Re: December 5 - 7 News and Mentionings

Please STOP posting tabloid articles here in the main forum as they don't belong here or the news thread. This place is for reliable news only and we do have a news thread to post news in, so don't make an individual thread for news that you find either. If you want to discuss the Xfactor rumor then do so here: http://www.mjjcommunity.com/forum/sh...ad.php?t=56713

At secondary school, she sang in the choir and dreamt of being an opera singer. “I was into opera. I really wanted to be Maria Callas, but I realised that’s not my voice — I had a very small voice.” At home, she sang along to Michael Jackson records “and made up little dances”. But another larger-than-life musical icon had a great influence on the young Hannigan. She vividly recalls a television commercial for a toy typewriter, the Petite that used Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5 as its soundtrack. Whether it was Parton’s voice or the simple, no-nonsense end line — “just like a real typewriter” — Hannigan knew she had to have one, and remains convinced to this day that she could have written her first novel on it had it not been for “shoddy workmanship”.

Although the concert was to promote Folie à Deux, the band still ran through some classic tunes and older cuts. I was happy to see their Christmas classic "Yule Shoot Your Eye Out" make an appearance, and I'd be lying if I didn't admit to pumping my fist along to the entirety of "Chicago is So Two Years Ago." The band went full throttle when they busted out their hit cover of Michael Jackson's "Beat It." Stump's vocal range really shines on the cover, and what band doesn't love to play a favorite cover song? They then surged into their breakout hit, "Sugar We're Going Down," making it the rowdiest and most infectious song of the night.

' Apparently he couldn't see everything wrong with himself, as he compounded his rock balladeering on Carry On, which contained a comatose version of Billie Jean that made Michael Jackson's original seem like alternative macho in comparison.

Michael Jackson News for December 7 2008:

Meeting Jackson was my ‘weirdest experience’: Akon

[SIZE=+0]R&B singer Akon says meeting pop king Michael Jackson was the "weirdest experience" for him and claimed he was eager to get back with Jackson.
The pair had teamed up on the track 'Hold My Hand' but the song was pulled from Akon's new LP after it leaked online, the Contactmusic reported on Sunday.
However, Akon is keen to team up with pop legend once again, but the collaboration can't come soon enough as meeting Jackson was the high point of his career.
"I thought I was going to be (starstruck) on my way there but as soon as we met it was like we knew each other for years. It was the weirdest experience because he knew everything about me, and I knew everything about him. So when we met each other, it was like we knew each other forever...
That was the epitome of my collaboration," Akon told 'Wenn' in an interview. "He only works at a certain time and keeps a lot of stuff hidden. He'll launch it off a certain way and wants to surprise people," the singer added.

lol , i had to laugh at the article calling him fat, lawwd.

Re: December 5 - 7 (Update for December 6, 2008 on post # 35)

its the editors at the end of the day that dictate.and ive seen many a B.S article in supposedly respectable papers, as many as you get in tabloids. they are no different in the way they report on mj as the independent article showed. if they ahve such agendas over sometihng so irrelevent as mj then how do u trust them when it comes to real news

Re: December 5 - 7 (Update for December 7, 2008 on post # 47)

agree 100%. Often, the central newspapers and television channels repeat word for word what is written in tabloids. No serious newspaper is no exception. So sad that cover your name, serious publication repeat this shit. Sorry for English
