Can CHRIS BROWN still become the next MICHAEL JACKSON? With the King of Pop gone there is a void in music that must be filled. Although no one can ever fill his glittery socks and loafers, someone must take over where he left off.
Many have said Chris Brown is the Michael Jackson of our generation. To his credit, over the years Chris Brown has proved his star power is not to be underestimated.
While C-Breezy has experienced some set backs, all it took was one song to take him back to the top of the charts.
Teaming up with Tyga of Young Money and Kevin McCall on “Deuces,” the three had the number one hit of 2010. He recently perform on the Today Show and broke a record of 18,000 fans who came out to watch him rip the stage. F.A.M.E ,which is Breezy’s latest album, sold 270,000 copies in its first week and is currently certified Gold by the RIAA.
Let’s not forget that he dominated the 2011 BET Awards taking home the most trophies and performed an amazing Michael Jackson tribute at the 2010 BET Awards. Obviously, we all know that The King Of Pop put up sales numbers that no one will ever touch, but by today’s music standards, Chris Brown is currently 10 steps ahead of his competition. At only 22 years old Chris Brown has more than enough time to practice his craft and take his talents to the next level. I think it is safe to say he has yet to reach his prime and can still pull a few tricks from his sleeve.
But I ask you guys today: Can Chris Brown still become the next Michael Jackson?
