Cirque du Soleil 'Michael Jackson ONE' permanent Las Vegas show

We sat in the middle on the upper level and had a great view. The only downside I can think of is that A) They're kinda expensive (not as much as floor seats, though, if I recall), and B) You miss out on interacting with the dancers that come down the aisles during certain segments of the show, unless they did that on the upper level and I just forgot. >.>

Hey, brother. Visited from Scotland as well back in 2014 and asked this exact question.

My advice is get tickets right at the back. I know that sounds crazy but I want you to know this stage is HUGE. And it's not JUST the stage that makes this show special, there are big massive screens either side of the stage and the screens aren't depiciting what's happening on stage they are part of the overall performance - often times it's Michael on those screens and, if you're anything like me, you'll be transfixed to him more often than what's going on on stage.

If you're way down the front in those VERY expensive seats, you'll lose a lot of that visual information, save for physically turning your head to see it.

If I was going again I would sit in the exact same place which as I recall were the 2nd lowest price tier of tickets. So middle back basically. I bought my tickets from ticketmaster way in advance as the day I was due to arrive in Vegas was the last day the show was on - it was stopping for a Christmas break or something. I was worried if I missed that performance I would miss it entirely. So I can't advise you on where in Vegas to get tickets though I do remember seeing the discount sellers selling tickets for less popular shows than MJ One.

There's lots of great stuff in the shop and plenty of photo ops in the foyer prior to the show so get there early and soak up the atmosphere. You can also get an MJ themed cocktail at the bar and if you buy it large you get a souvenir MJ One cup to keep.

Thanks -that's really helpful. Those seats look great. I'll look at Ticketmaster in the next day or two and get the tickets booked.

First row middle upper let's you see everything, particularly the beautiful aerial work as performers drop down from the rafters over the floor seats. For interaction, floor seats are great. You'll get grabbed from behind during Thriller in the last rows or have them dance right next to you in the aisles, letting you see the fabulous costumes and makeup up-close.

Seriously though there's no bad seat in the house. I've checked them all out. You do miss out on stuff though going on off stage if you're up close but the payoff there is seeing the onstage action so clearly.

I'd agree with that. Although the seating plan looks big, once you're inside the theatre it feels much smaller. Every seat is a good seat one way or another.

I'm sure when I booked my Vegas trip there wasn't tickets available for One. They eventually appeared on ticketmaster. I think they release tickets in batches and as time goes on more dates become available for purchase.

Is it worth the money? I was attending the Immortal tour and wondering if this stands out from it?
 
Oh it stands out from it, very much so. I´ve seen both and I´ve seen One twice. You really need to see it.

It's a great show and while I loved Immortal, One stands out. The energy is so high and the music just gets into you in the smaller setting ( for me anyway) more so than it did in a larger venue.

With Michael’s birthday falling on a Monday this year, the Estate of Michael Jackson and Cirque du Soleil decided to make the 4th annual Michael Jackson ONE celebration in honor of the King of Pop’s birthday a three day affair starting on Saturday, August 27.

There will be a special meet and greet with members of the Estate team and other special guests before the 7pm performance on each of Saturday, Sunday and, of course, Monday night. And each meet and greet will offer something unique. During the meet and greet on Saturday evening, the Estate, joined by members of the Michael Jackson ONE cast, will reveal a change to the décor of the theater lobby that will be seen for the first time by those attending that evening’s performances.More details about what that change is and on the other two meet and greet events will be posted in the coming weeks.

And for the afternoon of Michael’s birthday, there will be a book signing hosted by the Michael Jackson ONE Boutique, a special performance by the Michael Jackson ONE cast in the theater and a super special activity that gives a few very lucky Michael Jackson fans an opportunity to display their knowledge of Michael’s music. There will also be a special Michael Jackson ONE Commemorative Ticket for these shows that guests will be able to keep as a souvenir. More details on Monday afternoon’s activities and how to be chosen as one of those lucky fans will be coming soon.

The book recounts Michael Bush’s experiences working with Michael Jackson and offers an in-depth behind-the-scenes look at the creation of some of the clothes Bush and his partner, Dennis Tompkins, created for Michael to wear, both on and off the stage.

I was just at the show on Monday, it's a wonderful show its beautiful and the statue is absolutely stunning! Their is just one flaw with the show and I really wish they'd change but it gets a good reaction for the crowd, the hologram. It's terrible everything he does is quite the opposite of what Michael does and he moves differently (mirroring Michael). You won't really pay attention to the back up dancer's when Michael was onstage but this hologram was as good as the dancers up on stage. I give it a 9/10



 
I thought the overall effect of the hologram was done well enough that I was able to overlook the fact that the moves were clearly a poor impersonation.

The Estate of Michael Jackson and Michael Jackson ONE are kicking off a three-day birthday celebration in honor of the King of Pop.

It's happening on Aug. 27 at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. They will unveil a spectacular, iconic piece of Michael Jackson memorabilia, the fourth to be loaned by the Estate and installed at Mandalay Bay.

The unveiling will take place just prior to the 7 p.m. performance that evening. During the unveiling ceremony, which will take place at an exclusive meet-and-greet from 5:30 to 6 p.m. with members of the Estate and surprise guests, patrons with tickets to the show will have the opportunity to witness the live reveal of this historic, one-of-a-kind piece.

This event is open only to those with tickets to Michael Jackson ONE during the King of Pop’s birthday celebration August 27-29.

Guests who attend performances on those days will also receive exclusive access to the various festivities all three days including on Michael Jackson’s birthday.
 
I'm going to be going back to Vegas next weekend to celebrate Michael's birthday with the MJ One show on Sunday and going to see an amazing tribute artist for the actual day. We seen them both last year and had to get back with @amaya to see it again! So can't wait XD
 
Have a great time! This year will be so special with the additional events and the statute.

As for the new item to be displayed, this is purely a guess but their doing a re-design of the lobby in the theatre aren't they? Perhaps (and its purely guesswork on my part) its something they will incorporate into that.
