First Look: Life with La Toya - Oprah Winfrey Network

I'm not gonna watch any of it - not even online - in protest of the show's producers.
 
Yes, they appeared on Gary football stadium part. This is supposed to be only time kids appears on this show, but we will see if the show numbers drop.

I have to admit that I watched the second episode that was posted above, and I cannot believe what a crap I watched :bugeyed
The only funny bit was when she said Majestic is Jackson family's own freeloader. It takes one to know one :smilerolleyes:
 
Her show did well for a 2nd week. Still had over a million.

Why is this Majestic person living at Encino for free. Doesn't the estate own it? There is something she said I thought was true. When the family lived in Indiana they probably were closer and then they get famous and move to California and everything changed.
 
How can anybody not enjoy, or find it interesting, to see Michaels mother and La Toya inside the Jackson family home in Gary, I mean, that was so touching.. it's not all bad her program...

mysterygirl7...with all sarcasm or anything else you might think from the response I'm about to make here aside... it's great that you enjoy LaToya's show. With what's on the tube these days, if there's something that entertains you, stay tuned. I only have a few shows I really like these days myself.

But in answer to your comment about "how can anybody not enjoy" them, as I previously mentioned, I don't view LaToya favorably. If the Arvisos or Diane Dimond had a show on television, it's not something I could be entertained by because of my personal feelings for them. That doesn't mean others would not find entertainment value in what they do. But for me personally, I would not.

Another example is Mel Gibson. I used to really like him. His famous tirades have forever changed my interest in him. I can't watch him now without hearing his racist words in my mind, and just don't enjoy him anymore.

Again, I'm just answering your question here as one MJ fan to another to share a perspective that is different from yours, which is mutually fine.

You are really comparing La Toya to some harsh people out there, I gotta say.. Diane Dimond.. The Arvizos, ( Mel Gibson, I don't know enough about to judge him) I haven't followed the stories about him - I don't know nothing... but you are comparing La Toya, who stood by Michael in the trial to the worst people, who tried to hurt him the most... wow, okay... you must really have a grudge against La Toya!! I don't think she deserves it.. to some extent yes, but to compare her to the worst people on the planet, like Diane Demon, and the grifters is really quite something.....

^^ Well, LaToya accused Michael of being a child molester in 1993. The fact that she's his sister makes the betrayal only worse. I know she blames it all on Jack Gordon now. I'm not sure about that, since she could escape Gordon immediately when he wanted her to do porn, but she couldn't when he wanted her to say horrible things about her brother that could have put him in jail? A lot of people in 1993 were like: "Wow! Even his sister says it, so it must be true!" But let's give LaToya the benefit of doubt about 1993. Let's say that was really all of Gordon's doing. What about what she's doing now? That she teams up with the very people who wanted to make a movie of Victor Gutierrez's book? And that a year or so after Michael's death she went to give an interview to Gutierrez, hugging him, patting him on the back as if he was a friend. Sorry, but LaToya cannot blame all these on Gordon any more. If she was really sorry about 1993 she would be careful not to associate herself with some of Michael's biggest enemies.

And that's only about the allegations. We haven't yet spoken about her exploitation of Michael's kids.
 
If you are gonna hang on to, what she did in the past, in the 90ties, and can't get over that, if you don't understand that Jack Gordon made her do all those things, and controlled her, then.. what can I say..

She said a lot of things about her family in the past, that was not true, she wrote a book, (that I haven't read) it was her time of B.S. - where she put a lot of things out, that was clearly B.S and not true.. Also watch Unauthorised.. really you gotta watch that, see MJ and La Toya together, she truly is sweet, I don't think she had an easy life, always being the sister of the Jackson 5.. don't get me wrong, I'm not enjoying hearing La Toya holding that press conference in 1993, I was SHOCKED when she did that.. but I think there is an explanation to the things she have done, the mistakes she has made. You need to forgive her!

Why do you think her book is called Starting Over? Michaels fans have to let her start over...

I said I would be willing to give her a benefit of doubt about 1993 if she hadn't done questionable things since Michael's death again. I notice you just ignored my concerns with the producers of her current documentary and her being all chummy with Victor Gutierrez. Do you know what horrible things that guy did to Michael? So LaToya being chummy and teaming up with such people does not make it easy for me to believe that she's full of regret about 1993. She just doesn't seem to care.

And her exploitation of MJ's kids wasn't just the one minute on her show (though even that one minute is too much on a show which is procuded by people like Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato).

Ofcourse that is wrong of her to talk to Victor Gutierrez! I don't understand the family sometimes, when they invite Oprah to their house and let her interview the children. And I don't understand, that La Toya would do her show on OWN. What can I say, it's all very wrong..

Latoya goes to medium in disguise. He contacts spirits says a Michael is there. Michael's spirit says his death was an accident but not really an accident. (sounds like negligence to me) He says he is happy and wants her to quit playing CSI and move on with her life. This makes latoya relieved and free to start over. Next Episode she is going house hunting.
 
^^ So she makes "Michael's ghost" a part of it? Way to exploit Michael's name for her own benefit and ratings.

Yes. There is no proof ghosts exist and it's totally crazy that they are going to refer to MJ's ghost for whatever of their own agenda they want to push. Who is this "security" anyway?
 
If Latoya didn't keep giving me a reason to be unfavorbale towards her, I would be able to enjoy seeing her. It's like when she 1st appeared on The Apprentice last year. I loved her on there and rooted for her. But then afterwards while promoting her book, I didn't like how she sold out MJ when asked about his parenting and then later with the shameless exploition of his kids.

That is what I finds so odd about the family. They continuously come out with all these projects, but they don't do anything to make you want to support them.

They are not really saying anything shocking... the security guy or whatever he is, he seems to be someone who works there, is saying that Kenya barked in a certain place near Michaels old room. Then they are saying that strange things has happened, a door opened.. I don't believe in those kind of things either, but there are many people that believe in spirits and stuff.. she is no different, than anybody else who has lost a relative..
