Hate to say it, but I think the mainstream media had an awakening with Michael's death. For a full week they were still pushing the "eccentric freak/criminal" stuff and by the end of his televised memorial, that came to a halt.
The public spoke loud and clear by the outpouring of grief and they realized they were on the wrong side. Tabloids do what they always do.
Sadly, I think this would have had a ton of press if Michael was alive.

Anyway, praying, hoping and keeping fingers crossed that Beckloff does the right thing.

If MJ was alive, this would NOT be happening and these two clowns would still be praising MJ and trying try to be around him. Wade, James, did this because MJ is dead and they want to make money. In their eyes, MJ is gone and in the eyes of people like them, they think they are not hurting the person. And it does not have to be with MJ only. Have you seen people living and everyone gets along BUT as soon as that main person dies, there is that ONE person who acts up even though that one person was nice when the now deceased person was alive and now this one person want to take over and get everything from everyone else and everyone is SHOCK that the one person is behaving like that now that the deceased person is gone?

Today is the hearing of the summary judgement. I think there will be no report about this?
So only a few more weeks of waiting for getting the decision about the dismissal and it`s over.

Hearing date for Summary judgment has been moved to December. I'm assuming it's by Wade's lawyers- as Estate have already filed their motion long ago and Wade needs to respond to it.

This is why this case need to be dismiss Michael is not here to defend himself these are all lies that Wade is telling no proof to back his story up the Judge has given Wade more the enough time to fix his case and he fail to do so by law this case should be dismiss.

I found this re. what an "OSC re. Contempt" is:

OSC = Orders to Show Cause

What could that existing order be that Spence wants the court to find Robson's lawyers in contempt of?

jonathan isn't harassing anyone. They just scheduled two motion hearings on the same date. Pay attention to ;. on December 12th judge will hear both Jonathan's and Chandler's motions.

So Jonathan Spence filed this against Robson's side and asks for monetary sanctions. Interesting. I wonder if they were harrassing him, trying to make him turn against MJ etc.

I'm 99% sure that it is Wade's lawyers trying to depose Spence, Chandlers etc. - aka harassing them and this is all about Spence and Chandlers not wanting to be dragged into this at all. That's all the protective orders (not to be deposed), sealing requests (documents they file from the public) and all the penalties etc are about.

BTW deposing none of these people will solve Wade's problems with this case - the control issue.

First Spence filed a protective order and for sanctions then Robson requested sanctions against Spence and his lawyers for refusing to appear for deposition.

Robson wants the court to find Spence in contempt of a court order for refusing to kiss his freaking ass.

Not really. It's been crickets in the press for a long time now. The last thing was that fake child porn story that only tabloids and their affiliates picked up, and that's been a couple of years, hasn't it?

Another delay why am i not surprise like Ivy say this will not help Wade case control issues could not proof that the companies had control over Michael so therefore end of story. Looking at the posts in this thread and what Wade and his lawyers are trying to do by harassing these ppls is a wait of time.

1. Why would serving a subpoena cost so much?

2. Someone other than Robson and Safechuck must be financing
this travesty unless they have sold stories to tabloids.

It doesn't cost much to prepare and serve a subpoena. I would say about $100 or so. What would cost is the money you pay to the court reporter for the transcript. Depending on how long the deposition and how long the transcript is it could be costly. but I don't see why they couldn't reschedule, it happens very often.

So it's either that Finaldi is lying once again and there was no substantial cost whatsoever
or he or someone else at his firm personally served Spence and they paid for the trip
from Orange County to Encino. But why would they do that when
you can mail a subpoena?

They are asking for medical, psychotherapeutic and sexual histories from somebody who supposedly is a third party witness? They are absolutely insane-no wonder Spence hired a lawyer. Is this the way they "won" their other cases??? Sheer intimidation. These people need to be disbarred, IMO.

To be fair, Robson probably has no idea about any of this. Most plaintiffs are not closely involved in how their lawyers run the case, and the lawyer has the power to decide how the case should be run on behalf of the plaintiff. Especially in contingency cases (which, I'm assuming, this is one of) lawyers have a lot of freedom. This looks to me like a run-of-the-mill discovery dispute, so Robson likely is only involved to the extent of his name being on the papers. That said, their case does look doomed and they do look desperate. But discovery is supposed to happen before SJ, so Spence's motion to postpone it is likely going to be denied.

The abominable way Robson’s lawyer Finaldi treated Jonathan Spence prompted Spence’s lawyer to look into the Robson case further. That resulted in Spence’s lawyer discovering how Safechuck claims were dismissed and how the Michael Jackson Estate have filed a summary judgment against Robson. Based on these information Spence’s lawyer concluded that Robson’s claims will also probably be dismissed.

It looks like Spence's lawyer is retained by the estate (the same Freedman and Hardy also represent Cascio, Porte and Angelikson and are billing the estate in that case), so the estate must have given them all the information about the case posture.

BTW this is not the latest SJ in the case. Rather than demurrer they filed a SJ on one of the issues while reserving their right to file SJ on the remaining issues. That's why discovery is still ongoing as well - normally SJ gets filed after discovery is closed. So Beckloff can delay the deposition until after the first SJ is determined.
