Awesome video
Susie. Truly heartwarming. It begins with some frightful, but unfortunately so very real images of the plight of children all over the world, but it continues with beautiful examples of
Michael's pure love and dedication
to them. Among them features my favorite ever pic of his - the one where he explains something to the lil boy who sits in the same way as he, i think that is such a precioussss moment.
Oh and Susie, also thanks for the the copyright encouragement earlier lol.
Everybody, i'm glad u enjoyed the links and everything.
Awww, thanks so much for
Ash for your kind words and the lovely picture you posted.
I just wanna go back a bit to Mos Def's song cause I really think his lyrics are so awesome and so terribly important.
I ain't no perfect [wo]man, i'm tryin to do the best that I can, with what it is I have. I can totally agree with him. I'm kinda extreme when it comes to just about everything. When I was younger, I mistankenly took balance and composure for mediocrity (mom and life taught me better), but I cannot help but
prefer mediocrity when it comes to being good, rather than excellence at being evil. Thankfully, most of mankind fits into the first category. If only we would all realise it sooner rather than later, wouldn't this world truly be a better place?
And since yall might me missin some pictures, since I haven't posted any before lol, I got a few of them from my pilgrimage to Rome last year. Goin over them I saw that I had already shared one previously in this thread – the table cloth with 'life is fragile, handle with prayer'.
Michaelangelo's Pieta, I ain't gotta tell ya.
A wonderful stainglass depicting the Holy Spirit, inside Saint Peter's basilica.
An exhibit that was takin place in Saint Paul's beyond the Walls church. The painting represents Saint Paul's (Saul at the time) conversion.
And a reminder that
God's glory shines the brightest in the plight of our fellow human beings. Michael knew that very well and he applied it throughout his life, as the vid Susie posted demonstrated so beautifully. This woman was sitting near Fontana di Trevi, you've all seen it, if only in Fellini movies or on the tv. If one in every ten of the people who threw coins into the fountain would have payed that poor woman any attention.......
And to close this off on a less serious note: we are getting are praise on and that's mighty important, matter of fact it don't get ANY more important than that, but let us not forget AllforMJ's promise. *whistles......then whispers....All4MJ, where u @, homegirl? 2010 is upon us and u still haven't posted, posted, posted, posted...goes the echo*. Just playin' yall. God bless.
One God, one light - as Mos Def sang.
P.S. Sorry for the size of them pics.
