I guess another way to guess which album is the best is through using Itunes star systems. I rate from 1 to 5 and 1 is a rubbish jam I get rid of, 2 is very average, 3 is decent, 4 is a good song I listen to a lot and 5 stars is a song I really love.
For solo albums I have included only original release songs and not remixes or additional later tracks or stuff from 25 and special versions as often this stuff will lower the average mark.
Off the wall: 5 songs at 5 stars, 5 songs at 4 stars, Average scorce 4.5 stars
Thriller: 5 songs at 5 stars, 4 at 4 stars, (Don't include Vincent Price Segue) average 4.44 stars
Bad: 6 songs at 5 stars, 5 songs at 4 stars (Includes Leave me alone, which was not included on original vinyl album), Average 4.54 stars
Dangerous: 7 songs at 5 stars, 6 songs at 4 stars, 1 song at 3 stars (Gone too soon), Average 4.43 stars
History Continues: 4 songs at 5 stars, 5 songs at 4 stars, 5 songs at 3 stars, 1 song at 2 stars(Childhood), Average 4.03 stars
Blood on the dancefloor(5 new songs only): 2 songs at 5 stars, 2 songs at 4 stars, 1 song at 3 stars. Average 4.20 stars
Invincible: (Only have 3 tracks) 1 song at 5 stars, 2 at 4 stars, Average 4.33 stars for 3 tracks
Michael: 1 song at 5 stars, 1 song at 4 stars, 7 songs at 3 stars, 1 song at 2 stars, Average 3.10 stars
Xscape deluxe version: 7 songs at 5 stars, 8 songs at 4 stars, 2 songs at 3 stars, Average 4.27 stars (This may drop slightly as newness of it wears off)
So new order
1. Bad 4.54 stars
2. Off the Wall 4.50 stars
3. Thriller 4.44 stars
4. Dangerous 4.43 stars
Absolutely nothing in these 4, although its 4, Dangerous is #1 in my eyes, as the 5's are better than the 5's on the other albums. All of these albums are 4 and 5 star songs in equal measure except the 3 star Gone too soon on Dangerous which dragged its mark down.
5. Invincible 4.33 stars - but its only the 3 songs I have regarded as amongst the best, actual mark from all the jams would be lower.
6. Xscape 4.27 stars - deluxe version of 17 songs, would even be higher from original 8 songs (4.50)
7. Blood on the dancefloor 4.20 stars - 5 songs only, the mixes would drag it down
8. History 4.04 stars, a lot of 3 star and 2 star songs drag it down
9. Michael 3.10 stars, a lot of average barely there jams.
