Controversial MJ Documentary Leaving Neverland [GENERAL DISCUSSION THREAD]

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

Is maureen talking to her buddy greasy brown

My opinion is that we continue to email Sundance (despite their statement today saying they won’t pull the doc), HBO and Channel 4 to protest the screening of this film and set out clearly why we believe it is wrong to show this, backed up by facts.

However, we also shouldn’t draw more attention to this film publicly. At the moment it’s getting very little attention in the mainstream media. For now at least. People like Stacey Brown will always jump on this bandwagon. There are people such as him who have made careers off of this.

I think our best hope here is that when/if the film is shown it passes with as little attention as possible. Wishful thinking maybe, but Wade’s original allegations back in 2013 and the subsequent lawsuit got very little attention. There is a reason for that.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

My idea was to try and contact Lady Gaga and ask her to help us. Maybe she could buy all the tickets for the Sundance screening. I'm not kidding. Remember when she stated on Ellen that she bought a bunch of MJ clothes, so rich people won't scatter them around. I know it's a long shot, but we can try.

All the tix for this screening are sold. Maybe they were even sold before the announcement (Film festivals often sell 'package' tix, before all the programme has been finalised.)

I do wonder why this entrant into the festival was announced so late....feels deliberate.

Even though there are a few great and monumental pages exposing all the conspiracy and neverending BS stories with factual text/audio/video evidence and court docs, there is a new THE MICHAEL JACKSON INNOCENT PROJECT.
You can add to all your knwon facts and evidence other ones and participate on the project too.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

MJ's settlement was made in the CIVIL trial because that trial was likely to be scheduled sooner than any criminal trial that may take place, and with a lower burden of proof. It had the potential to taint the jury pool for a criminal trial, generating a torrent of negative news reports (in the same way we saw between 03 and 05). To defend a civil trial MJ's lawers would expose much of the same defence tactic, witnesses, testimony, evidence etc that they would need to use in a later criminal trial.

The Settlement was a tactical move to protect himself in the potential criminal trial.
It was a difficult choice and one that MJ was supposedly not happy with.

MJ's people leaked that recording of Evan to the media in an attempt to expose his motives.
In the end there was no civil trial (because of the settlement) and there was no criminal trial (because TWO grand juries rejected the case against MJ).

By the way the settlement of the civil case specifically DID NOT prevent Chandlers cooperating with any criminal trial or investigation.
It was NOT a "Pay off". It was NOT "hush money" - The Chandlers approached MJ for money long before the settlement and he refused to pay. he refused to keep them silent.
the settlement DID not prevent a criminal trial. It DID NOT buy MJ's freedom. It DID NOT guarantee MJ would not go to jail.

Those are all urban myths.

Yep. I knew all that, except for the two grand juries. That is new to and that's huge too. If everyone else knew this they would think very differently of MJ for sure and certainly not be so quick to just place it next to R Kelly, which is absolutely insane to do.

I remember back in 2005 when I started doing research of my own for the first time. I was shocked by all the things I learned and I wanted so goddamn bad for everyone else to see this too. I went to certain forums and posted all this and yet people went "this is all fine and dandy. But do you think it's normal for a grown up man to sleep in the same bed as young children that aren't his own?" when I got those kind of replies I was...done. Some people just don't care.

If only the media would always report truth, things already would have looked very different. Instead we still have some of them making up lies or twisting things around to fit their narrative. So damn sad.

There's so much wrong with this world, with people. I really hope there's something called karma and I hope it hits all these pieces of shit hard when their time comes.

That's what I was afraid of.

Do we have information then who is going to Sundance to protest?

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

Seriously, reading about all those facts again after such a long time and also new things i didn't know about makes wonder so much why the Jackson family hasn't already made a long ass documentary with all these cold hard facts. Freaking eye opening, shocking revelations. Stuff that would make a lot of people that aren't in the knock truly fall off their chair.

Just ****ing make it already!

That's what I was wondering, I can't blame Taj for anything, he is doing the best he can now, but it took something like this to happen for him to start thinking about the documentary. And even if he does finishes it, it will be long after this one.

Anyway, we must encourage fans even more to cancel their HBO membership: on twitter, fb, forums etc. Everywhere.

