I agree 100%, I wrote this in my post too (look back at it, you will see ) , it's a combination of Michael's vocals and an impostor's vocals. The reason why this happened IMO is because some of the fake songs were more finished (MJ laid more vocals down for those songs) than others, therefore some of the fake songs sound more like MJ than others. They worked with the vocals of MJ they had and filled the rest with an impostor's vocals. However completely unacceptable, nobody wants an MJ song which is 90% not him singing on it.i agree except i can hear an impostor and mj in carry on
I've just checked, no matter how many times I click I can't get through to the page with the message board, I just get a page advertising the This Is It "soundtrack"
"He wound up staying with the Cascios from August until November. And during that time, with nothing else to do, he listened to the couple's son, Eddie, record with a singer named Bobby Ewing. Eddie's brother, Frank, had helped write and produce the Ewing tracks. They asked: Why not erase the vocals and have Michael sing over them? Michael agreed. When it was done, Eddie Cascio put away the tapes. No one ever discussed it again."
michaeljackson.com has gone back in time a year.

No because it is technically sung by Michael, albeit about 5% of the track. They haven't made a specific claim about the vocals like saying it's 100% him. However, [if] they have used an impersonator, like Jason Malachi, they will have to credit him unless he asks not to be.Isn't that illegal or something for Sony to claim that Breakin News is sung by Michael when it's not? I don't get.

This is what I think too... The Michael Vocals are great.
i agree n i think ur theory is right...i can hear him clearer in carry on than in breaking news but then it keeps swapping back to the impostor x like u say even if theres 1% someone other than mj its a fake in my opinion - if someone is claiming or pretending to be our michael...all thats left to question now is was it the cascios or sony who hired the impostor????I agree 100%, I wrote this in my post too (look back at it, you will see ) , it's a combination of Michael's vocals and an impostor's vocals. Does anyone mind sending me the snippets also?
At the beginning it sounds like Michael but then with "We're almost there..." it's definitely not Michael, imo.
This was brought up by DeeEmAych yesterday (http://www.mjjcommunity.com/forum/showpost.php?p=3055710&postcount=893) but I've come to similar conclusions separately. Not sure if it's come up today as 50 pages have sprouted up in the last couple of hours! See what you think...
According to JacksonVillage (via Maximum-Jackson), the credits for Breaking News are: Michael Jackson, Eddie Cascio, Frank Cascio, Bobby Ewing, Teddy Riley, John McClain.

But who is Bobby Ewing?
Showbiz411 and Roger Friedman report that Breaking News was written by Michael Jackson, Eddie Cascio and Bobby Ewing. They also mention Bobby Ewing and James Porte as one and the same, though I've only seen a small amount of info on a James Porte and I'm not necessarily convinced it's the same guy.

Friedman says in another article that the songs sung were originally Bobby Ewing's, written with Frank Cascio, but that they then recorded over vocals with Michael's. Perhaps they were always intended as demos for MJ.

I've found a Bobby Ewing found on Last.FM. His manager is none other than Frank Dileo - see management under 'more information' on the right hand column.

His only track of real note is Exotic Dancer, a promo-only track that is a take on Pussycat Dolls' Buttons, produced by Polow Da Don. Polow worked on the Dancing Machine mix on The Remix Suite last year.

Could it be that Bobby Ewing is one of the singers on Breaking News, Dileo giving his new act a leg-up by getting him involved in the project while MJ was still alive, and now he has been brought back in to finish what was started alongside him? It's not the first time that Dileo has been involved post-death; he was part of the team on This Is It too.
Strangely, his Last.FM biography was edited (to be cleared?) on Sunday night according to the list of activity on his Last.FM profile, hours before Breaking News was released. His MySpace account is also now defunct, though when that happened is uncertain.

Any thoughts?
I'm having no trouble bringing up the Breaking News page on michaeljackson.com. Wonder why other folks are? (Not that I want to hear it!) Just hoping for some fresh news or admission by Sony/Estate.
Me too. We've entered a Sony-deception-plot-thickens-shit-is-going-down time warp.
loool.
may be they realised what they've done and now want to turn the time back?
 :lol:I have a theory. They're about to re-launch the TII soundtrack with Jason Malachi singing all the songs. Oooo! I can't wait to hear his heartfelt reading of Planet Earth! :wild:
