They mentioned the anniversary on the country station that I listen to. Nothing major, just a quick mention.

Overall yesterday went better than I thought it would..... I was expecting loads of negativity and bad articles, but despite a handful of anti MJ stuff, the majority of material was actually more on MJ's side. A solid majority of the mainstream media articles acknowledged that the cancel MJ movement failed, and that his music is still incredible. While Leaving Neverland was mentioned most of the time, I will acknowledge that many of the wild end of the world narratives from March seemed to have tamed down a bit. I am happy to see that. Just shows MJ is like Coca-Cola, the Catholic Church, McDonalds, etc. Once something is embedded deep in our cultural roots , its damn near impossible to tear it down.

I hope Taj's documentary doesn't become just a bunch of talking heads. It needs to be investigative and fact based.

I also read that there is suppose to be a documenty from his bodyguard being aired but I have no idea when this is supposed to be, can anyone tell me when this is supposed to be released?

That's my main worry. That it'll just be a bunch of people going "he'd never do anything like that".
The Jacksons don't seem to get it.
Don't go on TV to defend him by saying "I know my brother" or "I know my uncle". That means nothing. nobody cares.
People needed FACTS when you were doing the TV rounds. FACTS!!
Dating Wade for X years does not mean he wasn't abused.
There were plenty of facts available but interview after interview was wasted.
Tell them WADE LIED when he said he didn't know the MJ Estate.
He lied when he deliberately included a story his mom already told him was false.
Tell them the judge called Wade out on his lies!
Tell them he tried to hide a book deal. Tell them the book drafts contradict his legal statements.
Tell them Wade claims to wants to raise awareness but filed UNDER SEAL!!
James (almost certainly) lied when he claimed MJ phoned him toward the end of the trial because his testimony was barred and it didn't make any sense for the defence to use him.
Tell them about James being sued days before he "realised" he was "abused"
They claim they don't want money but tell the media the accusers share the same lawyer who is known for using the media against defendants to force financial settlements!
Then there's the whole Train Station issue!
All of the above are provable facts, NOT speculation. I fail to see why they couldn't have been raised again and again in interviews. What are Wade and James gonna do? Sue? No because everything is provable through legal documents, depositions etc. Everything.
I found myself wanting to shout at the TV when the Jacksons were on TV and all they had to say was "I know my brother".
If the doc is full of that stuff instead of pointing out the facts above (and more!) then I give up.
Most of the jacksons dont care enough to spend time educating themselves. The fans have a huge amount of knowledge because they love mj and want to defend him so actually put the work in.
What ever fiddes says will not help as he is a known liar who will say anything to get attention and had no realtionship with mj bar getting to hangout with mjs real security for a week in june 2002 because of his "friendship" with geller

Yes I agree, but if they don't know then they need to get somebody who DOES know to speak on their behalf.
Frustrating thing was Taj was on Twitter all the time communicating with fans. He KNEW a lot of this stuff but then was almost useless in most interviews he did with TV. He would be talking about the lies and evidence on Twitter and then a couple of hours later appear on TV talking about "I know my uncle", "I spent thousands of hours with him". "I know Wade". "He dated my cousin Brandy" etc. I told him many times TAKE evidence to interviews. Take extracts of court docs. Even if he couldn't show them to the camera as proof, at least he could have them in his hand and say "I have the court documents right here! and wave them around". Theatrical but potentially attention grabbing.
When he was on UK he was totally ineffectual. He looked like a defeated man. When he was on podcasts he was a completely different person with fire in his belly. WHY couldn't he do that on TV??
I really don't understand. He never explained.
As for Fiddes, as long as he doesn't say anything controversial to gain attention (like Mark Lester's favourite topic- sperm donation) I'm not really bothered if he was really MJ's bodyguard or not. Personally I don't think he was but I'm willing to believe the may have stayed in touch for years after the UK visit and so Matt may have some insight. The general public won't know the truth anyway. MJ needs help and there aren't many people offering it publicly.