I don’t know. I think we should stay calm though and if/then the media brings this up (again) and we think this may be an unbiast journalist who just is not aware of facits send email ”the reasons we think Michael Jackson was innocents are as follows” with facits about the Chandlers and Arvizos. If you say we are wrong perhaps you would like to check facts yourself. There has never been any credibility befind this and they would never have got away with it if the media had investigated and maybe some day somebody will.

Believe they added it late because of the success of the R. Kelly doc. It would be nice if people like Raven Woods, Tom, Aphrodite Jones could get tix. They always have discussions after films and this is sure to create huge discussion. That alone will generate a ton of press.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

Yesterday I replied to that Kim and Kanye thing in Facebook and I posted the link to Hannah Kozak's piece. It received several likes and smiley faces, whatever that is for. It's only small, but gotta start somewhere and likely these people (one at first talked shit about MJ) will see things differently now.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

Thank you! This is what needs to be posted again and again in this form or similarly succinctly. The information is out there for the whole world to see, but not everyone cares that deeply about Michael Jackson to actively look for information about him on the internet, so it is nice if fans can put out short statements like this one to counter-punch with facts.
And this is what it is going to take. They can NOT put a doc and think no one is going to come out with the Facts on Wade and James. Look at the RKelly doc, they went in deep but there was nothing to counter it; In MJ's case, there is PLENTY to counter it. Most people are not stupid and good thinking people do think. See what Wade and James have to deal with is the fact that they DEFENDED Jackson all of these years and that is the narriative that has to be pushed along with them suing and lost and now this at a MONEY MAKING EVENT LIKE SUNDANCE. Again, this may turn out to be a blessing for MJ and I am trusting in God it will.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

See, THIS IS THE KIND OF STUFF THAT NEEDS TO BE POSTED when this film come out. Send it to all media outlets/comment sections/facebook/twitter/instagram who talk about doc when it come out.

Michael Jackson, Truth Serum, and False Memories
Press coverage of Michael Jackson omits one key fact.

https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/...ichael-jackson-truth-serum-and-false-memories

In the wake of the recent death and funeral of pop superstar Michael Jackson, many public comments have naturally turned to his, well - rather unusual - life and lifestyle. Some of these comments have been thoughtful, others considerably less so. And a few have been irresponsible. A number of prominent figures, among them New York Congressional Representative Peter King, have recently asserted without qualification that Michael Jackson was a child molester. Over the July 4th weekend, King referred to Jackson as a "pervert," "child molester," and "pedophile." In evaluating these comments, it's crucial to note that Michael Jackson was never found guilty of child molestation, although he settled such charges out of court for millions of dollars.

I do not know whether Michael Jackson ever molested a child. I suspect we will never know for sure (although if I were a betting man, I would bet against it). Clearly, Jackson was guilty of eccentricity, naïveté, and exceedingly poor judgment - such as allowing children into his bed - on multiple occasions. But eccentricity, naïveté, and poor judgment are not against the law.

I do know, however, that recent press coverage of the sexual abuse charges against Jackson has typically omitted one crucial fact. One of the two charges that received the most press coverage surfaced in 1993, when Evan Chandler filed a lawsuit against Jackson for sexually abusing his 13 year old son, Jordan. At the time, the news media reported widely that Jordan Chandler accused Jackson of performing oral sex on him, and that Chandler provided law enforcement authorities with a description of Jackson's genitalia. Eventually, Jackson settled this case out of court for $22 million; some have argued that this settlement is prima facie evidence of his guilt, whereas others have argued that Jackson understandably wanted to avoid a prolonged and emotionally grueling civil trial. I do not know which side is right, so I will withhold judgment on that issue here.

So what crucial fact has most of the press coverage omitted? It's that Jordan Chandler apparently never made any accusations against Jackson until his father, a registered dentist, gave him sodium amytal during a tooth extraction. Only then did Jackson's purported sexual abuse emerge; Jordan Chandler's reports became more elaborated and embellished during a later session with a psychiatrist.

Sodium amytal is a barbiturate and one of the most commonly used variants of what is popularly known as "truth serum," which is a spectacular misnomer. There's no scientific evidence that Sodium amytal or other supposed truth serums increase the accuracy of memories. To the contrary, as psychiatrist August Piper has observed, there's good reason to believe that truth serums merely lower the threshold for reporting virtually all information, both true and false. As a consequence, like other suggestive therapeutic procedures, such as guided imagery, repeated prompting, hypnosis, and journaling, truth serums can actually increase the risk of false memories - memories of events that never occurred, but are held with great conviction.

