Re: Brad Sundberg seminars: Making Music With Michael Jackson
Latest from Brad;
In The Studio With Michael Jackson
OK, we have a lot of fun here (I hope), but every now and then someone sends me something that makes me pause for a moment. Today, that happened twice.
First, my friend Joe Vogel took a few minutes out of his crazy schedule to share a few words about my seminar.
"Brad's seminars offer a fascinating, eye (and ear)-opening experience, in which genuine insights about Michael Jackson as an artist, a person and a friend, are revealed. I thoroughly enjoyed the warm, conversational approach and the deep well of materials. There were several goosebump moments. Brad puts you right there, inside the studio in those eras, and shows how the magic was made. I couldn't recommend it more to both fans of Jackson and anyone who cares about music."

Good grief Joe... that's amazingly kind of you to write, and I am humbled and pleased that you "got it".
Then, just a little while ago, a very dear friend sent me a demo from the Dangerous album I had never heard before. Well... let me rephrase that - I had likely not heard for more than 25 years. How is that even possible? Anyway, I have listened to it three times and it will be folded into my upcoming seminar series.
It is weird (for lack of a much more appropriate word) how familiar and comfortable it is to hear Michael sing a demo. You can hear him finding his way around a song, like kid riding a bike through a small town, exploring streets and shops he has not seen before. (I don't know if that makes sense, but it's what comes to mind).
Amsterdam - maybe we should do an evening of "Just the demos and early mixes" the night before the seminar. What do you think? Pile into a studio and kick off our shoes and play some music. Let me think about it.
LA ticket holders - you'll be hearing from me in a day or so about ticket upgrades. You have been very patient, and we are moving as quickly as we can to accommodate you. I will have more announcements coming over the next few days.
Have a great week - and thanks for your friendship and support.

>We are looking very seriously at adding a "demos and early mixes" evening in Amsterdam on April 18th. I am waiting to hear back from the studio to work out the details. No script, no shoes, just hanging out and digging through some fun mixes. Beer and pizza might be required.
Happy Tuesday...
