringe inside thinking of someone asking him about something so personal. Sometimes I see and hear clips from interviews and stories of people meeting him and asking questionable things, and all I can think is, that these people had such an opportunity--the majority of us will never have that--and THESE are the things that they bring up? I would never in a million years ask him about that kind of stuff! But maybe that's just me.

To get back to the topic of groupies, I'm under the impression that Michael found them both off-putting, yet fascinating at the same time.

I still can't picture a fan walking up and asking that. I'd say hello and hope that in the one-in-a-million chances of forgetting to put on deodorant it wouldn't be the day of meeting Michael.

^ :lmao:

Oh God, did someone made up such story to show that an MJ fan must be a delusional idiot that crosses lines- because I freeze in horror just thinking somebody actually did that.

And he still signed an autograph?? That IS saintly, considering saints were human.

*still hopes this never happened*

it did happened...i knew the story...Michael was such a sweetheart...

I believe about the sheet of paper.
What I don't buy is he said "it was for the trial"
That would be admitting he and his attorneys lied about important evidence used in the trials.

Assuming the story is true, I think he just said this because he was embarassed by it. Mesereau admitted it was Michael's porn, and they were found in places where they couldn't be anybody else's (like underneath his bed or in his nightstand), so case closed about that one. And no, it doesn't make sense either that the defense would plant something like that to make him look straight, or something. Michael didn't expect the raid. When he heard the news while he was in Las Vegas, he was so upset that he trashed his hotel room (http://www.contactmusic.com/news.ns...-hotel-room-as-police-raided-his-home_1116386 ). I could go on about why these mags weren't plants but I will stop here because it's not the thread for this. I will say though that the defense fought AGAINST these magazines to be introduced to the court and it was the prosecution which wanted to present them to the jury so bad, so again it doesn't make sense the defense planted them. The prosecution eventually got their way in showing them in court, but nobody really understood what was the point - probably to try and prejudice the jury against Michael, since they had no real evidence against him.

So the reason why Michael was embarassed by this fan's question is probably because he was reminded how Sneddon tried to humiliate him. This quote is from Taraborelli and here is how he remembers those days inside the courtroom:

"The worst week was the one we members of the press privately called ‘Porn Week’. Day after day, the prosecution showed, on an enormous screen, graphic pornographic images from stacks of magazines found at Neverland. It was awful. I remember sitting watching Michael’s poor mother Katherine as she was forced to look at those photos. None of it was gay porn. None of it was kiddie porn. So why show it? The prosecution suggested that it was straight porn used by Michael to turn on straight kids and encourage them to then have sex with him. It didn’t make sense to me. One magazine, maybe. Two? Maybe. But stacks and stacks?"

It's one thing to have porn at home and watch it in the privacy of your room. But it's a whole another issue when it's used against you just to humiliate you. That's what happened to Michael and that's why he didn't find this question about girlie magazines amusing.

Well, she did go back to France and told the most amazing story. She later appeared in a show called Temptation Island where she's supposed to lure already taken men to cheat.
If you were at the Invincible signing you probably heard how Frank Cascio kept telling Michael to get her phone number. She dated Frank for a while. There were nothing between her and Michael, only wishful thinking from her side. Yes, she was at Hayvenhurst, so were other fans. It wasn't Michael who took them there, it was a friend of the family.

Yes, watching the Invincible signing I've always had the feeling Michael was asking for her phone number for Frank and not for himself. I don't think Michael would ever pick up a girl like that, to be honest. If you listen to Glenda you will hear how disgusted he was as a kid when his father and brothers picked up groupies. So I don't think he'd do that himself. I think he was deeper than that. He needed to bond first and have a meaningful relationship before he slept with a woman. I don't think he was into superficial things such as groupies or one night stands.

I agree with everything you said :agree: I think exactly the same.

He had met Joanna years before that signing too, so she wasn't a stranger. She and a lot of other fans followed him for years beginning in 1995 I think.

And I agree about the one night stands, that's something he would never do.

And the comment "I'll give you more than a hug". hehe, Michael liked to flirt and he liked to make people happy and he was so amused when they got hystrical over things he said.

All I am saying is that it is not unthinkable for me that Michael had a few one night stands. We agreed a long time ago that he was not a saint.
People do that sometimes. Right circumstand...right girl....:)
What about Shana ? Did she also made up the story ? I don"t think so...

Why is that so important to you, no offense? I'm just finding this a little off, especially since Michael didn't like talking about his private life, the trial talks are already all about health and his death scene, it makes this all the more inappropriate in a way, since he's not here anymore to say anything on anything.

Many are agreeing on that he wasn't a saint, why does his sex life gotta confirm this, though? Isn't it already obvious he wasn't one, although his heart def was saintly. Shana Mangatal is another person who contradicted herself with her comments in her interviews, she came live on TV to 'prove' Michael was red-blooded? So she flirted with him, then she appeared on TV to make herself known first of, and the likes of her are definitely not trustworthy, esp since they're self-contradicting themselves in their stories. Michael was a gentleman, in his own words, for he never felt he had to speak about his private life to support his sexual orientation or anything of the sort, while others are flaunting one or the other.

Yep, she did.

Michael found her going on TV appalling. I know this since I have heard him talk about it. But he would never go to media to deny it since he didn´t want to embarrass people. I don´t think we should discuss why she went on TV but there is a reason for it.

Those weren't groupies, just fans selected by him to join him on stage.

He selects the YANA girls (the most envied group of girls on earth) but I read that sometimes his bodyguards and/or his staff also have a hand. Some have tried to kiss him on the lips but I think only one or two were successful (based on videos I've seen).

It is not SO important to me....just wanted to talk about this subject in a light way...with no harsh words or deep thinking. Just for fun.
I know Michael was and is a very private person , just wanted to talk a little about the girls and him.
I think there is no harm in that..not everything has to be serious.
Since Michael is adored by so MANY women around the world...I don"t think we are disrespecting him in any way by talking about it.

:shifty:

Well, this is completely normal. :in_love: Any girl would try... :naughty:

:blushing:

:fear:

Actually, I am normal, but I would forget about trying to kiss him on the lips and try to touch something interesting on the sly.
