It doesn't make any sense to be released 2015/2016... this year is Bad 25th, that's why our hopes are high... if they don't release it this year, then i guess it will never be released...

Sorry, but no. I won't support such thing.
Rolling stones, U2 and others are getting blu-ray after blu-ray releases.
estate/sony is "fooling" us with the same old junk over and over. they need to learn.
they have material for blu-ray's. just need to sit and make good job.
Also not only fans but everyone is hungry for blu-ray of his videos.
Moonwalker was a good start.

Not gonna support it if we get DVD. This is 2012 and they can't have that little money.

But do we even know the concerts were filmed on a formet that would be capable of producing an HD copy? If something was filmed on an VHS recorder, you can't get HD from that.

Yes, watch 'Man In The Mirror' on the 'Moonwalker' Bluray. It was shot on film. I don't think only that song was shot on film, that would be a waste an expensive medium.

no it would be a waste to record a concert when they only wanted to have that song in the film, I think they probably just set up for that shot, they probably have bits and pieces of concerts but a complete one on film, i doubt.


they could probably release a blu ray but it would more than likely have a 4:3 ratio and not be widescreen.

well it was "confirmed" from people who worked at the time at the tour and also by the company (Noctrum???) that filmed the tour, that few dates were shot on film. Also that two of the wembley concerts have been professionaly audio mixed.
Look in the two big discussion threads about the bad tour. there was also snippets of the audios uploaded.

So what, many movies are released in their OAR 4:3. the importance is how the transfer is done. the cropping on Moonwalker wasn't bad at all.

WOW...

That rehearsal footage of SC was GREAT! - A shame the Lounis Production watermark is so big. - But still - great quality! Are the any more rehearsal footage like this from the BWT ?

We need something for Bad 25. We must get something. If Sony doesn't get it together and release a Blu-Ray top of the line Bad everything - there is going to be some seriously pissed fans.

In the end of the day, it's up to the Estate. If the Estate don't give anything to sony, nothing can't be released.
And the picture is like that:
Nocturne Productions - the Estate - Sony.
It's all speculation what i'm doing, but Nocturne have the footage i guess. i don't know what they have given to Michael at the time and what the estate has now in the archives or gotten from Nocturne Productions.
Sony doesn't have anything. they only distribute, what they have been given.

If I remenber right, Birchey was the one who contacted Nocturne and they said,
few Bad concerts were shot on film + plenty the recordings of the jumboscreens
one History is recorded in HD, apparently Munich.
About the Victory tour, don't remember what, how by who, but at least one is on film. thats the rumour floating around.


To be honest i don't want rehearsals as bonus featurette, knowing and seen how less to nothing Michel is doing there. to me wast of space, sorry.
I nice documentary about the tour would be better.

An Off The Wall re-release is not happening any time soon. Bad is the only album to get an anniversary edition under the $250 million deal.

Also Michael Jackson: The Experience was not part of the deal.

I don't have a blu-ray player, so I hope they release the DVD too... I would buy it even if it is on VHS... i don't care about the quality, I just want to see that awesome tour...

I don't have blu-ray player as well. I watch HD on PC and Michael in HD is SO amazing! Blu-ray is a must!

I would buy it if it was on VHS too!! As long as its watchable and clear I'm not that fussed about what it's released on, having said that I'll buy the blu-ray if it is released. I just pray it isn't Yokohama they release!

Blu-Ray would be a sweet idea but i hope like the THIS IS IT footage, the concerts comes in Blu-Ray & regular DVD - main thing here is we get the concerts with the best audio quality there is cause i dont want screaming girls and close up shots from the crowd on the dvd :clapping:

That's exactly how I want it, without over editing and zero crowd shots.

If they release a Blu-ray, they will release a dvd too, thats obvious, so we MUST get Blu-Ray

it's the greatest experience to watch HD Michael on TV!!!Especially a concert!!!

If they release it only on DVD I will be disappointed,but hey,it's better than nothing of course!!!!
