OMG Kimi is so cute when he eats ^_^ And when he's swimming in the beginning

Lovely video. ( why he was signing that poster of Eminem? I wonder if he's good at golf :shifty: ) I wouldn't have minded if I was at army when he was there.. :innocent: I'm not sure but he might have completedhis army in my home town..

Yes, Kimi is cute when eating, when swimming, when playing ice-hockey, when listening to the music, when smiling, when walking.... ok, I must stop...:D

I've heard somewhere that one of his favorite artists is/was Eminem. That video was from 2004 I think. Maybe they asked him to sign that poster because he listened to Eminem's music in that CD store.

:lmao: he said that he's not so good at golf, he just does it for fun and also said that he's not that kind of person who would take lessons. He just tries to do it by himself. There's a scene when he couldn't beat the golf ball for the first time and the sand flown everywhere, he said: "Sandgame"... :D

I've heard that he completed the army stuff in Lahti.

Nice article with Kimi (Kimi-style!) I think it was before Singapore.

Q: How did you feel yourself in Spa after 3 consecutive victories and this timey ou had a DNF when only 2 laps remained from the race?
KR: I have learnt that in F1 you could be from hero to zero in a flash. Since then I have been going with all or nothing attitude. Sorrily with less success. But all I needed was wins. You can be clever afterwards, and it's easy to say that it would have been better to bring the car home 2nd place. But whining won't help. I gave it all and it was not enough.

Q: Lewis Hamilton had got hard critics because of his overtaking manoeuvre...
KR: It was a racing situation. You should decide the battle on the tracks and not in the judge's chair.:punk:

Q: Lewis said you weren't brave enough.
KR: When someone is in front in the rain, that has the disadvantage. The one who is leading has to find the right arc, and the one who is behind has to follow and he can notice very easily if the one who is in front of him has problems. Anyhow, I don't really care what others say about me.:punk:

Q: Luca Di Montezemolo said that you had to help Felipe Massa.
KR: Being the reigning world champion I'm in a much harder position. If I would be out of points, then maybe.:(

Q: Felipe Massa likes to learn from Schumacher. You don't. Why?
KR: I drive and work with my engineers how I'd like to.:punk:

Q: What does it mean to you that you'll be driving for Ferrari till 2010?
KR: I'm very happy that I belong to this team. I'm very happy with them.:clapping:

Q: Are you the best on the grid?
KR: At me the level is my own performance.:punk:

Q: What would you say to the ones who are questioning your motivation?
KR: Everybody can think what they want. I've never said I wanted to retire. But that's impossible for me to switch from Ferrari to another team. I'm hoping we could be competitive next year.

Q: Do you like your "Iceman" nickname?
KR: I think so it fits to me.:cheeky:

They are already in Japan!

Raikkonen assured of DHL Fastest Lap Award

His championship hopes may be all but over, but Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen does have something to celebrate - clinching the DHL Fastest Lap Award for the second consecutive year.

With three races still to run, Raikkonen has already racked up an unbeatable 10 fastest laps this year, his most recent in Singapore. With no other driver having recorded more than two, Raikkonen will collect the highly-coveted DHL Fastest Lap Award trophy following next month’s season finale in Brazil.

On top of that, just one more fastest lap in 2008 will see Raikkonen break Michael Schumacher’s record of 10 fastest laps in a season, set by the German during his dominant 2004 campaign with Ferrari.

woooohooooo! :punk:Gooooo Kimi!!!!!!!!!! :clapping: You can make it 13!!!!

I'm sure Kimi will beat Schumacher's record. I can almost guarantee he'll have those 3 more fastest laps.

I'm sure Kimi will beat Schumacher's record. I can almost guarantee he'll have those 3 more fastest laps.

yeah, I'm sure, too! Though they forgot to mention in this article that Kimi has already set that record in 2005! So he held it together with Schumi.

Alonso: BMW never a serious option

Fernando Alonso on Thursday played down suggestions that moving to BMW Sauber was ever a serious possibility for 2009.

The Spaniard has a solid contract to remain at Renault next year, but the deal would allow him to change teams at his discretion.

