Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here?

Well, I'm still kinda confused, because I don't know if this is what's supposed to be or not, and on how to know if I should date the person or not, even though we're getting to know each other. It's all really confusing to me. :(

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here?

Dating is how you get to know the person too, Jaye. Hang in there.

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here?

:) It's just all new to me...something I've never really done before...yeah, I've been on a few dates, but to the county fair and the movies. I'm just not sure. I'm nervous, but I know to be myself and have a good time. Agh!

Relax, Jaye. All will go okay!!!

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here?

We had a good conversation tonight. We're doing it again tomorrow, but we'll probably be in my room since it'll be easier and my roomie will be gone.

2 more finals!!!

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here?

I finished my English final! Thank God.

I pray I passed my class.

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here?

Hah. We had funny game this morning during English lesson. There was some famous person's name in pupil's back and then pupil had to ask everyone else questions like: "Am I male?" and so on.

And guess who was my first famous person? Michael Jackson! :D

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here?

One of my best friends (whose wedding I was in in August) will not have a job after this month due to the economy. Her dad works at the same place, so I hope the same thing doesn't happen to him. I'm praying for her. She's asked for prayers as well. I hope she can find a job very soon. :(

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here?

Jaye, I am sorry she lost her job. I hope something else comes her way soon.

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here?

Too bad. :( Hope she'll be fine.

People, it's my birthday today! :) 16 years. It's hard to get used to that. But today is very busy day - I should be in bank now. Then I must return few papers that I get my wage and then I have to be in church ready to do my role. 1½ hours left. And I still have to wait for my father and he's not here yet. Argh! I get very stressed if I'm busy.

Wonderful evening yesterday. :) Watching stars but I wonder where is the moon!

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here?

^ Aww happy 16th birthday! :huggy: Enjoy your day, it's beautiful weather, too! :)

Maybe the moon disappears this time of the year, like sun? (and maybe I should know this, but I don't.. )

Ahh, almost Christmas.. can't wait! I wish that athmosphere lasted the whole year.. but for some reason it only appears on Christmas time, at least in my family..

That's funny coincidence..

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here?

We are supposed to have a lot of snow late Friday night into Saturday. I can't wait.

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here?

I'll celebrate it but not for religious reasons.
My old church wanted me to be a angel in their play. I didn't want to be. So for a week I prayed really hard & what happened mum & I arrived a lil late & the angel role was passed on.
Just been studying my bible a lot this year & my views on Christmas have changed.
It's hard cause the churches I attend/in contact with all celebrate Christmas for religion. Only church that shares my view kind of is Mormon but I don't believe in all their ways. Tra la la la.
Think I might make my own denomination lol.

I'm confused by this post. Christmas is celebrating the Birth of Christ. Without Jesus being born Christmas wouldn't exist. So, what has changed??
What I sick and tired of is the commercialism of Christmas. Now THAT is sickening!

We're supposed to get some snow, but I don't know how much. I wanna go sledding!!!
The last time a friend called me to go sledding, I had the stomach flu and was stuck in bed. I wanna sled, darn it!

The leaders of The Navigators, a Christian college group that I'm in, challenged us to memorize a list of different Scripture passages over break. I hope I can memorize some of them, maybe all. Pray for me as I try doing this and that it leads me closer to the Lord. :)

personally, i always found that waiting till i'm compelled to open the Bible worked wonders for me, as opposed to trying to read it like studying for finals. being 'compelled' to read it has a certain ring to it. then, later in life, things would happen to me, and appropriate scriptures would come to mind. there's a full-of-life feeling that comes from waiting to be compelled..even though there may not be a set pattern to when i opened the Bible. it felt like God was not into 'practicing' but into 'randomness'. no way am i suggesting that you ignore your study instructions that your teachers gave you...i'm just saying that, somewhere in leisure time..IF you are compelled,...you never know..IDK..

if not compelled..i don't think of it as laziness, though i felt lazy at times, because i stopped studying according to patterns that teachers and preachers used to tell me about doing. it's just that, the Bible didn't really start applying to my life, till i left the church and naturally lost interest in the Bible. that's when it hit me, and i started getting interested, for real. and that's when the Bible came alive for me. and that 'new form' of studying became acquainted with me.(as opposed to me becoming acquainted with it)(yes, it was like the Bible was now coming to me, instead of me trying to come to the Bible.) i imagine i'm trying to say, that i had a hard time treating the Bible like a regular book.

now, when scriptures come to my mind, the number and book of the Bible does not come to my mind. just the words of the scripture. so, i started using key words and googling, and that's how i found the books and the numbers of those scriptures. for me, typed in 'autorized king james bible simple searches' every time a key phrase or entire scripture came to mind. and that's how i find scriptures, today. for me, personally, i became dissolussioned (sp) with how people were treating each other in churches i was in, so i left. but then, it became easier to keep my relationship with Christ, after i left, too.

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here?

I've gotta admit you friends that I figured out that I believe in God when I was in bathroom. :D

Now I'm 16. Kind of hard to believe. I had so busy day yesterday - school, bank, fellowship hall (I don't know is that right word but anyway) and then church. 2½ in church. We had practise for today's and tomorrow's play. Oh man. 3½ hours for that.

I don't know Hanna is weather very beautiful. Of course it's white and so on but it's very cold. Walking outside with girlfriend and there's like -20... eh. Oh well, my cheeks only get cold but anyway.

Hi, Michelle!!!

Today Friday and tomorrow Saturday, but I bet it will still be here for Christmas, as we are supposed to get between 10 and 15 inches.

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here?

It's snowing hard here. Yay!!! The Lord answered my prayers for a white Christmas, as we are getting up to 2 feet, so it will be around for Christmas. YAY!!!

Not good for hubby and I. :( We want to drive up to New York to see my family and if it's that bad all over we're not going to. We also need to split the driving. He can't drive in snow like that. Only I can seeing that I've done it and hubby never has because he's from the south. Do you know if it's supposed to be bad on I-95? I think that's the way we will go through Virginia.
