Did MJ Find Love In The Dark (continued)

Not sure if this has been discussed already or not...

I have a question the about "This Is It" lyrics...I can be a bit deep at times so bare with me...

What are your thoughts on what Mr.Jackson meant by saying "seems like I have known you for a thousand years~~~"

From cosmic energy? Like they have met before? twin souls?

Intriguing...to say the least

:angel:Heal The World...WE Are The World...Knowledge IS Growth...Education IS The Key~~~

I interpret it as they knew each other in another lifetime until unexpectedly in the present when it became real. imo It doesn't sound like someone he's known. The word "seems" makes me feel like he is unsure or questioning if he has seen/met her before and possibly in what capacity. Maybe he saw her in person briefly, or she came to him in dreams a vision sent from something greater than us all, or maybe after all his encounters with women he envisioned the true love he was looking for? Someone he had imagined all these years that became a reality and when they met it just clicked. Like one of those "ah ha, I get it moments", when you just meet someone but feel like you've known them forever. Sounds to me like 2 kindred spirits/soulmates that have been brought together by destiny.

"Like it was written in stars, I knew....."

:)

Makes me think back to a post a long time ago that I didn't remember reading back when it was posted on 5/1 but I saw it as I was reading back through the thread and found it interesting. :)

Hate to make this love story even more complicated than it already is, but then again, why not?:D

What if the two people in this love story are seeing each other in their dreams, but when they wake up, only one of them remembers the encounter - I'm talking specifically, Michael! After all, in his songs he talks about how vivid and "real" his dreams are, but what if it isn't that way for her? What if she wakes up and actually, for whatever reason, doesn't remember a thing? I mean, in her waking hours she may know she loves Michael and everything, but what if she is unaware that she has been visiting him in her dreams?

Perhaps this ability was given to him only so that he could get to know her better since she probably isn't famous; but she wasn't given the ability to see him vividly and remember the encounter because she already knows him anyways since he is already famous. She wouldn't need to see Michael in her dreams. She can see him anytime.

I think this could lead to a lot of confusion and pain. Michael might have thought she rejected him or found another love when she didn't immediately come forward, but maybe that wasn't it at all. Maybe she just didn't know this was happening.

Makes me think about when I wondered if it's possible to dream someone to life. Pretty fascinating to think about. Anythings possible, right? :)

But I think the bros referred to them as "lightning bugs" instead of fireflies (or glow worms). I think back home in Indiana is where they would see them. How fun.

That'll teach me to watch something when I'm half awake, I'm repeating the wrong words. :worried: :p

We called fireflies "lightning bugs" when I was younger too. Pretty cool that when they glow they can be a few different colors. Nature is magical and truly fascinating to watch. :)

Wonderful post, Lily! :flowers: It also reminds me of one of my fave non-MJ songs (had the video featured on my youtube page this past February) done by Savage Garden called "I Knew I Loved You".

Lyrics: "I Knew I Loved You"

Maybe it's intuition
but some things you just don't question
Like in your eyes, I see my future in an instant
And there it goes,
I think I found my best friend
I know that it might sound
more than a little crazy
but I believe...

I knew I loved you before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life

I knew I loved you before I met you
I have been waiting all my life

There's just no rhyme or reason
Only the sense of completion
And in your eyes, I see
the missing pieces I'm searching for
I think I've found my way home
I know that it might sound
more than a little crazy
but I believe...

I knew I loved you before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you before I met you
I have been waiting all my life

A thousand angels dance around you
I am complete now that I've found you

I knew I loved you before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you before I met you
I have been waiting all my life

I knew I loved you before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you before I met you
I have been waiting all my life

For those who don't know the song...youtube link below. The video is pretty interesting, too.

BTW... In Late March of this year, Sony/ATV (which Michael co-owns) purchased the Savage Garden catalog...which includes the above song. It was discussed in the following thread on here.

Shabuya, thanks for the pictures. I do not ever see those pictures. Michael is beautiful in all of them. I will not get tired of looking. In fact I will NEVER get tired of looking at Michael. lol!

Justus, what you said made me think of the fans of Michael on tours. The fans are small lights that illuminate the whole place and send a great energy to the stage. I think when it's all pretty dark and the people ascend lighters or candles and you're enlightened. The public are little fireflies. A great example is the song "Man in the Mirror" of BadTour and Dangerous Tour. It's soooooooooo beautiful.