The recent renewal of Ferrari's current line-up was interpreted as one top alternative removed for 27-year-old Alonso, and BMW has this week confirmed that it too will stay with the same drivers next year.

"It was never a possibility," the double world champion said at Fuji Speedway.

"Also for them (BMW). It was never a serious approach. They were quite happy with their drivers and there was no time to talk for me."

The Spaniard said he will make his final decision about 2009 after the season ending Brazilian Grand Prix.

Just as Alonso is likely to stay at Renault, so too is it widely presumed that Jenson Button will remain with Honda next year.

The British driver on Thursday said a new contract is not yet signed.

"I am positive for next year and hopefully I will be with Honda next season and we can build a very competitive car," Button, 28, said in Japan.

He said he is not nervous about his contractual situation.

"We are not in a rush, it's fine," Button insisted.

Raikkonen ready to help Massa

Sunshine and warm weather was the unusual feature of the Mount Fuji circuit this afternoon, when Kimi Raikkonen faced the press for the first time on this Japanese Grand Prix weekend.
Since Singapore the Ferrari team has made it clear that its target for the remaining three races is to finish first and second in all of them.

Raikkonen was asked if a one-two was possible here. "We have a good car and a good team and, as long as we do everything right, I don't see why this should not be possible. My personal situation is the same as before the last race and of course I would rather win races than not finish or fail to score points, but hopefully we can have a good race on Sunday. We have had some bad ones recently so it would be nice to change that. Let's see how practice goes tomorrow. In the dry last year, we were very competitive so hopefully we can get a good result. I don't feel under any pressure with the current situation. I know the team expects me to produce a good result, but then I expect that of myself anyway. It would be nice to win as I haven't had a good result in a while."

Asked about the Fuji track itself, the Ferrari driver admitted he did not have much of a reference point. "Like for everyone, last year was my first time here and to be honest the weather was so bad then that you could not see anything when you were following people in the rain during the race and that is something that is not very nice about this place. But hopefully, this year will be better and we can have a nice race with a bit better visibility."

Asked about his role within the team given that team-mate Felipe Massa is ahead of him in the championship, Raikkonen was very clear on the situation: "He will drive his race and I will drive mine," (Kimi style again, he won't say it clearly... hehe) he said. "The team wants to win both championships and I know what they expect of me. Felipe needs to win the race for himself and I can probably help in some way but it is not easy to say exactly how things would work. He needs to get himself in front first. Anyway, I think our car will be competitive in all the remaining races, as long as have no issues to deal with. We are aiming to win all the races."

A driver cannot win in F1 unless all elements of the package are working together and Raikkonen explained that he too plays a role outside the *** No swearing ***. "We are a big team and we work all together. When we have meetings, everyone can say what they think about what they feel should be done. It has always been like this and the driver has as much input as anyone else in the team. We have a very good relationship within the team and everyone works very well together and we are always trying to make things better."

"I make mistakes, they make mistakes, everyone makes mistakes, unfortunately. We must learn from them. I have full confidence in the team and they trust me and Felipe. We win and lose as a team. Sometimes it is obviously not so funny if it goes wrong, but we always make our own pressure, in order to get the victory and to achieve the best"

"We have a good atmosphere. It is obviously better if we get good results, but people working well together."
"I think it is quite close with McLaren, as it has been the whole year. At the races always another team was faster and it also depends on the weather"

A look back at his own season was not particularly positive, but it wasn´t excoriate.
"The first race was not very good. The speed was not so bad, but we couldn´t get the result. Then followed good races and until five or six gp it wasn´t so bad. Since then, it is no longer good and that is disappointing. But sometimes it runs like that"
"It was not the best season, but that's Formula 1"

I'm more than sure he has more fuel than Hamster. I'm sure he could overtake Hamster during pit stops! I want him to win it tomorrow!!!! You can make it, Kimi! Goooooooooooo!!!!!!!:punk::clapping:

I'm wondering how could he help Massa... Alonso is in front of Massa, that's bad news for him. Alonso is one of the best defending drivers on the grid.

