Controversial MJ Documentary Leaving Neverland [GENERAL DISCUSSION THREAD]

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

Oh I bet! Anyone that knows very very little about Robson and Safechuck and what they have been up to (it's not like they are similar to R Kelly accusers, can't even be compared) but people that watch this don't know that. So they get this incredibly one-sided view with again not know anything what these two assholes really are about, they get to hear disgusting stories like the one from the Victor book about a marriage between MJ and Safechuck.

Anyone NOT in the know about anything will look at this in disbelief and feel disgusted. They will think to themselves "what sick person would do all this." and of course they get to see the "master of deception" probably with crocodile tears, likely coming off very genuine too. It's absolutely unbelievable how easily HBO just shrugs off what the estate wrote in that letter. I honestly start to doubt if they even read the letter. And I agree with some here, it's not just HBO, AT&T here, there's something bigger at play here.

As for the description of MJ's private parts by Chandler. I'm surprised to read that this isn't a fact, that's very unfortunate. Of course the prosecution was gonna claim years ago that it matched. I don't know all that much about law, but really, if that description had matched MJ would have been in trouble and i REALLY doubt two grand juries would have dismissed it as well then. I wasn't aware that Dan Reed claims in his doc that it matched, sigh. I'm not surprised though, he didn't do any research on R&S, says enough. It's bad though yeah, there are gonna be viewers that eat this up for damn sure.

All we can do is keep posting damning facts about these two assholes on social media and hope that the estate is preparing something.

I hear you.

Dan Reeds first job is to make the viewer believe Chandler was molested, that is key. If he does that convincingly, people will believe the rest of the lies. So of course they are going to use every piece of gossip around the 1993 case to make it STICK.

The reason I am asking for PROOF of the match is that, its very powerful if we could prove that Dan Reed lies completely about Jordans description of MJ genitals. That could sway people if they realize the director blatantly lies about such dooming evidence.

If there was any sense in legal system, a lie like that would have somehow be punishable.

If we can prove by court records that Dan Reed lies about that, it would shoot down his credibility to zero at least - for anyone to see!

Why is this allowed in this forum? It seems anything can be posted about Michael, but we have to tip-toe around the conspirators and their identities? Btw, why are we calling Chandler “Jordy”. He is a grown *** man. His name is JORDAN.

Why is what allowed in this forum?

I don't think the public viewers are going to be very interested in anything about the 1993 case once R and S have spent 3 hours describing their imaginary 'experiences with Michael' in glorious technicolour and 3D detail. This film is all about 'emotion' not facts, remember?

All we can do is keep posting damning facts about these two assholes on social media and hope that the estate is preparing something. And if the estate doesn't do much else anymore.... I just hope after all this has aired on all the networks..it will all ease down again. MJ's music stays on music services, because I really don't see them pulling it. If there's even a slight risk of that, the estate will absolutely step in.

Best case/dream scenario would be that these two ****s, three ****s will get exposed so that they can never pull this kind of shit again. I for one say throw these people behind bars, they don't deserve to be out walking. But if not I hope the worst that is realistically possible for them.
And again, this all will be dissected by others if it gets bigger. This is no longer a depend only on tv anymore. I believe HBO know this is a lie but they think it will bring in ratings even at MJ's expense (I would even say they know this is lies even Dan-certain media outlets he is not talking to them at their request). Again for HBO to turn down a meeting with the Estate is very telling. I hope this backfire in a big way for all of them; and if people examine it the way they should, it will. Do not think putting all of this stuff on other websites, etc is not working. That is why Dan is trying to push the "craz fan" card. It wont work. They will have to take note of the evidence that cleared MJ.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

Well, I just want to give a shout out to the Estate for that splendid scathing letter, complete with every detail on the Robson/Safechuck cases that we could ever want.
They came out with guns blazing on that one and I'm proud.

Jonathan's letter to radar was great as well, and if he talks as well as he writes, he would be a good spokesperson for a rebuttal doc.
He was the lead attorney in these cases after all, and he was pretty sarcastic in some of the news reports I read.
I think the rebuttal doc should be based on this letter and Branca should hire the best investigative journalist he can find to do it. One with a well known and respected name.
Interview tons of people that can back up all the points in this letter. Interview people who spent intimate time with Michael during this so called moderation period: his nephews and nieces, Brad Sundberg, Karen Faye, Lionel and Brenda Richie, the Cascios, Emmanuel, Lots more. I could name hundreds.

I want them to take their time on it too-make it good and thorough. And make sure it's on Netflix.
I disagree that no one would want to watch it-Making a Murderer was quite a social media phenomenon and a good 'Was Michael Jackson Framed' doc could be quite exciting and intriguing.

I'm not one for conspiracy theories, myself and hope that what was said wasn't anti Semitic. People forget that Michael became the most famous person in the world and his name alone generates money. Looking back and growing up with him, it's still astounding that somebody reached that level of fame, but Michael did.
And because if it, people forgot he was a person.
Media (and others) found they could make huge money by just making up any old thing. And the bigger and nastier it got, the more money.
I think race was another reason that many people were only too happy to bring Michael down. Sneddon, for example.