I have to came back for a second to this tread because I have something to say. I have a funny feeling about this song and video you posted. Lets say, I like the lyrics, I like the idea of the video, the singer looks good too to me. He looks pretty cool, really. He has a good voice too. The music itself is nice , but for some reason this song doesn't touch my soul and my heart one bit. I really do not know why.
If I listen to Michael's songs the light of his lyrics, his voice and music goes to each dark conner of my soul. It works like a magic.I am very sensitive to some classical music as well.
In this case nothing happened. I have no feeling at all listening to this song. I do not know why.

Shabuya, was so nice to see these pics. Thank you so much.
wendy2004, I Knew I Loved You is soooooo beautiful. I didn't know this song.

Thanks so much for sharing with us.

God bless you all. *hugs*

Me too. Something special happens when Michael sings. I can't explain, but I also feel it. And yes I'm also sensitive to classical music.

Oh.......and gals, MP included here as well.....y'all keep forgettin somethin - the other day i kidnapped BOTH the nerd AND the smile guy, so i really don't know who excly u are all after. :cheeky: :innocent:

You don't have to take my nerd! There are other nerds out there, you know! lol!

^^^LOL @ MP. So i gather, yours is the one in the pic you just done postin', right? But u know what? You can also have the one from the pages before as you can read way below....

And to answer your question - who dreamed Michael into life? That's quite simple actually - a project of such magnitute and magnificence could only have been designed and implemented by the Big Man Upstairs. No human mind/spirit could have conceived such a superb creature. You know how projects are - they driven by a need. I guess the world in August 1958 was in dire need of a shining bright light to be born out of the humble streets of Gary, Indiana. :D

Well, now...I dunno. As much as I think he looks positively sharp in that
jacket with a few shirts layered up, and I really like the bottom layer being the v-neck black t-shirt...I still really, really like the sloppy, casual look. When a guy wears loose casual clothes they appear more approachable to me and comfy, cuddly cute. Wouldn't you be more worried about mussing up his jacket or somethin' if you hugged him in the first stylish outfit...but hey, what's to mess up with the other ensemble? He's totally free game to hug and tossle and cuddle all up with. Yes? No? Hmmm. (I might be alone in this...)

I agree and disagree wit cha queen at the same friggin time, if u believe me lol. Btw of laughter, it's sooo nice to see you have been caught by the smiley bug; to be honest with ya, i was afraid for a while to use them cause u would be upset about it, but i've seen that u've made ur peace with them lil monsters and adopted the whole 'if u can't beat them, join them' attitude :D

I agree with you and I understand the point you are making, but i gotta say a couple, maybe three things:

no.1 - he cute, or as u put it 'cuddly cute', either way
no.2 - who cares about the guy's (and by that i mean ANY guy's) comfort and messin his stuff up? the egoistical creature i are cares only about her own satisfaction
no.3 - classy or casual, by day or by night, clothes tend to get in the way anyhow, so when u draw the line (from emperor suits to pjs) they are all irrelevant :cheeky: and by that of course that i mean what George Michael said in freedom - clothes do not make the man. Oh, and btw, i still got both the nerd and the cute guy on luck. Somethin out of Take that's How deep is your love video or close to it anyhow lol.

Y'all know i'm just playin' right? I betta quit this whole kidnappin thing or somebody is gonna send a :western: after my tale/horn sportin behind and i might get in trouble.

Oh and queen, i see you got this whole 'approachability' theme goin on about the man. What makes ya think he was such a tought cookie after all? It ain't like he was made of glass or stone for that matter. He was like the rest of us, ya know? Stuff made out of flesh, blood, bones, ya dig? Okies so he could move (on stage, at least), he could moonwalk his way out of situations, and he was cute as can be, and he also sang his behind off, and actually wrote the stuff he sang, and he cared about kids and animals, and actually practiced what he preached, and he was well read as well......on 2nd thought, i give up , u are right - he was kinda special after all. *goes back to watchin that HIStory performance queenie posted a day ago and is convinced even further that the conclusion was right - the man had IT, whateva it meant*

The right to be ridiculous is something i hold dear, as Bono & co put it so marvelously in a recent song of theirs, but i gotta be serious for one moment.

Earlier this evening i saw Mariah's video Through the rain and it brought me back to trial strangely enough. I remember during that time Mariah was on tour and she would sing this song and dedicate it to Michael. I thought that was lovely of her. Bless her heart, she always did have these amazing anthems. The video in itself has a beautiful interracial love story, but what really brought it home to me were the memories associated with 2005. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8eacFGsjAdc I know that is in the past and thankfully the Lord took care of that horrible matter, but it was strange to be reminded of the 'uplifting playlist' i used to have during those days.

