I wish I could go.. Too bad only my planeticket would be hell which would mean I wouldnt eat or sleep anywhere until my flight back:lol:It looks really magical too. Will it really be for a year or so?

^^If people including tourists continue to buy tickets to see this show, it could go on for years. Hopefully Cirque & Estate continue to advertise it so people visiting Vegas will buy tickets. Each year many of the same activities repeat themselves in Vegas, like the rodeo show which attract thousands of people, so good advertising will make more people aware of this show and attend.

I live in Canada, I am going t try to come to Vegas just for this show. Let's see what my tax return is like! I have mentioned before that Immortal triggered a whole journey of self discovery for me. Although it's been a roller coaster, I'd give anything to be there on May 23rd. I feel I would really appreciate it on a whole new level. I hope it isn't already sold out. Anybody else gong?

I can't believe that When I saw Immortal LAST JUNE I didn't even know some of the songs, and there were even some that I knew but didn't know that they were his! What a world of change that show brought to my life, I wish I could thank them.

Thank you for this, I was lucky enough to see Immortal once. I can imagine that not many others would say this, but for me, it was nothing short of life changing. And no, I'm not exaggerating. In my eyes, it is anything but lame. I would LOVE to have a DVD so I can relive it at home :heart:

Cirque's new Michael Jackson show

Cirque du Soleil's second partnership with the estate of Michael Jackson aims to be a thriller.

Cirque's Welby Altidor tells USA TODAY thatMichael Jackson ONEwill begin performances May 23 and take up residency at the renovated theater atMandalay Bay Resort & Casino. The official grand opening is planned for late June.

The 90-minute show will feature five dozen cast members, from dancers to acrobats, and offer "a very close encounter with the music of Michael Jackson" and with the late pop icon's artistic vision, Altidor, "director of creation" for ONE, says. No one will play the late star.

Unlike Cirque's current touring arena Jackson show, IMMORTAL, the Mandalay Bay production will be more intimate and interactive, Altidor says. "It's another story about Michael's genius," focusing on his No. 1 hits. "There will be experiences above (the audience), on the side and in the front."

Cirque had what Altidor calls "unprecedented access" to Jackson's master recordings and will use them. "At times it will feel like being in the studio with Michael," he says.

I can't afford a place to stay either, I'll be relying on couchsurfing.com, it's always an option! There is also a close enough hostle, but I think I would never sleep, there are bound to be partying students all night.

It depends how adventurous you are, if you like meetting new people you might not have met otherwise, it's great. People offer spare couches or beds to ttravelers, you can stay tthere for free. You can check their ratings on thee website to see how many people have stayed with them before. I think it's so nice, people open up their homes and help people and all the get in return is the pleasure meeting someone new and spending an evening with them. But it isn't for everyone. I have never done it, it will be a first time for me :)

This isn't ment as some kind of advertisement for couchsurfing, just letting people know there are other options as well as hostles available for those who want to see MJOne but can't afford hotel expenses.

Have the started advertising this on buses/tv yet. I know when immortal was in New York, I saw big signs on the tour buses.