Kimi's column - translated from Finnish

Kimi Japan Preview

CROSS THE BAR

After the summer break everything has gone wrong. We haven't been able to get the result we have been waiting for. I could have won in Spa but otherwise I haven't been able to even fight for the top places.

This ain't never easy but it's hard to understand that it can sometimes be this hard. It hasn't been up to my will at least. I ain't no loser.

The season goes on and so be it. 3 races to go. A racer likes to race. My attitude hasn't changed in any way. I fight every time when the lights go out and start pushing.

Last year I got 26 points from the last 3 races. When it starts working you get more points fast.

The WDC goes to the others. I can't help it. I have to be a realist. Next year I'll give it another try. Now I just have to lower the bar back to where it was so that I get the footstep marks put in the right place and can start winning again.

My goals are exactly the same as they were a year ago this time. We try to get both Championships to the same address in Maranello again. It's going to be a tough call and we'll do our best so that the team gets the results they need.

What means is that we get to cross the finish line and get maximum points. We have again new things to our car and we should have a good chance in Fuji to take the first two places.

And the rain doesn't bother either. If it rains, then we'll drive in the rain - just like last season's quali and race in Japan.

Last time we had a great race considering how it started. We had some hassle with the tyre judgments and took the wrong tyres to the start. Still I managed to get up to 3rd place from the last place. It was tough when you didn't see anything but still the race went pretty well.

Fuji is a nice track. It's a challenge to find the right compromises to the setups. In quali you have to get to the top but still there are a few places where you can overtake.

And if it rains again, then the weather itself is the biggest challenge.

We have fixed a few new things so that the tyres would get more warmer in the rain. Time will tell if it's enough to fight for the win if the track is once again wet and cool.

I relaxed after Singapore in Phuket with my friends. I flew to Tokyo in good time. I'm ready and I'm in a good mood.

Toni Vilander won on Sunday the GT-Championship for the second time to Ferrari. Congratulations to Viltsu. The Championship is always earned. You don't win it by accident.

I think he's more than happy and relaxed this weekend. Finally!!! :) I haven't seen him in such a good mood nowadays.:)

Wow Alonso did it again!

*giggle* and no Mercedes in between the first three but a Ferrari!!! Thanks to Kimi!!!! :hat_wave: :clapping: :hat_wave: :clapping: :hat_wave:

Big congrats to Alonso, though it would have been better if Kubica had won it.

Kimi said he had some problems with his the steer because Heikki hit him (again) at the start. So that's why he couldn't get closer to Alonso or Kubica... Kimi should tell Heikki that he should be more careful because it was not the first time. It's ok, that he defends that a-hole Hamster because he has to but please do not hit Kimi!!!!! I'm so pissed of at Heikki!:*****:

Hadn't there been a car in front of Kimi before the 2nd pit stop he could have overtaken Kubica... again bad luck... bad luck...

He was so dissapointed on the podium... :(

Now you could see that Kimi is a good 2nd driver, because he wanted to overtake Hamster at the start and later he let Massa in front of him.

All I can say is that the 3 fairest drivers were on the podium. All of them did a brilliant job.

Hamilton
Massa

I can't believe out of these 2 drivers one could be a world champion....

Gooo Kubica!:punk:

Hamster was - again - unfair. That's all. When I thought about yesterday that Kimi could overtake Hamster at the start I couldn't have imagined that Hamster would be sooooooo unfair.

Kimi could have won the race! I'm sure!

For me the importance of this race was that Kimi could have won it. I wanted him to win for himself! That would have been great. I don't care about others. Hamster and Massa are not WDC material. Hamster is dangerous on track and the unfairest driver and Massa is a loser...

I know that Kimi is moving on but I'm not. That's not important of course what I'm thinking but I just can't believe these things could happen... How is it possible that the one who is fair enough doesn't gain with his fairness anything? He could have crashed into Hamster but a real racing driver won't do such thing. If Hamster had been in the same situation I'm sure he would have crashed into Kimi. That's the difference.

Now Bernie! Would you like to see Hamster as a world champion? Because he likes to talk with the media? Do you think that he shows good example for the people in the world? Why is it a problem for you if a world champion lets his driving do the talking and quietly shows how to behave as a sportsman? I'm wondering....