What I would now like to share with you, for those of you who might be feeling a bit low especially now during the holiday season... here is Bon Jovi's latest We weren't born to follow http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68Te8piQH70

If i remember correctly, tha was a great fan of theirs, right tha? I kinda like 'em a lot as well. From living on a prayer to always to keep the faith (Jon's vest and jeans really ruled in that vid btw; his chest hair could've used a trim though lol) to this latest one, they indeed rock.

Btw of our Brazilian 'gang' - nice to have ya back Lully, glad u enjoyed them pics.

*after having released them captives, goes back and sits quietly all alone in her corner of the universe all cold and dark to patiently await AllforMJ's post, all of it after having watched the twymmf perfomance for the gazillionth tyme*

Here's an interesting thought ...

Who dreamed Michael into life? :)

I have no idea. Is the question DMJFLITD really a mystery? Really this could be a loaded question if I respond based on what I've read elsewhere outside of MJJC. But I'm not going to go there because maybe those that believe, say and act as if they are, really are his true love. Only MJ and if there is a "she" knows the correct answers to these questions. I personally dunno.

All I will say imo is "she" who dreamt Michael to be all that she hoped he would be, beyond Michael Jackson the superstar persona and deeper into Michael the man, kindred connection with him mind, body and soul, feeling each others presence although they may be apart, knowing that their love was gifted by something greater and with a purpose....."She" is the one who dreamt Michael into HER life. :)

or maybe not.....*shrugs* lol

And in the words of Forrest Gump....."that's all I have to say about that".....LOL

Me and the smiley thing? I've just been teasing SoS and her excessive use of ONE particular smiley...the "giggly" smiley.

I use smilies. But I try not to use too, too many in a post just because of past "conditioning." I had been a Moderator for awhile on a large, popular kid's site, with ages averaging from about 8 to 16 years old. And the site was eventually programmed to alert a poster, before they were able to actually post their post, if they had more than a certain amount of smilies in that post, and Mods were also to speak into excessive emoticon use as well.

The reason is because some of these young kids would literally fill a post from top to bottom with just smilies....like, NO other content to their posts at all. It got out of hand so the Admins did what they could to avert that situation.

But since I wanted to always be friendly sounding with the kids I frequently used smilies, infact, I always signed all my posts with my user name and a smiley face like this...

-queen g :)

And I think, Shabuya, it is great that you would hug MJ no matter what he is wearing! ;) So good of you to not let what he would be wearing get in the way of that.

Super cute to hear about you moderatin a kids' board. Now thatttt would be a load. U brave soul you. :clapping:

About women wearin nylon and heels and stuff and inducing in men fear of huggin cause of messing stuff up - i really, truly am nobody to judge anybody, but to me it seems that would be one high maintainance broad more concerned with her own looks than the man next to her, which in my book (as judgemental as this may seem actually) ain't cool.

Oh and them MJ pics I posted - when u actually think of it, that jacket and them shirts ain't like they just had been ironed or anythin, the man had been dancing and moving, so they was 'messed up' to begin with, how was a hug gonna provide further 'damage'? lol

AllforMJ - glad to hear them pics go well with what u wanted to post :) Lookin forward to it. Nite folks.

Hello? (echoes hello, hello, hello......) aw you gotta be JOKING me, you've all actually abstained from here quite near 24 hours?!?!?!?!

Fireflies...you would not believe your eyes, if 10 million fireflies, lit up the wall as I fell asleep.....I get a thousand hugs, from 10,000 lightening bugs, as they try to teach me how to dance...
I looooove that song, and
I looooooooooove fireflies/lightening bugs in general! They are like glowing, floating, flying stars on earth that you can just reach for and actually catch. Then after you've caught a bunch and realease them, it's like, well, pixie dust! it's a light show, and also you feel like holding on to them and flying right along with them. :)

I interpret it as

imo It doesn't sound like someone he's known. The word "seems" makes me feel like he is unsure or questioning if he has seen/met her before and possibly in what capacity. Maybe
he saw her in person briefly, or she came to him in dreams a vision sent from something greater

Someone he had imagined all these years that became a reality and when they met it just clicked. Like one of those "ah ha, I get it moments", when you just meet someone but feel like you've known them forever. Sounds to me like 2 kindred spirits/soulmates that have been brought together by destiny.

