Did we get Ahmir Thompson 'Questlove' from The Roots ? supports and outspoken about it.

I believe Foo Fighters support Michael, as did Kurt Cobain.

but .. .) Kurt Cobain replied to allegations against Michael Jackson in a 1993 MTV interview: “We no have right to even… I think it’s ridiculous, it’s a waste of time.”

“So, are the authorities calling Michael back to the States? Is he actually breaking the law right now?”

“Like he isn’t [a fugitive]. So what’s the big deal? He has all the right to be away until then.”


Both David grolh and Kurt wore that same mj t shirt , Taylor Hawkins who has recently passed supported Michael (and the jackson 5 ) too.

Yes, many actors 'got' him, as well. There was no mystery, they just knew. Like the rock peeps. They also knew. And quite a few dancers also. Carlos Acosta, Akram Khan, to name but two.

Kurt did say this and he also said he felt sorry for Michael.

I'm not sure I'd use it as proof of massive support, tho' (and you probably didn't mean to suggest that). I haven't watched that interview in the longest time but it was a typical rock band interview.

IIRC, they weren't being asked about Michael's innocence, they were being asked about the media uproar about the allegations and they were more indignant about the 'system', The Man, the media nonsense around Michael. I'm not saying they weren't sympathetic, I think they were but the interview itself was all over the place. So there is no definite, coherent defence of Michael being offered up. I think the t-shirts are probably a more meaningful statement, lol. Those photos would have had way more impact than anything the band could actually say, imo.

Absolutely love this! I love Michael J. Fox, so genuine too. I'm literally geeking out over his tank top *so side tracked lol :ROFLMAO:* I loved Lisa Frank as a kid growing up and still do lol!

It's absolutely cool how even folks like him were just in awe over Michael, but in such a very understanding way and yet had an influence as well.

I love this although I do sometimes fantasise about a world where Michael didn't always have to be compared to Prince. I know Babyface wasn't doing it - he was being rightly resistant to that whole narrative - but it comes up all the time and it's tiresome and tiring.

I 100% agree with you. I feel Michael was pretty much in his own league in all ways. Tbh, I sort of feel that's what Babyface was trying to say. But I don't want to get into that more lol.

Regardless, I just love Babyface's whole response and how he referred to Michael as magical. He is so correct too. The fact that Michael is constantly getting new fans of all ages says so much. His talent eclipses the world. His magic is undeniable.
