Well, if its "farewell" to the one who 'ran away' I suppose that would make sense, in a literal and poetic combination, sort of way. It sounds like he's saying, "she follows the pattern of the wind" so to speak.Okay, those make a bit more sense...but I don't get the Gazelle part?
Good point.
or are you saying it doesn't sound like he's saying that? :scratch:but I don't get the Gazelle part?
When it comes to Michael Jackson, you're asking too much. lol! :wild: :lol:Now see in this, we most definitely differ. I find him to be positively unfair in this way. Would it be such a sin to spell something out once in awhile!?

Nothing is easy in life and is good to find difficulties. lol! :wild: In fact Michael wants us to set our brains to work and learn to think and analyze all possibilities possible. Why should it be easy? lol! Michael has always been a very intelligent man and an incredible creativity. He is a very meticulous man who always paid close attention to everything around you. I'm sure all this incredible creativity was extracted from the many books he read, movies he watched and so many other things. Michael's creativity has no limits and that's wonderful. So, of course he would not give it so easy for us. Why be so easy it can be more complicated? lol! :wild: If it were easy, it would be fun. I like that. Each person interpreting in a way, but we do not know the truth and what is real. What I say is that everything is hidden in the songs and all the work of Michael that he alone knows and understands. For us it is a great challenge to discover, decipher and understand all mysteries and subliminal messages from Michael. To me it seems a great game that is fun. In the case of songs, moves through the imagination. It simply is a great revolutionary genius who is always ahead of his time.
And the mysteries of Michael Jackson continue... :fortuneteller:
Nice breakdown Linda!

Awwwwwwwwwwww get in the mood of the game! lol! :wild: unk:Well, I still think he is not playing nice. :tease:
Hmmmmmmmmmmm  :wild: Dance? This case is even better. :wild: So, let's all dance! lol! :dancin:And I will continue with my observations, analysis and research on off. :wild: :cheers:I don't wanna think ... I just wanna dance!
Thanks MP. And I think that the reason why he re-recorded this song for inclusion is that he found her...quite recently...or maybe it was in the 1990's when it was written...it is just too bad that he didn't see this and do something about it...she may have needed a savior herself at that time....it's too bad they didn't connect...she is one that saves lives...she could have been the one that saved him....but it was too late...It hurts me to think about this.
Thanks for pointing out Patrick Swayze's song and now you've got me wanting to see that movie too! This right here made me flashback to the movie I watched for the millionth time last night "A Walk To Remember" and a line Landon says at the end about Jamie....."her love is like the wind, I can't see it, but I can feel it".....so powerful.
Also Patrick Swayzes beautiful song "She's Like The Wind".
 Thanks tho for reminding me, I didn't mean to make it a proper noun, was kind of half thinking of Giselle when I wrote that I guess.Oh! So you were serious about the gazelle part. I thought you were kidding around because you couldn't quite make the word out right (which does kinda sound like gazelle, now that I've listened to it) and put Gazelle for fun. And because you capitalized it, as if it were a proper noun, I thought you were making it seem like this chick, named Gazelle, split the two lovebirds up!
Well if you call a song "direct" I guess I can see your point, but no ... he cared for "her" a long time at a distance so this song is saying he has a love he can FEEL.But no...
Hmmm.
So you think this is a goodbye? Like getting a message to someone that is basically saying, "later days?" That doesn't feel right. I think he had a really hard time saying goodbye to others because he never wanted to hurt anyone...he would just go away or stop seeing them or something, because it was too hard saying it to them directly.
Its not harsh, its very sweet and gentle because its first of all a song and not an e-mail and two, it comes from Above and what's in his heart, and he's letting her know he's been healed and to me, that's an important thing because it shows that he knows she really cares about him. Hay, just looking through my own lenses is all, but that's just what I get from it.So it seems too hash of MJ to write an "arrivederci" song in order to get a message across to some girl he knew really, truly cared about him.
Actually, listening to this song really makes me want to quietly pull MJ aside and say, "Can we talk enunciation?" lol.

Hahaha @ the last line in the post. It does make you wanna do that, doesn't it? I'm also baffled by the Gazelle part.
I too agree that it doesn't seem to be a 'goodbye' song, I read that interpretation on yahoo earlier this morning and it seemed strange. I still feel that way. To me, it sounds more like a song about discovery, rather than departure, but that is as far as am willing to go with any interpretation.
Ape mentioned before hearing 'your world'. I too had thought I heard that when listening to the song through the sound system, but then when I put the earphones on I couldn't hear it anymore. What I am fairly sure of hearing though is " I never thought that I would be your love, girl" not 'your lover' at 03:05/06, but then again, it could be my tired brain at work.
It's so lovely to see this lil' engine of a thread flourishing Keep up the good job everybody.
What are the next milestones - October 20th the video for the song and October 27th/28th the movie? I predict a flurry of activity round those dates as well, not that there will be any respire in between lol.
I actually saw a banner today in the city for the movie, right next to where I work. It was so wonderful. I took a couple of pictures, but I can't transfer them from the phone.
This has been quite an exciting day/night, hasn't it?
What do you mean by discovery?I too agree that it doesn't seem to be a 'goodbye' song, I read that interpretation on yahoo earlier this morning and it seemed strange. I still feel that way. So what is the explanation you feel he is given "her" why he is in love with someone else based on these lyrics?
Why in the world are you name calling? :scratch:You know...I'm starting to get it. It isn't that hard, you're right.
The LOUSE!
:doh:I know!! It's about Gisselle, one of our MODERATORS!! Cough it up, Gisselle....we wanna know all about this....
I am hearing the entire song as an "explanation" most pointedly the refrain,
It has a tone of "because" to it to me and because = explanation
[because] "I never thought that I would be your lover/love girl (whichever)"
[try and understand] "I never heard a single word about you" (you didn't call, come or write?)
[try and understand] falling in love wasn't my plan"
and he outright says numerous times, come on baby/dear please understand
I'm not seeing what's so hard about it
I guess because everyone else views it as a love song to a lover ...
*hunches shoulders* I just don't
I know!! It's about Gisselle, one of our MODERATORS!! Cough it up, Gisselle....we wanna know all about this....
I do feel poetic license is used a lot by Michael in much of his music. Even without it being a 'farewell' song, I don't see "I never heard a single word about you" (especially the tone he's singing it in) meaning anything about falling in love, unless you're saying "she" came out of the blue, but then he also says, "I never thought that you would be my lover/love girl" which says he also already knew her for some time = "never thought"Shabuya Since you put it thaaat way.......it does begin to make sense. But, I still have my doubts - if that were the case shouldn't it have been ' i never heard a single word FROM not ABOUT you'?; it could very well be poetic license.
I absolutely do think that. Although I realize I could be wrong as two left shoes, I patently disagree with most fans who feel that this sounds like the early 80s MJ. To me it does NOT at all. It sounds like maybe 90s though with a recent retouch to his own adlib like that, "ohhhh ayyyyyyy"It IS Giselle!
The part that is hard for me is that I'm thinking this was recorded at Paul Anka's studio in Carmel, California in 1983ish, with MJ laying down the lyrics accompanied with the piano. And so that makes me think if what you are saying is true, that this goodbye message was going to given out around maybe 1984 to "her" in a duet with Paul Anka, but never came about.
And I doubt he'd steer the lyrics that he and Paul were working on to say bye bye to some gal and would be such an obvious louse (kids) in front of Mr. Anka.
I could be wrong. It seems you feel these words were written recently and it was recorded recently by MJ 2009 and it's a fresh message to the LITD "her" he never got together with.
