[Discussion] Sexual Abuse Claims Against MJ Estate - Robson/ Safechuck/ Doe

Re: [Discussion] Wade Robson files claim of sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

huh nothing. I guess that either means no decision or no one attended the hearing

I was wondering this:
12/16/2014 at 08:32 am in department 51 at 111 North Hill Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012
Hearing on Demurrer( 2X)

I looked Future hearing earlier this week, but that x2 wasn't there that time, only Hearing on Demurrer?
Maybe hearing was proceeded as planned, and judge makes his decision of Safechuck the same day as Wade's case?

The (x2) was there yesterday already before the hearing. Could be that it's the second round about the same demurrer (the demurrer on the companies)?

Why is the judge going to make a decision on Safechuck case on Dec 16 the same day as Wade case? Wade and his lawyers are up to something.

We do not know what that (2x) means it's just speculation, so please do not refer to speculations as if they are facts. We are merely speculating on what it might mean.

Not saying Bill Cosby is guilty or anything but don't rush associating his case and Michael's case too quick... Yes, the media once again tossed "Innocent until proven guilty" away, but let's not go ahead of ourselves. We know facts about Michael's case by heart.

In my opinion the timing is odd with the Bill Cosby thing... I think the handling of it is unfair to him. I'll give him that. But I'm not going to link a case which I'm 10000% sure is false based on evidences and testimonies with a case I practically know nothing or almost nothing about. No offense guys.

None taking

Re: [Discussion] Wade Robson files claim of sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

Thats very true. Although I wasn't commenting on the cases (as I don't know enough about Cosby's to comment whether I think their true or bot) but rather the way the press is handling it. It made me think of Michael and the coverage he faced and what could he possibly have said or done against that kind of onslaught. Anything he said or did they could and did use against him. I really don't know how he handled all as well as he did.

Re: [Discussion] Wade Robson files claim of sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

This is not good.

no news doesn't mean it's not good. there is a million possibilities, perhaps the hearing didn't even happen or it happened and the judge took it under consideration which means no decision yet and nothing to report.

The (x2) was there yesterday already before the hearing. Could be that it's the second round about the same demurrer (the demurrer on the companies)?

I don't think it would be about companies because 1)that's civil case and it shouldn't show up on probate calendar and 2) we know that's when the amended complaint is due. Estate should have time to respond to it before there's a demurrer hearing. That being said we also know that the next Robson hearing is on December 16 from previous media reports so it could be Robson demurrer at probate court.

As for what's happening we need to wait for the system to update the proceeding information to see what happened at hearing. Granted or denied would mean judge made a decision, under submission would mean hearing happened and judge is thinking about what to decide, matter continued would mean there would be other hearings, off calender would mean hearing didn't happen. So we need to wait for that information be updated.

Thats the only point I was trying to make. I have no idea if any of this is true or not and definitely don't think he's automatically innocent because he was the most loved TV dad of all time. I'm too old to be a "Huxtable kid" and my childhood memories go back to when he was breaking barriers with "I Spy" or doing skits with the Jackson kids.
This does not automatically make him a saint and people are definitely not always the characters they play on film.
However the trial by media is the problem I have with the whole thing. Within a matter of weeks his entire legacy has been destroyed and the livelihood of people who worked with him in the past thru residual money has disappeared.
I just have a real problem with people denied due process of law and wanted to point out how easy it is to bring anyone down on allegations alone.

Yes, I do not like this either. What is strange to me that these allegations have been going on about him since the early 2000s so why does the public react to it this way NOW? I mean I heard a TV channel just took the rerun of the Cosby Show off the programme because of this. But these are not new allegations and surely that TV channel was aware of these allegations from the past when they put the Cosby Show on program too? So why that reaction as if they are brand new about it? Sounds a bit hypocritical.

Re: [Discussion] Wade Robson files claim of sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

I can answer that.

A woman accused him of rape (2004) and DA decided they won't prosecute. She then filed a civil lawsuit (2005) stating that she had 13 other women who would testify they were raped. 3 of the women identified themselves and told their stories to the media at that time. Case settled in 2006. It all ended.

Recently Cosby getting a lot of recognition for his work, specials, new series, a biography etc. A Comedienne starts calling Cosby a rapist at his stand up - he was referring to the 13 women ready to testify. after a few months someone records his bit and posts it online and the video goes viral and media start reporting about it. Some of the women who accused him before and some new women start making claims.

so in short a famous stand up artist calls Cosby a rapist, video makes rounds and suddenly everyone and media was like "why is he calling Cosby a rapist?" and it all started again.