The world has gone wrong...:(

Kimi you are the greatest and fairest driver and I'm so proud of you!

Sorry I haven't posted for a while, our computer was broken and it was horrible not to be able to come here!

I was sooo happy to see Kimi in front row again!! Although Hamilton kinda ruined that happiness, but what goes around comes around and he got what he deserved after driving such a selfish way (no points). I know there was some problems, Heikki hitting Kimi's car but I don't want to complain now, it's been so long since Kimi last time was on podium. Of course he couldv'e done better if everything went perfectly but we have to be happy with this now :) I'm sure Kimi can do better in the last two races!

Hill: Hamilton needs to stay cool

A man who knows a thing or two about winning a World Championship, Damon Hill, has warned Lewis Hamilton that his "impatience" won't help him to win the title.

Hamilton appeared to lose his cool during Sunday's race in Japan when he out-braked himself into the first corner and forced Kimi Raikkonen off the track. He was handed a drive-through penalty for the incident. The Brit admitted after the race: "I made a mistake and I paid a price for it."

Hill hopes Hamilton has learned a thing or two from the incident at the Fuji Speedway.

"Lewis is impatient to win that first title, but you can't force it," Hill told BBC Radio 5 Live.

"There's no question about his speed or ability, he just needs to stay cool and let it happen."

"Sunday's race was a lesson, and Lewis learns very quickly.

"He'll look back and think maybe it would've been better to settle into it more and got his rhythm going.

"It's a mark of Lewis's career - he's always been very keen to get the job done and move on, and you need that impatience, but it can sometimes trip you up if you're not wary."

The 48-year-old Hill, who won the 1996 Championship after an intense battle with Michael Schumacher, believes Hamilton should take a leaf out of the German's book.

"Even Michael had his moments, but you could rest assured that he would usually bring it home," he added.

"He had a very cool head, an ability to detach himself and not let that impatience get the better of him.

"If Lewis keeps a cool head, then he'll be fine. I think he will get the job done."

Formula One triple world champion Sir Jackie Stewart gave the verdict to Lewis Hamilton's performance the Japanese GP.

- His first action was to bend a little presumptuous to other drivers, Stewart was downloaded by RBS's column.

Started from pole 23-year-old Hamilton lost his chances wiht too aggressive driving to first bend. Jury gave it a result of Hamilton for the depot through penalty.

- Japan's race showed that Lewis is still a very young person driving a second mandate, and although he seems calm down in interviews, he does not always have the same kind of mind control, when he drive a race, Stewart said.

Hamilton was ranked by Fuji track in 12 th.

- Hamilton's driving was not his finest moments. The old saying goes that "competition can not win the first bend, but it can not be erased it." That is precisely what happened. I think that Lewis, despite the calm outside the cockpit, followed the drivers and manufacturers' titles to win the race established in the plan, Stewart continued.

Hamilton leads MM-series 5-point difference Felipe Massa.

- Lewis Hamilton can still win the championship, but did not like the Japanese run, Stewart said.

( I just translated it on Google, so there might be some mistakes)

ps. Thanks for the pics you posted, Kinga. They were great!

^^^you're welcome! :) I'm glad you liked them!

I missed you here so much... :( Couldn't imagine what's wrong with you that you don't come here even during a race weekend... I can imagine how horrible it was with your computer.

Thanks for the articles. Both champions are right! I would like it if Kubica could win the championship. Since Kimi has no chance, he's the only one who would deserve it. I think Hamster and Massa both are very impatient and passionate so maybe they would crash into each other during one of the 2 remaining races.

Have you heard that Alonso said he'll help Massa to win the title because he hates Hamster? :)

The 3 podium finishers were asked about the stewards' decision that they have given penalty to Hamster because of Hamster's move at the beginning. Guess what they had to say:

Kubica: I don't know, I have to watch it first.
Alonso: Sure, it was the right decision.
Kimi: I don't know what really happened at the first corner so it's hard jo judge.