 I must say your analysis is quite intriguing...and seems to be somewhat of a reality..."Anything In Life IS Possible"

SOMEONE IN THE DARK

All alone wishing on stars
Waiting for you to find me

One sweet night I knew I would see
A stranger who'd be my friend

When someone in the dark reaches out to you
And touches off a spark that comes shining through
It tells you never be afraid

Then somewhere in your heart you can feel the glow
A light to keep you warm when the night winds blow

Like it was written in the stars I knew
My friend, my someone in the dark was you

Promise me we'll always be
Walking the world together
Hand in hand where dreams never end
My star secret friend and me

When someone in the dark reaches out to you
And touches off a spark that comes shining through
It tells you never be afraid

Then somewhere in your heart you can feel the glow
A light to keep you warm when the night winds blow
Look for the rainbow in the sky

I believe you and I
Could never really say goodbye

Wherever you may be
I'll look up and see
Someone in the dark for me
Wherever you may be
I'll look up and see
Someone in the dark for me

Though you're gone star far away
Each time I see a rainbow
I'll remember being with you
Smiles coming through my tears

When someone in the dark reaches out for you
And touches off a spark that comes shining through
It tells you never be afraid

Then somewhere in your heart you can feel the glow
A light to keep you warm when the night winds blow
Look for the rainbow in the sky

I believe you and I

Personally I feel Nerds are totally cool...ever since my grade school/high school days to present...I have always been a protector of nerdy, little guy/gal (s), under dog type...human beings that are basically picked on, made fun of...

One of my all time favorite Comedy films is:

"Revenge of the Nerds" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hw6zrInbtQE

Thanks. It was pretty brave, come to think of it, for there were lots of teenage boys that when bored would get too much pleasure in causing trouble for sport and harrassing the staff, just "because"......so yeah. They kept us all on our toes.

Well...yeah, I'll give ya that BUT for me personally he is just plain comfy-er looking on the right. He even has his arms in ready position to receive some lucky girl into a hug. I think he might even be biting his lower lip...and you know what that means! I think it's his way of saying "bring it on." lol. And in the pic on the left, he has both his hands in a fist ready to give it to some girl if she even tries to get close. Now... that could intimidate! So do you see what I mean?

Nite, nite, Shabuya. (and please don't let go of the chair of either nerd guy or cute smile guy in which they are tied to with strong rope, and then watch them go off the cliff over the jagged rocks and into the deep waters below) :tease: Maybe instead of singing How Deep is Your Love, How Deep Is Your Love, I Really Need to Know, it should be, How deep is the water, how deep is the water, the water so way down below... (Interesting music video, I have now watched, thanks to you).

queenie, i let them lil earthlings go before they had any rope around them. I ain't thaaaat bad, actually. I'm glad u enjoyed the vid though. Take that is one band i liked after they split up lol. At the time of the hype, i couldn't stand them, but i have since come to appreciate their brilliance.

About them picsies and winners and all - ain't that yellow X a bit harsh on the man though? You do know he is the same freakin guy, right, no matter the clothes he's sportin, riiiiight? LOL In any case, i give up, you win - comfy'er guy is better. Happy now? I'm a lover, not a fighter, ya know? Now....where that giggle smiley @? Know what as well? You can win this battle if u let me win the war. LOL again.

Susie, thanks so much for bringin' it home with them SITD lyrics. Such a lovely song, haven't heard it in ages; i guess i need to utube it soon.

That trailer is super hilarious. I didn't know about the movie, it def is a must see. Thx again.

And now folks, for somethin totally random, here goes a selection of funny and sweet pics i've found on me comp while takin a trip down on memory lane.

I just need to say a few things: first of all i gotta apologize for the profanities in the 'cluepon', i hope nobody is offended by them, but i thought it was funny, have no idea whatsoever where i got that1 from; the pics with them babies with the headphones on are from a yahoo news story about the therapeutic effects of music; it was obviously being used on new borns and it worked like magic. The last one needs no further comment. In this case, a picture AND some words really are worth a fortune. Peace and love everyone. :flowers:

Alternately, in the Bashir Documentary, he is describing the aftermath of Paris' birth and says something like, with a very straight face, "I took her home before she was even washed up with the placenta still attached...." Bashir says, "Really?" and MJ with that same deadpan look nods slowly and says, 'Really." Now what Bashir did, which to me was inexcusable, is he edited out MJ when he added, "I'm just kidding you."