I know this but I still do not understand why it blew up bigger now than when he was first accused - mainly by these same women? It's not like it's a new case.

I also read that he wanted to have some fun competition on his Twitter and asked people to make memes of him and it turned out to be a bad idea because a lot of memes came back referencing the rape allegations and that's how it got out of hand. So yeah, I understand why it became a topic again, but what I do not understand is why did it blow up bigger now than when he was first accused? That does not mean anything about his guilt or innocence of course, just strange to me.

Re: [Discussion] Wade Robson files claim of sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

because first time around it wasn't major news, there were no criminal charges and the civil case was quickly settled. Although 1 women sued and 3 women identified themselves, none of them detailed their alleged rape. So back then it was pretty much ignored and/or not believed.

This time around people paid attention. why? hard to say. perhaps the accusations this time around came from a man? or as one of the accusers called it "only when a male comedian called Cosby a rapist did the accusation take hold."

Re: [Discussion] Wade Robson files claim of sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

I agree with Spyce about the internet. I saw the online interview of the biographer and thot it was a little strange when they asked him about the whole episode. He said something like he left it out of the book because it was alleged and no real evidence. I just thot that was a strange reasoning to leave it out entirely.

But then the comedian no one ever heard of did a skit about it and it spread like wildfire on social media. The sheer numbers of people on social media are staggering and mainstream media nowadays just follows whatever is happening there. Sad.

I guess we can be glad that social media did not really pick up on Robson and Safechuck despite of all the efforts of MJ haters. I guess the difference is that MJ is dead and even to people who are unsure about the allegations against him it all seems unfair and opportunistic to claim this now when they could have claimed it when MJ could face it and defend himself.

Re: [Discussion] Wade Robson files claim of sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

It hurts my heart to say it or think it, but I do believe it is only because Michael is dead.
If he were alive the coverage to Wades case would be another story entirely.

I think if MJ was alive Wade would still be visiting him to have BBQs with him. IMO he and James Safechuck are cowards who are only doing this because MJ is not here to defend himself so they do not have to look him in the eye while claiming such horrible things and he cannot defend himself.

You was reading my mind i was getting ready to say the same thing because Michael is not here.

And the reason this has blow up so big we have 17 ladies who have claim that Bill Cosby sexual abuse/rape them have you notice what these ladies have been say he give them a glass of wine and a pill some of the ladies don't even remember what happen to them it is a messy.

You are right i have been saying this since day one this should have been throw out but the reason why is because Wade claim he was sexual abuse by Michael at a young age so the judge has to take Wade word as true his only job is to decide if Wade has enough evidence for this case to move forward.

Re: [Discussion] Wade Robson files claim of sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

^The case will get thrown out. Too much BS involved.

this is about the only silver lining i see in all of this. the way social media has just exploded not only with cosby but with lena dunham being accused of being a child molester too?? i am not a fan of either to be honest (have a real problem with MJ's name being dragged in with cosby's on *any* level) but the absolute feeding frenzy regarding those two is just way too familiar. thankful every day that very few people know what's up with wade and jimmy. in fact, most of the news i see comes from fans themselves. even more thankful there was no social media in 93/05. i was talking to a friend the other day that either forgot or had no idea that Michael was ever even involved in a criminal trial! that's ok with me.

Thank God.

Exactly and these new women who came out with they claim really got it going again. Just like that the world has change they mind about Bill Cosby they see him as a rapist now and it is sad to see.

Thank Ivy i had another question but you answer it here in your post.

Re: [Discussion] Wade Robson files claim of sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

We know Wade has to file a amended complaint by Dec 16 he just may do this on 16 who know but my question is he has to prove that somebody in MJ companies knew or was aware that this was happening to prove that the companies was negligence. If Wade and his lawyers can't prove this will the judge tell them to go back and redo the case again or will the judge dismiss MJ and his companies because you can't sue a dead man at least that is one thing both side agree on.

Re: [Discussion] Wade Robson files claim of sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

As for the news story if you paid attention they reported that neither Gavin nor Jordan made up their minds. So they reported they may or may not testify. In other words the last article was about nothing. Quite silly isn't it?

Look like this story is taking a back seat to the Cosby story that is the hot trend right now.

Again, you want us to answer a question about what the Judge will do. There is no way to answer that.

Re: [Discussion] Wade Robson files claim of sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

Did the judge say he might decide to dismiss MJ and his compaines?