Again, back to the letter, everything is there in one spot. We can use that for counter arguments when the show airs.
I imagine HBO will have a hashtag for it, and probably a page on Facebook and Instagram.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

In the buildup before Wade and Robson starts telling their horror stories Dan Reed brings up the 1993 allegations:

Dan Reed claims falsely in the documentary that Jordy Chandler correctly described Michaels genitals - that makes the audience believe EVEN MORE sure that Michael settled because he was guilty in 1993. I also understand that some of the footage when Michael speaks about the body search where they photographed his penis etc will be shown. (Dan Reed has proudly confirmed that Michael is in the documentary at times)

So Dan Reed is telling the viewers that Jordy correctly described Michaels genitals - meaning Jordy had seen him naked and also molested him per say. Then when the viewers see Michael speaking about the body search and proclaiming his innonence - the viewer will believe he is lying because Dan Reed just said Jordy described Michael genitals correctly. Dan Reeds with this scheme makes Michaels sincere statement of honesty become the opposite.

The 1993 case then becomes a slam dunk when Reed brings in false testimonys/hearsay from perjurers like of the maid seeing Jackson with Jordan in the shower, to corroborate his false claims about Jordy knowing the visuals of Michaels genitals etc.

After that, by the its time for Wade and Safechuck telling their horror stories, the audience will already be convinced of MJs guilt, and therefore wont question the shocking/horrifying pornographic details that are to be the told.
---
If you read Dan Reed interviews, one of the reasons he thinks MJ is guilty is because of the disturbing (but false) storys told by "The neverland 5" for example.

What I fail to understand is, how can Dan Reed be allowed to claim that Jordan got the right description of MJs genitals? By doing that, he is fooling the viewers to find Wade and Robsons graphic stories more credible....

We know that there are no sources available that clearly says Chandlers description of MJs genitals did not match. We have the autopsy report, but we have no court records or statements from lawyers/policen, prosecution or the doctor present. The doctor present at the strip says he could not determine himself it was a match, but was told by some else later that it was a match. We also have Tom Sneddon doing TV interviews in like 1995 where he also claims Jordys description were a match. I think this will be a huge problem.

Are there no court documents about the conclusion on the body search?

This should have been addressed in the estate letter.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

This should have been addressed in the estate letter.
It most likely isn't in the documentary, which is what they based their letter on. He and his little pal, Stinson, are flooding Twitter and Dan's giving pre-showing interviews right and left, making up things. He said Safechuck told him that Michael made sex tapes of them, but conveniently taped over it. He says that like it's fact.

By the way, where is the Estate's letter posted? I actually read it on another forum. I'd like to copy it to my computer, so I can take their points and put in my own words, if I need to rebut something.

Do we actually know that he talks about this in his mockumentary or are we guessing he will? If it's in there, I'm sure that part will before they let R&S speak. Trying to do the biggest damage first basically.

And that is why anyone watching this has to be made aware of who these guys are. Even if we can't prove that Chandler's description didn't match, we can hope that people will use their brains and think "oh, the description matched, yet he didn't face any repercussions for that?" Especially if they're also aware of the two grand juries.

Anyone with half a brain should start to question it then. But only if they know about that beforehand.

But personally I'd like to see something big happen before this trash even airs. We don't know what might be happening behind the scenes now, but what I'd love to see is the estate coming out of left field with a documentary on Netflix or maybe a big TV network, preferably even bigger than HBO. A documentary full of cold hard facts and anything needed to hack it up. Go into full detail about how it all started in the 90s. The extortion attempt by Chandler, show the audio conversation etc.

Go into detail about the maid and the Neverland 5, Arvizo, trial etc. Show the message or let Taj talk about how Michael helped him when Taj had told him about how he was abused by someone on his mother's side. Find a fitting name for the doc. I mean "Was Michael Jackson framed?" is the title of Geraldine's book but it would be perfect for a documentary, even if Leaving Neverland still has to air. MJ has been framed for years on end really.

But what's gonna happen is anyone's guess right now. My guess is that if there's going to be such a documentary it will be after LN has aired. I just hope people will still care after the damage has been done. I just don't know if I have that kind of faith in people. But like people here said, something similar to Making a Murderer would be really good for sure. Hell, if it were possible get Kathleen Zellner on it. The things she managed to unravel that Steven Avery's lawyers didn't are shocking.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

I think many people will care if a well made documentary is made-even if it comes six months or a year later. Yes, name it 'Was Michael Jackson Framed' or 'The Framing of Michael Jackson' or 'The Lynching of Michael Jackson.'
'Making a Murderer was a huge hit that had everybody talking. I even heard all about it, even though I don't have Netflix and didn't watch it.

Nobody seemed to care at all about Michael after 2005-and yes, I know now that he got an ecstatic reception in 2006, but we in the US heard the opposite. He was gone and nobody talked about him anymore.
I was shocked when he appeared to announce TII.