Of course Kimi knew exactly, but once again he didn't want to get involved in such things. Alonso said later that he didn't know anything about Hamster's move and suddenly said the stewards were right!:D He hates Hamster, no doubt!:cheeky:

Turun Sanomat/Heikki Kulta

THE CHAMPIONSHIP HAS INCREASED KIMI'S SENSITIVITY FOR MISTAKES

Niki Lauda squashed Kimi's performance already in Australia. He critisised the Finn because he drove off the track in the beginning of the race when Kimi tried to improve his place after the bad quali.

- Of course I don't expect myself to make mistakes. They just happen, Kimi said about Lauda's critisism.

Mistakes and a real avalanche of misfortune has labelled the WDC's fight for the championship all through the season.

There has been too many mistakes from both the team and the driver. It seems like Ferrari hasn't been able to build a car that suits the WDC's driving style.

They have gone from race to race by purely guessing if Kimi would get the brakes and the tyres in temperatures when the whole package would be working efficiently.

When the tyre hasn't reached the right temperature, F2008-car's setups are always a little wrong. That's when the driver has to take more chances and the sensibility for mistakes increases a lot.

When a driver, who has as a symbol the number 1 on his car makes mistakes, the understanding of the failure is to the viewer - and especially to the critical F1-media - extremely difficult, even impossible.

I asked before Singapore Kimi how humiliating the long row of zero points is to him.

- You can't do anything about it. When you compare my results to last year when I won the WDC, maybe you react to it differently and someone might get that impression.

- But I have had a lot worse times before this season. The difference is that when you have won and then don't deliver results all the time, it is different if you would have been 2nd or 3rd, Kimi answered.

The axe of critisim hurts painfully

Another mistake happened in Singapore when the car smashed into the wall from the 5th place at the end of the race. As a new critisism someone claimed that it would have solely been due to the fact that Kimi's physical condition failed. F! is a raw game. When things go wrong Kimi is hit like a "strange pig". When things go well, they stroke you gently like a dear pussycat.

So how does Kimi's closest people see these surprisingly many mistakes he has made?

Manager Steve Robertson knows that Kimi always does his best.

- Kimi just is in a certain spin that perhaps has made him try too hard. When you reach the level of championship you feel like you got nothing to lose in any situation. That's when you take it to the limit in every situation even though less would be enough to bring a good result.

- When you're not a WDC you accept the defeat easier and drive more safely.

- The best example is Spa, where Kimi drove only for the win. He is a champ and he wanted to tend to his great serie of wins on his favourite track up until the end. I believe that almost everybody else would have settled for the 2nd place after Lewis got past him on the better side of the track but not Kimi - especially not as a champ.

Robertson lives and feels with Kimi the hard critisim that has been poured on his neck for a longer time from different sources of the media.

- This is what this sport is like. People can be very negative if things don't go the way they are planned. It's as confusing as the positivity that comes when all the pieces fall into place.

- Every driver is as good as his last race. This is yet again proved the hard way, Robertson says.

Harsh strenghtening

The WDC's father Matti Räikkönen admits to Turun Sanomat that he has wondered about the mistakes just like all the others have.

- Why do they happen, that's such a good question that if someone finds the answer, I will receive it gratefully by Turun Sanomat.

- I'm sure I see this as a father from the wrong side. Mistakes happen but they are from time to time unbelievable. Kimi is usually the strongest when he is cornered, Matti Räikkönen thinks.

- It's clear that the events of this season eat the man like wolves. If Kimi ever could be more mature as a driver then it's after a season like this.:yes:

Here's another great article
http://www.sportingo.com/motorsport...raikkonen-finntastic-skills-nation-speedsters

I like the title: "Finntastic" skills...:D

About Hamilton and his move at the beginning of Japanese GP:

"Starting from pole, he knew that Kimi Raikkonen was a threat off the startline, but he also knew that Raikkonen was no threat to his championship position.

Second place here behind Kimi would have been fine, as long as Massa finished behind.

Ron Dennis even made this point in his press gathering on Saturday evening. So Lewis was told by Ron: “If Raikkonen passes you at the start, let him go.”

