Oprah Winfrey treats six students to ‘Michael Jackson One’ and ‘O’

Television titan Oprah Winfrey on Saturday night treated six students from her South African school to an evening in Las Vegas, where they celebrated the 21st birthday of one of the girls at two shows on the Strip.
At 7 p.m., the group kicked off the celebration at Mandalay Bay, where they attended “Michael Jackson One” by Cirque du Soleil. T
hroughout the performance, Winfrey and the students danced in their seats to the production based on the music of the late King of Pop.
After “Michael Jackson One,” the group went backstage, where the cast welcomed them with cheers and shouts of “Happy Birthday.” Before posing for photographs, Winfrey praised the cast, saying, “That was the best show I’ve ever seen,” and “I’ve never seen anything like that before.”
Winfrey was blown away by the special effects during “Man in the Mirror,” raving about the stunning hologram after the show. “That was wicked! I can’t wait to tell everyone about this show,” she said.
After the photo session, Winfrey hugged Valerie Kimani, calling the singer a goddess, and Trent Jeray, the soloist in the “Human Nature” act.
Winfrey then took her students up the Strip to Bellagio, where they watched Cirque’s aquatic spectacular “O.”