Really , that happened?

That's my understanding.

I am under the impression that at one point during the trial that footage was shown to the court, of that very same interview, but taken by a hidden camara that was in place ahead of time... by one smart Michael Jackson, and showed much of what Bashir had edited out of the documentary that was aired. And this footage revealed that MJ said "I'm just kidding" after that bit about Paris when she was born.

THAT SON OF A B:censored:!!!!

Ohhh now im  , i hope bashit gets what he deserves one day

Hey, you can win the war with my anytime...and the battles, too, :D since all my arguments are based on being ridiculous (which means in truth I like MJ equally well in either get-up because I like him for him, not his clothes).

I actually was thinking about this a little while ago. I do not always, after being silly ridiculous with some of the things I say in here, add a "just kidding" or a laughing smiley or a teasing smiley, because I keep thinking the ridiculous side of my sense of humor most people by now in here are getting.

This made me recall a couple incidents involving MJ.

I just watched an interview with him around Thriller time where the interviewer asks him, "You're tweny-four...right" And he was quiet for a second then in a very deadpan way responds with, "No, I'm thirty." Then after a little pause he adds, "Just kidding, I'm 24."

Those that knew and understood MJ well and his sense of humor would know watching that, even with the "just kidding" omitted, that MJ was being full of nonsense...on purpose. But the rest of the world apparently needed that "I'm just kidding" and without it be provided for them, thought him serious and some kind of nut.

If I seem ridiculous, please do not think I'm serious. I suppose I have a little bit of a Gracie Allen type of sense of humor. Her whole style of humor was her seeming ridiculous and clueless and way out there. But she (and I'm not trying to say this is true of me, though, but it most certainly was of her) was as sharp as a tack. It was just her sense of humor, and it played off beautifully with her husband's, George Burns, own style of humor. They were quite a team.

Anyway, forgive me for the times I omit the "I'm just kidding" when I am being silly ridiculous (but I will understand if you have a hard time forgiving Bashir for when he did it). ;)

Oh, queenie  how magnanimous of ya to let me win battles and stuff. :girl_blum: My turn to be ridiculous.

Trust me, you ain't gotta add no darn j/k. I totally understand where u are comin from and i like to think i didn't need to write that either. In the post before i actually wanted to add a big JJJJJ/K so folks might get it, but i settled for the 'LOL again'. Of course we are all jokin up in here, helloooo? Fun never hurt anyone, right?

Do NOT even get me started on that Bashir poor excuse of a human being. Had no idea he did that, but unfortunately i cannot say it surprises me. It just makes me sick when i think of what he did to Michael, the degree of betrayal he managed to 'reach'. And to think - he presented himself as some sort of Christian in one article before the airing of the show. That is one thing i remember distinctly. I thought - wow, finally a decent man interviewing our Mike. Boy, was i wrong or was i dead wrong? There wasn't anything Christian about what that guy did. I actually don't know how he could sleep at night and even profit from it with the move to the States and all.

Having said all that, I cannot be glad about his disease. Vengeance does belong to the Lord. I do hope he asked for forgiveness for what he did to Michael though. It was terrible and if i would've had my chance i would've given that mofo a piece of my mind. Who knows, maybe time ain't wasted yet lol. He betta watch out.

Had no idea George Burns had been married to a fellow comedian. See how this works? It's barter - u watch take that vids, i hear about smart, funny folks....lol. Somehow, i think u got the short end of the stick in this one exchange though.

Glad u enjoyed the story. I too was very touched by it. As i said, i was goin through things, i hadn't seen it in years.

We betta cut this out though, or we gonna take over the thread as a convo between the two of us lol. We wouldn't want to silence the rest of the amazing folks out there, right?

If only AllforMJ would decide to post her stuff before Christmas, heck what am i sayin', before 2010 (i had initially typed 3020 lol; that's a bit tooo long a wait, for me, at least) would be nice as well......No need for any j/k, right All4MJ? :cheeky:

I just need to say a few things: first of all i gotta apologize for the profanities in the 'cluepon', i hope nobody is offended by them, but i thought it was funny, have no idea whatsoever where i got that1 from; the pics with them babies with the headphones on are from a yahoo news story about the therapeutic effects of music; it was obviously being used on new borns and it worked like magic. The last one needs no further comment. In this case, a picture AND some words really are worth a fortune. Peace and love everyone. :flowers:

now that was realy touching
