Jermaine Jackson is shooting a BRAND NEW music video for the Jackson 5 song "Blame it on the Boogie" -- problem is, he's missing four Jacksons ... and it's not 1978 anymore.

The 56-year-old was putting the video together earlier this week in Venice, CA.

FUN FACT: When "Boogie" came out in 1978, Jermaine wasn't even in the band anymore ... he had been replaced by his brother Randy.

The song is great, but Jermaine.... should compose and record his own songs...

the song was originally written and composed by Mick Jackson.

I personally dnt see the point. I think Jermaine still has hang ups about leaving the group (on his own) back in the day..I simply dnt see the point in this.

Jermaine has always been filled with jealousy, greed and evil towards MJ. Jerm will never be MJ ....Jerm lacks quality of character and talent...MJ already said Jerm gets death penalty and Halima life in prison, gangster bonnie and clyde...

I really wish someone would tell Jermaine the truth and tell him that he can't dance. Seriously, I have a three years old cousin who can dance better than him. Someone tell him to go back to his bass in practice on that. That would at least make him different to Michael in some ways.

Also, sing your own freaking songs. Stop covering Michael or the Jacksons, a band you wasn't even in because you were sucking to be Gordy. You don't have rang or the vocal control to be singing these types of songs. Stick to what you are actually good at like R&B or soulful ballets. Make your own path, stopped riding Michael's coattails. They are taking you straight into a wall.

Jermaine seems to be hung up on "Blame it On The Boogie." Why is he so obsessed with this song!!!!!! At least he is trying to make a living, somewhat.

He looks so freakin' awkward. You'd never guess he's related to MJ and has been in the biz for 40 years.

Poor Jerma. You know what I find pitiful is that since Michael was 9, they saw his star quality and how the crowds screamed when Michael began to sing, so they lived with Michael's star talent all their lives. Now why when you are 60 you try and do exactly what Michael did? This will only show a audience how lacking in ability you are, since they will compare your style and talent to Michael's. It is best for him to do the songs that were made for his voice range, and as you guys said, play his guitar. In the J5 the dancers were mainly Michael, Jackie and Marlon, but Michael and Marlon were the star dancers. Of course Michael was the best. Jerma was not a dancer at all. He and Tito were very stiff on stage and mainly played instruments. Even Randy could not move. Take a look at an episode with them on Carol Burnette, and you will see how stiff they are.

The thing is that Jerma want to do songs that are associated with Michael so he can make more money by appealing to Michael's fans, so those of you who are diehard Jackson fans will have many products to look forward to.