Lewis did the opposite. Once again, faced with a Ferrari in front of him he got a red mist on, just as he did when Kimi passed him in the pit lane in Canada.

He lunged down the inside with his front wheels locked up and pushed Kimi wide, losing vital places himself in the process – but more importantly, putting flat spots on his front tyres which would have made the car undrivable over a 20-lap stint. "

He's stupid, isn't he???!!:doh::doh::doh::doh::doh::doh:

Kimi's Japan Review (English)

We have really dug so deep, that the results we achieved at Fuji felt quite nice. Finally we finished the race, we started from the front row and got back to the podium. Obviously, the team was happy to get good points and climb back to the lading position in the constructor’s championship.

But I have to say, that the second place in qualifying and the third place in the race are not exactly what we wanted. It was annoying to know that we had so good chance for the pole and, most of all, for the win on Sunday.

The team has been working day and night to improve the car. But, for me, it was that same old story all over again. Setting up the car the way I like it to be depends too much on the weather and on the circuit. We know the speed is there in our car. We just have to find the right set-up to maximise it every time.

And we will!

The start was good. We got the lead, like we planned and when you turn first to the first corner, you should be leading after that. I cannot understand what they were thinking there behind me. They came much too fast to that breaking point and caused a big problem for many people.

You have to learn how to find the breaking points already when you six years old :D while starting with GO Karts. Obviously, you should know how it goes at this level.

I don’t know about the others, but, at least, my father Matti put sticks on the right places for me and for my brother to know where to break. :D That’s how you learn that lesson the best and you remember it always where ever you race.

At Fuji the fight for the victory was over for me already in the first corner. Both McLarens came too quickly and I could not turn to the first corner. The worst thing was losing so many places. If I just could have took the lead, like I should have after that start, probably we would have won it easily. But now we got stuck behind the others, we did our best, but we never got back to the positions where you have the advantage of using the clean air in front of you.

I managed to overtake Trulli and we should have been able to overtake Kubica in the second pitstop. Unfortunately there was one car in front of me in my inlap and we lost a fracture of the time also at the pitstop. That was enough to miss the chance to get back to the circuit in front of Kubica.

At Fuji you have a couple of places to overtake people. I was trying to fight and once I got beside Robert and little bit ahead of him, too, coming to the third corner. It was a good fight, neither of us did lift, so I had to go wide. After that all we could do was to bring the car home third.

That was Sayonara to the drivers’ championship. Really I didn’t think of the title after Spa. I should have won in Belgium, because that would have been the only way to control the point situation. Now it was just a matter of time, when it was over.

I have been telling since January, that we do our best to win the championship again and if that’s not working out, we will try again next year. That’s what we are going to do now. I know what it takes to win the championship back.

This week we go to China. Let’s wait and see what we are able to do there. Last year we won the race. Shanghai is a challenging circuit and I like it very much. Now we aim at getting 1-2 result for Ferrari and bringing the best points for the team.

Oooh, Kimi's birthday is just around the corner! (your siggy reminded me again :D )
I just found out that Eminem has same birthday..

He's stupid, isn't he???!!:doh::doh::doh::doh::doh::doh:

Gosh, he really is! I wonder what he has inside his head if not brains.

Q. (Ian Parkes – The Press Association) Lewis, do you feel your driving is at all dangerous in any way?
Hamilton: Not really.

Q. (Ian Parkes – The Press Association) Do Fernando or Kimi feel anything about Lewis's driving this season, that perhaps it's been a bit over the edge?

Kimi: No comment.
Alonso: No comment.

here's the dumbest question I've ever heard:doh::doh::doh::doh::doh::
(Jon McEvoy – The Daily Mail) To all drivers other than Lewis: do you think there’s a feeling among the drivers that you are jealous or envious of the fact that Lewis at the moment is leading the drivers’standings and also that wherever you go he seems to be the biggest star?

Kubica: I’m pretty happy with what I’m doing, so I’m fine.
Alonso: I’m very happy.
Kimi: I’m happy with my life, I wouldn’t change it.

It's funny that the biggest star is booed everywhere they're going...:D
