Just watched the rehearsal... My God! :cry: It's so beautiful.. and so endless sad and heartbreaking, as for now used whole box of tissues, I'm sure for tonight one won't be enough. It'll be very emotional, seeing the Children and watching this beautiful Tribute.
I must say, I hate Tributes - they all make me so sad and even though I'm trying to move on, like there was no June 25th, every single event like that brings me back to realty, and I'm gong through this over and over again... God, I miss you Michael so much... :cry:
I hate Tributes, but this one is beautiful... I guess it's something what Michael would appreciate.

Woooow....you guys. I feel so badly for you all who always have to stay up at insane hours to watch our awards shows over here. =P Dedication, man. :better:

Oh, I love this. Think they did a great job, and I def. love how they keep Michaels voice in it.

I hope I'll be able to keep it dry tonight. Even tough these tributes and celebrations of his life are wonderful to watch, they hurt. It makes me realize that he really isn't here anymore.
Especially this song for me is hard to watch. This was the song that made me a ''real'' fan of him. I already was amazed by his dancing and Billie Jean, all of the ''classics'' (his music is hardly played in my country, so I only knew about BJ and Thriller) and it was this song that made me realize how special he was. It was thing song that made me put Michael Jackson the person on this first place and his music on the second place...

Oh gosh, it's still so surreal for me... :no:

If feel a bit sorry for the Jacksons, no matter what they do, they will always be criticised. If the kids had accepted the award last night, some would have been happy, others would have accused the family of exploiting them. If one of the family members had accepted the award, some would have accused them of being selfish and loving the spotlight too much. Same with the show tonight. You just can't please everyone... It's a lose-lose situation.
If the children really want to make a speech, then let them. They are old enough now and I am sure Michael would be very proud of them.

I'm confused by this too as it says Behind The Scenes, I want to see the show not behind the scenes

I don't know if I should stay up and watch the live feed (it'll be 4am in Moscow) because I'm not even sure they will show the ceremony... Probably it will be better to download it tomorrow. It will surely be available on torrents....

I'm the same kathiejmie it will be 1am for me and if we can't watch the ceremony its pretty pointless getting up at that hour (that's if I even manage to get to bed)

that's just how they advertise all shows in the u.s. :mello: most shows are shown live on the east coast and then delayed for west coast viewers :mello: except sports :mello:

Bet those ppl are so old that they don't even remember how it is to be 11/12/13. Hence ''they are old enough'' easy to say so as those arent their kids.

Didn't Oxman on friday tell CNN that Joe wouldn't be involved & he was pissed off because he wasn't consulted on the kids appearing at the Grammys? Now, Joe said he and Katherine initiated the whole thing. I am confused!

Michael will be proud of his children whatever they will do. Gosh really.
They are children, his children and not to be made responsible for anything yet lol probably for some reason. But sure they are also old enough to have a say in every decision about them.

See even when you love someone, that doesn't mean you always agree on everything right? still you do love and you are proud... because you want to be supportive.

I've raised my opinion on this matter already and I'll not repeat myself lol as that's boring.

But whatever my opinion is I want to emphasize I will respect Katherines decision however that turns out to be.

This is no right or wrong issue... it's always a question of how things are handled and I know Mrs. Katherine Jackson does give her very best for sure.

I meant old enough for a little "thank you" speech. What's wrong with that? Michael always wanted to protect them, hence the masks and veils, but if I remember correctly, we've seen them uncovered since 2008. The kids were getting older so he let them decide whether they still wanted to cover their faces or not. He would have never forced them to do anything.
Don't forget Paris' few words at the memorial. She wanted to say something, and if she and Prince want to say something now, I think it is okay. Besides, the children only had one public appearance (at the memorial), so dissing the Jacksons is out of place. They haven't exploited the kids. Yes, some of them are attention seekers like Joe and Jermaine, but to be fair, no "horror scenarios" have occurred. The children seem to be happy.

It's not on until Wednesday as far as I can tell. It's on 3rd February at 9:00pm on ITV2.
That's a long time to wait.

yeah and I dont have ITV2 so hoping it will be youtube'd etc
I like many others dont know whether to stay up or wait till I get home from work tomorrow, as it seems to be mainly back stage broadcast rather than the ceremony itself.

Hmmm. Insulting people who disagree with you is immature.

I remember 11/12/13. Perhaps my childhood was not as sheltered as some, but I was certainly mature enough to accept an award in honor of my father at that age. And old enough to know whether I was capable of and wanted to do it.

But, people mature at different paces. I know some 20 year olds and for that matter 50 year olds who are not able to make mature decisions. But you are absolutely right, they are not our children; they are Michael's children and he did not leave guardianship of his children to fans or aquaintences. Michael made Katherine the guardian of his children. Katherine is a lovely, intelligent woman. I am sure she has weighed all the pros and cons and she knows what maturity level the kids are at. I trust her judgement.

I think when I watch the tribute it will be hard.