Until his death-and then the outpouring of grief had even the media overwhelmed. They were taken completely off guard by that. A good documentary will do everything to set things right and get people to see things the right way.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

Question: in the Estate's letter to HBO, they mention unnamed "people" that know Robson and Safechuck who don't believe them.

The only people I'm aware of that have made public statements are Scott Ross and Thomas Mesereau, who only ever spoke to Robson at length in '05. Has anyone else come forward against them?

I spent some of my day, again, "clapping back" online at the liars trying to smear
Michael Jackson.
I could do it, because I knew "I was not alone".

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

I hope people continue to wake up and keep questioning everything. I was just lurking on Reddit's front page and there was a (now deleted/locked) thread about him that said he was "probably" guilty. The main text of the post is gone but the preview for it mentioned MJFacts in there. A large chunk of the responses seem to be leaning towards thinking he was guilty, praising MJFacts and the write-up as being good, and hating on fans (one even went as far as to say some fans were actually pedos in disguise). However, there were some who were willing to point out how skewed and messed up some of what OP wrote was and wanted to read more from different sources. There were also some posts that defended Michael in a calm, mature manner, but those were largely ignored or put-down by people.

Granted, this post didn't gain TOO much traction, but just seeing it made me feel sick. I fear what the next few weeks will bring.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

I think it's time for us to do an organized campaign. Set a time and a date when we will all go on twitter and tweet #BoycottHBO and include that we want fair and factual journalism, not tabloid television. And add #JusticeForMichaelJackson too. Let's make #BoycottHBO TREND!!!!!!!!!!!! Any suggestiions on date and time? We need EVERYONE on board WORLD WIDE tweeting!!!

On the night it airs?

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

Didn't Michael address this part about the description of his genitals? If memory serves me he said 'if that was the case, how am I sitting here now talking to you. Or words to that affect.

Reddit can be a great place to check for cool things but can be horrible to discuss something like this. Even if you bring them the facts. MJFacts is nothing but tabloid trash isn't it? I never visited the site and never will because I don't want them to get even more hits but I'm sure most of not all what they say can be rebutted. I'm sure that site claims the story from the maid was true, right? And making no mention of how she actually was a thief and how she admitted to lying about it all, correct?

If those people on Reddit are willing to believe it so easily, I would hope they can have a open mind as well if we post the actual truth about all that. But I kinda doubt it too, there are some real pieces of work there.

Hey, everyone! 😉
I hope you're having a good weekend.

Recently I have received messages in my profile asking me to say some words about a "Documentary" - whose name I will not say because it is a nonsense content - but it was exhibited at a Festival... I have only one thing to say: if those people had any dignity, they would never say such stupid things.
My friend Michael Jackson is TOTTALY INNOCENT. He always was. ❤️

@Amaya

Do you know why the thread was locked? Because discussing things like that are definitely allowed there. Maybe we should make a thread of our own, try to sound as objective and unbiased as possible (which admittedly is hard for me sometimes because I am just so done with this all. I get easily worked up and in turn can make me sound slightly fanatic and I really don't want that.

Also we need to be mindful of what we call a thread like that. Can't be something like MJ is totally innocent but should be more like, was MJ framed after all? Or "MJ was probably innocent".

This doesn't make you sound like a fan, it would more make you sound like someone that had been on the fence but after having done all this research you're starting to see the bigger picture. People don't need to know you're a fan since day one.

It seems like people were getting hostile in there, hence why. Also, the OP claimed that MJFacts wasn't working; apparently a lot of people visited that site and it crashed due to overload. Hmm...

As far as making a thread of our own, I don't have a Reddit account. I just like to read threads from different subreddits; this one just happened to pop up on Reddit's front page while I was scrolling through it (albeit briefly). I get the feeling many in that subreddit wouldn't listen anyway. I did see it getting discussed on the official MJ subreddit where it's being rightfully torn apart, so there's at least that.

Perhaps not the same age but I remember Jennifer Batten denied any inappropriate things between Michael and children like Brett Barnes and Sean Lennon when she was on his three world tours. As a response to Gene Simmons from KISS remarkable claims against Michael. She also was appalled over how her denials did not get as much news coverage as Simmons claims. This was around 2010 I think.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

Hmmm worth watching

We have Guests: Geraldine Hughes and Michael Jackson's Attorney Brian Oxman on the show to talk about the upcoming release of the documentary "Leaving Neverland" where two accusers of Micheal Jackson tells their stories. Geraldine comes forth to set the record straight about what really happened behind the scenes in the 1993 child molestation case against Michael Jackson and Brian Oxman you probably have heard his name mentioned or have seen him in the media. He was one-half of the Michael Jackson defense team originally, along with Mark Geragos. When Attorney Thomas Mesereau, Jr. was asked to join the defense team, he eventually fired Oxman. We talk about the truth behind the scenes and what really happened. Come Join The Conversation.
