The decision came just this week, after Katherine Jackson, the legal guardian of the children, complained to Grammy producers that no family members had been invited, the Jackson sources said.

If there is any truth to this ..^^^^^.....then this is what bothers me...Ok..IMHO...I have unsettled feelings about the kids excepting this award on behalf of Michael....then i say to myself...Maybe it will be therapeutic for them....I just dont know..I just dont want them to get mentally affected by this is anyway...they are dealing with enough.

Why does it say Live stream Sunday 3-5pm then??? Here in Sweden it also says Live Grammy Awards 2010 but its tomorrow …
OMG I wish I could be awake to see this Live with you tonight but I have to go up sooooo early in the morning tomorrow.

The Special Awards Ceremony is on between 3-5pm PST tonight, there is a reception after but I doubt the kids will be at that.

I don't like the idea of Michael's kids being exploited in this way. I think they need to maintain their privacy and their childhood. I do not believe that Michael would approve of his childred being used for the benefit of others. Yes, some think it's a great idea. But, no, it is not. The only thing this will do is open up a larger floodgate of speculations and ridicule, not only against MJ, but his beautiful children. There are already nasty comments being made about the children on websites, media articles and videos. I would hate to see those kids go through the hell their father went through. He stood it for as long as he could before he passed. I would just like to see some more responsibility being shown by the Jackson family. :(

It would be nice to see Michael's children at the Grammy Awards, I'm sure they would do Michael's memory and legacy proud more than anyone, that would get Michael even more respect from the public and media. But they are still just regular children who have no need to be in the glare of the media until they are adults or at least in their late teens. I don't think Michael would want them at such a high profile event, he wants them to live as normal a childhood until they are adults because he never had one.

I personally think Michael's mother Katherine should accept his award, if she's confident speaking in front of an audience and is in better sprites than she has been since Michael death that should never have happened.

Would someone please tell me what people have been saying would start in an hour or two?! Isn't the awards starting in around 27 hours?! I'm confused!

Okay, so I'm still not a fan of this whole situation, but since they're going to do this, I'm going to support them and hear what they've worked hard to prepare for us. So...having said that - I have to be at work in an hour and a half... :unsure: Is the full thing only going to be shown on the live stream? I do want to see it... suggestions, anyone?

the pre grammy. Prince and Paris may attend to recieve an award on behalf of :heart:Michael.

I dont get it anymore. Someone else told me it's starting right now. So about what time should I tune in to see P&P? Like what time does the thing start they are supposed to attend. Please tell me in hours and don't give me a time. :p I'm really bad with the whole ET thing. xD.

I agree. I have been thinking about this and they are grieving. They probably want to do something for him. This is something they can do. They probably have a lot to say and want to say about their father. I am sure Katherine is trying to do what Michael would want for them. They are old enough to say how they feel and if they really want to do this then I say let them be. As for the media, well they are going to have to deal with that. They are Michael's children and there is always going to be an interest in them.

Pretty harsh imo. Easy to say/think like this as those aren't your kids. I don't think Jackson had any real option, other than leaving them to Katherine.

Same.

I think it will be on the live stream, their speech will probably be shown at the actual Grammys, surely... the Grammys desperately wanted them, so surely they will be on the actual show.

About the live stream Les Paul (R.I.P) is still on talking, still from the last time I checked. So is that even the right link?

michael may have expected to live long enough for them to be adults but guardianship is serious, u never know when something is gonna happen to you. he had any other option in the world but he trusted his mother and her judgement.

Yeah, I agree, of course they'll show it, but what if it's only like a two sentence snip and not the whole thing? =/

Tell me, what options did he have? The siblings that weren't even mentioned in his will? The fact that he chose a STRANGER over his own relatives when it came to his beloved children speaks VOLUMES to me, you can however continue to ignore these facts. What option do you think he had? Give them to the surrogates who bore them? Michael Jackson suggesting his mother despite her age to be the guardian of his children, and NO OTHER relative and naming Diana Ross as her ''successor'' and no other relatives just shows that he didn't think he had ''any other option in the world''