In fact, because the physiological actions of barbiturates are similar in many ways to that of alcohol, the effects of ingesting Sodium amytal are probably similar to those of imbibing a few stiff drinks. When we're rip-roaring drunk, we're more likely than when sober to say lots of things, only some of them accurate. Moreover, as Piper notes, there's overwhelming evidence that people can distort the truth or lie while under the influence of truth serum.

None of this proves, of course, that Jordan Chandler wasn't sexually abused. But the fact that his reports of abuse apparently surfaced only after the administration of Sodium amytal means that we should view these reports with more than a dose of healthy skepticism.

As always, in evaluating claims of sexual abuse, we need to walk a fine line. We need to be careful not to dismiss any such claims cavalierly, as we know all too well that some of them are true. At the same time, we need to be careful not to jump the gun against the accused, as we also know all too well that some of these claims are false. And of particular relevance to the Jackson case, scientific evidence reminds us to be especially dubious of claims that emerge only after the administration of suggestive memory procedures.

Somebody should inform the Jacksons (LaToya, Jermaine and co)! about STACY BROWN conspiracy fake news articles spreading BS and completely fabricated bs claims, he is co-working with Diane DIAMOND

the Conspirator and selftitled Jackson family friend, Diane Diamond´s informator and co-news faker and MOTHER F**KER STACY BROWN SPREADING BULLS!T.

ackson had always maintained his innocence.

However, many have argued that Jackson admittedly settled at least three multimillion claims made by prepubescent boys and their families. A sheriff’s deputy at his 2005 trial claimed that, when factoring in settlement cash, attorney’s fees, private investigator costs and other fees, Jackson spent more than $200 million to quiet abuse allegations.

His defenders have always pointed out that Jackson’s accusers were after money or fame themselves and could not be trusted.

It was that theme that helped attorney Tom Mesereau successfully defend Jackson in his 2005 case in California. Mesereau famously referred to the accuser and his family as “grifters,” looking for a handout.

No one in the Jackson camp returned messages on Wednesday.

It should be noted that the accuser in that case has always maintained he was molested and, despite financial hardships, his family never attempted to sue Jackson.

The accuser went on to graduate college and get married.

Guys, comment his bs claims and unbelievably faked report...:

When you know you lie and people keep bring the topic up to you will soon break you down.

Jermaine Jackson Petitions to Get ‘Leaving Neverland’ Doc Shelved

49848575_2033045280111806_1743924943160082432_n.jpg

As the masses continue to feel the impact of Lifetime docuseries Surviving R. Kelly, Sundance is gearing up for the release of a controversial doc of its own focused on late singer Michael Jackson.

Leaving Neverland will tell the story of two men who were allegedly sexually abused by the icon at the ages of 7 and 10.

“When allegations of sexual abuse by Jackson involving young boys surfaced in 1993, many found it hard to believe that the King of Pop could be guilty of such unspeakable acts,” according to a press release from Sundance. “In separate but parallel stories that echo one another, two boys were each befriended by Jackson, who invited them into his singular and wondrous world. Seduced by the singer’s fairy-tale existence and enthralled by their relationship with him, both boys’ families were blind to the manipulation and abuse that he would ultimately subject them to. Through gut-wrenching interviews with the now-adult men and their families, Leaving Neverland crafts a portrait of sustained exploitation and deception, documenting the power of celebrity that allowed a revered figure to infiltrate the lives of starstruck children and their parents.”

The Jackson family is working to get the two-part documentary shelved, with brother Jermaine issuing a lengthy statement on Facebook along with a link to a petition.

“A documentary titled Leaving Neverland is planned to be shown to 40,000 people at the Sundance Film Festival. The producer of the film is Dan Reed. This film is based on the falsified claims of molestation by the hands of Michael Jackson,” Jermaine wrote. “As Michael’s innocence was proven by a court of law and a 10 year FBI investigation, this is legally considered defamation of character. This mendacious documentary should NOT see the light of day.”

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

Anyway, we must encourage fans even more to cancel their HBO membership: on twitter, fb, forums etc. Everywhere.

I was thinking what about if in addition to all the current initiatives we try to instigate an advertiser boycott if or when Channel 4 (or everybody else) will air the doc? MJ fam is really big, we have strength in numbers, we can boycott every single brand all over the world.
